The celebratory message a Secondary school student gave after writing his final WAEC exams has had people wondering if he’ll actually pass the exams given the nature of his message.

The student took to his Facebook page on Wednesday, September 29, to share his excitement after he concluded his WAEC and NECO exams.

The exams which commenced on August 16 will end on September 30, in Nigeria.

Sharing photos with his classmates, he wrote:

“Am happiness. am really give thanks God we start with Bismillah and end with alliamudlliah. am finishing my neco and waec examination I wish myself best of luck and all neco and waec candidate or waec. we are not live our self sinkness all of them can candidate waec and neco examination best of luck.”

His message has had people in doubts that he wrote the exams himself and even if he did, he probably will not get a good grade in English… lol

An inmate who escaped from a police cell in Nkafoa, Central Region, Ghana has narrated how a police officer helped her to escape after she gave in to his demand for sex.

The 27-year-old identified as Theresa Forson was rearrested after she escaped from prison with the help of a prison officer, Lance Corporal Isaac Apomah.

Theresa had been convicted in a theft case and was in police custody at Nkanfoa Police Station awaiting sentencing before she escaped.

Presenting a case against Apomah who made his first appearance before a court on Monday September 27, Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP) Daniel Mensah disclosed that the police officer was the station officer at the Nkanfoa Police Station on September 25, 2021.

He revealed Apomah brought four sachets of ‘Abe Nsuo’ also called “One Show”, to the station and gave the plaintiff, who was at the time, a prisoner on remand at the station, two sachets to drink which she drank.

Around 3:00am, L/Cpl Apomah in a conversation with Theresa, said the detective handling her case was troublesome and that he could release her if she would allow him to have sex with her.

The inmate reportedly agreed to the deal and had sexual intercourse with the prison officer, L/Cpl Apomah, after which he opened up the cells for her to have her bath.

Upon arriving her family house, Theresa narrated all that had transpired to her father-in-law. The man then took her back to Bakaano Police Station where the incident was reported.

She was rearrested and handed over to the Kotokuraba Police for investigations. The prison officer who is to appear before the court again on October 12, 2021, was charged with rape and aiding the escape of a convict.

The Big Brother Naija star who clocked 28 today took to her official Instagram page to share raunchy photos of herself with her over 2million followers.

A Nigerian doctor who took to Twitter to announce that a DNA laboratory where people can run paternity test at a discounted price is opening in Lagos, has alleged that he’s been receiving death threats since the announcement.

The doctor identified as Dr Penking in a tweet urged fathers to take advantage of the discount to confirm the paternity of their children.

“A new DNA Laboratory is opening in Lekki on October 18 and will be offering a whooping 75% discount on DNA Paternity tests for one month as promo. Many families in Nigeria will not wear the same colour of Aso ebi this December”. He tweeted.

In an updated post, Penking alleged that since he made the announcement he has been receiving death threats from people asking him to stop talking about the new DNA laboratory.

“Can you even believe that I’ve received life threats to stop talking about the new DNA Paternity test laboratory launching in Lekki at 75% discount? Paternity fraud in Nigeria is deeper than you can ever imagine. I myself knew it was bad but I didn’t know it was this bad? My God!

Even if this is the last tweet I will ever make about this, Dear Nigerian men, you owe yourselves the duty to find out whether that child under your care is really your blood. Even if you can’t afford for all, do it for your first child at least . You owe yourself this.

Dr. Chike J. Akunyili, husband to former NAFDAC DG, Late Prof. Dora Akunyili is d*ad.

It was gathered that he was shot at Nkpor Junction, Idemili North, Anambra State on Tuesday, September 29, by unknown gunmen. It is reported that he had arrived the state to receive an award on behalf of his late wife when the tragic incident happened.

Though details of the incident are still sketchy, a source close to the family said the deceased was still at the University of Nigeria Nsukka Alumni Association (UNAA) where the late Dora was honoured some hours before he was killed.

