Media personality, Daddy Freeze has berated popular gospel singer, Yinka Alaseyori over a praise and prayer session at the collapsed Ikoyi building days before the incident.

Recall that moments after the unfortunate incident on Monday, November 1st a video of the gospel singer, coordinating a prayer session on the building surfaced and stirred reactions online.

Viral report alleged that the developer, Femi Osibona had invited the gospel singer for a praise and worship session over the project that was near completion.

Many Yinka Alaseyori’s fans thought she was present at the site at the time of the incident and took to social media to express concern. She however, issued a statement debunking the claim, while clarifying that the praise session was days before the incident.

Reacting to her statement, Daddy Freeze wrote,

“Should you be on the site of an uncompleted building praying, singing and dancing with no safety hat, goggles or shoes? Stop endangering your lives! Construction sites are not venues for prayers. With all the prayers did the building still not collapse?? God cannot be mocked”.

In a lengthy Instagram post he again berated her, stating that Nigerian gospel singers and pastors need to do better.

In his words,

“Our gospel singers and pastors also need to do better. There is no scriptural instance where Christ or the disciples went to pray over a building, let alone an uncompleted one”.

  1. Daddy Freeze is always coming online to exhibit his ignorance of the scriptures. The Bible urged us to pray every where!
What happened was unfortunate and shouldn’t create an avenue for gainsayers like Freeze.