The source said: “God, pls render the devil and his agents powerless and useless.
“I was with this man yesterday same yesterday at Sharon Hall, All Saints Cathedral, Onitsha. It was an occasion of University of Nigeria Nsukka Alumni Association (UNAA), Onitsha branch event where they honoured late Dora Akunyili.

“He spoke glowingly about Dora and made a donation of 500k to the association. He was there with his son ,Obum now working with Anambra state government.
“We saw them off to the car and it was emotional when Obum hugged him tight as both of them separated to join their respective vehicles.

A e-hailing driver has been given monetary donations from well meaning Nigerians after a passenger shared a positive ride experience with him.

One Ore Afolayan took to his LinkedIn to share the story on behalf of the passenger who had the experience. Afolayan shared how the said passenger, was impressed with how the driver treated him — the driver’s car had sweets, soda, nuts, bottled water, and Wi-Fi that passengers could use for their convenience.

Unlike many other platforms he had used, that of this driver’s taxi took him by surprise. Afolayan shared that the passenger updated his phone with the free Wi-Fi connection and took to social media to tell everyone of his experience.

After the Twitter user shared his experience, people decided to donate money for the driver for his exemplary service and his bank account detail was shared online.

Afolayan shared photos and wrote,

”Yesterday, a Twitter User used an e-hailing service. He was paired with one of the drivers on the platform and they connected. Unlike many other platforms he had used, this driver’s taxi was mind-blowing.

There were sweets, nuts, soda and a wifi in the car. All of these were freebies for a rider. It was unbelievable.

After his ride – where he had updated his phone with the free wifi service, the Twitter User went back to the Internet and told everyone of his discovery. It was unbelievable. Other people who had had an encounter with the driver shared their experiences.

Before long, conversations about monetary donations started to help the driver restock his freebies’ cabinets. His account details was shared online and trust empathetic Nigerians to start donating.

The donations poured and poured. Via a WhatsApp message, he thanked the Twitter User, the donors and wished them all well. Asides the freebies, he was said to be polite and his car had a nice scent.”

OAP Nedu refutes report that police seized his kids from his ex-wife and handed them to him (Gives details)

Nigerian OAP, Chinedu Ani, aka Nedu, has reacted to the reports that the police in Lagos seized two children from his ex-wife, Uzoamaka Ohiri, and gave to him.

According to Punch News, policemen attached to the state criminal investigation department (SCID) in Panti, Yaba seized two children from Ohiri amid the paternity controversy.

In a new statement on his IG page accompanied with specific details and proof, the comedian has refuted the claims, saying the decision to bring his kids back to him was a unanimous one and was in no way forceful.

According to him, his ex-wife had taken their children to Owerri without his consent and he had to pay for their flight back to Lagos since the decision had already been made that they return to Lagos.

He stated that his ex-wife was invited by the police because of a case of cyber-bullying and other grievances. He wrote,

I am sad that once again, I need to clear the air on what I consider a private matter. But for the sake of all the parties involved, it is pertinent that I do so.
Please let the following be clear to all journalists, blogs, news platforms, etc;

1. Contrary to the rumours being peddled around, I do take care of my children and will continue to as it is my duty.
2. Neither I nor the police forcefully took my kids away from my ex-wife. It was a unanimous agreement. Please feel free to read her handwritten statement and also see the bag with which she brought their clothes.

3. The children in question were taken to Owerri to live for over a month without my consent or permission. My ex-wife took that decision without consulting me… I paid for the flight for her to go and bring them back to Lagos after it was agreed by all parties that it was better they were returned to Lagos especially as they school in Lagos.

4. I am a person who believes in doing things the right way and so far on this matter, I have stayed within the provisions of the law. A case was filed against my ex-wife for cyber-bullying and other grievances. She was invited to respond and the matter is ongoing alongside custody resolution.

I am tired of the sensational manner in which this news is being dispersed.
I do not grant interviews or speak on the matter to the press.
I would advise my ex-wife and her cousins/sister to follow suit.
We are not dealing with inanimate objects here but living and breathing beings who will one day deal with the consequences of this fall-out.
I truly want to continue to focus on my career, my family and my life as I am not the first or the last man to have a failed marriage.

Nollywood actor, Rotimi Salami has dropped his two cents on the trending DNA conversation and quite a number of people have agreed with his opinion.

The actor, in a post on his IG page stated that it isn’t important for a father to carry out a paternity test to check if his children are biologically his. He stated that the only time a DNA test is important is if there’s another person dragging the child and claiming to be the child’s father.

Salami also said a father is someone who raised a child, not the person who gave the sperm.

“Save yourself the heart attack and protect your child’s emotions too” he added.

Nigerian music label executive and entertainer, Davido has shared how his hit song, ‘FEM’, almost landed him in trouble during the #EndSARS protest in 2020.

In a recent interview with L’officiel, a French fashion magazine, Davido revealed that the song which is the lead single off his 2020 ‘A Better Time’ album, gained attention when a random person played the track at a rally to interrupt a government official that was addressing the protesters.

A man has been put under house arrest for beating up a doctor and leaving him with a concussion because the doctor gave his wife a compliment.

The woman, who is a hijab-wearing Muslim, had told her husband, one Bakhriddin Azimov that a Russian dermatologist, Vladimir Zhirnokleev, called her skin “beautiful“.

The man then chose to attack the dermatologist and has been charged with hooliganism. According to RT, the attack happened last Tuesday, Sept. 21, in Nizhnevartovsk, Siberia.

Dr Zhirnokleev said he’d simply asked the woman to show him her elbows, stomach and back and did not ask her to undress.

After checking her, he told her there were no problems and said: “The skin is beautiful.”

But the woman then complained to her husband that the medical examination had not complied with “Muslim law“.

“I am sure the doctor complimented my wife during the examination, which is not befitting of my principles,” said 29-year-old Azimov.

“If you are a doctor, do your job. Excessive compliments and questions are beyond a doctor’s job description.”

However, Zhirnokleev insisted he had simply been giving his clinical opinion of the woman’s skin.

The Komsomolskaya Pravda newspaper reported that he said,

“Muslims should resolve all issues immediately with the management – calmly and constructively.

“Running into a doctor’s office without a trial and smashing his nose is morally and legally wild.

“I am an adult, I have several educations, a lot of experience, and we still live in a state governed by the rule of law. People should obey the law and follow the rules.”

Zhirnokleev was diagnosed with a head injury, concussion and bruising.

Police reportedly seize two children from OAP Nedu’s ex-wife; hand them over to him

The two children Nigerian OAP, Nedu had with his ex-wife, Uzoamaka Ohiri, have according to a new report, been seized from her and handed over to the media personality by policemen attached to the State Criminal Investigation Department, Panti, Yaba, Lagos.

According to a report by Punch, a letter of invitation with reference number CR:3000/LSX/D10/Vol.3/71 which was signed by Fayoade Adegoke, the Deputy Commissioner of Police in charge of the SCID, asks Ohiri asked to see CSP Margaret Ighodalo.

Ohiri was allegedly asked to stop making disparaging comments against the comedian on social media and also report at the SCID regularly and bring two of her three children. The two children were reportedly handed over to their father.

A relative who spoke to the publication, questioned why the police will be interfering in a civil matter. He said,

“Can you imagine the Police are interfering in a civil matter because Nedu is influential?

“This is nothing but oppression. Why should children be brought to SCID? Now, they have been handed over to Nedu. This is sad.”

This comes after the comedian and Uzoamaka Ohiri were involved in a nasty feud earlier this month, which led the media personality into revealing that his ex-wife bore a child that wasn’t his while they were married.

Recall that last week, Biggie used Nini to prank the housemates as he instructed her to use a secret emergency exit door to leave the house for 24 hours. Nini successfully carried out Biggie’s task although it was almost uncovered by the ex-military man, Pere.

However, last night, Pere came accross the secret door and immediatly guessed correctly that it is the same door Nini used to temporarily leave the house.

Big Brother Naija season 6 housemate, Emmanuel’s dad has spoken on his son’s relationship with fellow housemate, Liquorose.

The Mr Africa and his love interest, Liquorose have thrilled fans and won the hearts of many viewers of the show with the way they express their love for each other.

The season saw a couple of ‘ships’ however while some crashed, some were one sided, but the “EmmaRose” ship has continued to sail and the lovebirds made it to the final week.

Emmanuel’s dad in a video serving rounds on social media says he approves of his sons relationship with the professional dancer, while adding that their relationship reminds him of when he met Emmanuel’s mum.

Although Mr Umoh noted that the fate of their relationship after show depends on Emmanuel and Liquorose’s decision, but he commends their respect, love for each other and their consistency.

In other news, Big Brother Naija ‘shine ya eyes’ finalist, Roseline Afije otherwise known as LiquoRose, has revealed that she already feels like a winner by being among the final set of mates in the house.

During her diary session with Biggie, Liquorose placed herself as the winner of the show. She further disclosed that winning the money will change her life and that of her family’s life.

She also opened up on the fact that she’s partly happy and partly unhappy at the return of Pere and Angel as she also wants to be a winner.

Nigerian man nabbed after using his picture as WhatsApp DP on a phone he allegedly stole

A Nigerian man has been apprehended after using his personal picture as the WhatsApp Display Picture on a phone he allegedly stole.

In a video shared online by the victim’s alleged cousin @tm_lemonademouth, the suspect could be seen pleading for mercy while members of a vigilante group put tyres over his head.

However, it is unclear if the vigilantes were trying to execute jungle justice on the suspect.

Sharing the video on Instagram, he wrote,

“This guys stole my cuz Iphone . His luck ran out when he decided to put his picture on the owner’s whatsapp dp… no be juju be that??? who da fuck does that!!! 😱😱😱”

In other news, media personality, Yomi a.k.a YomYom, is of the opinion that spending N1 million on a mobile phone in Nigeria is ridiculous.

In what seems like a reaction to the newly released iPhone 13 which is currently selling for N900k-N1.1 million, Yomi opined that the price is absurd.

According to him, there is no justification for spending so much on a phone, regardless of the features and specification.

Big Brother Naija star, Uriel Oputa has taken to her Instastory to address those pressuring her to find a man and get married.

The reality show star and fitness enthusiast revealed that she has received several comments from trolls telling her to go and get married.

According to her, it is quite sad that in this part of the world, a woman’s achievements means nothing if she is not married. Uriel stated that she puts out food contents that helps thousands of people, yet it is not enough because she’s not married.

Popular comedian and activist, Debo Adedayo better known as Mr Macaroni, has taken to Twitter to express disappointment in the Nigerian Police Force.

He berated the Nigerian police for allegedly operating illegal checkpoints, especially at night, and extorting unsuspecting citizens of their hard-earned money.

According to him, despite the untold hardship in Nigeria, these officers are still collecting money from Nigerians who are working hard to survice.

He wrote on Twitter,

“Nigerian Police Force with illegal checkpoints especially at night. Harassing and extorting Nigerians of their hard-earned money. Despite the hardship Nigerians are going through, police go still come collect the small wey you manage hustle. Shameless!!!”

In other news, Mr Macaroni has made shocking revelation about his university education.

The comic act in a Twitter post revealed he attended four different institutions before he finally completed his degree program.

According to him, at some point people were starting to think he had spiritual problems, but his parents stood by him and supported him all through.

In the tweet, while praying that his parents reap the fruit of their labour he wrote,

Many feared dead, properties razed as petrol tankers explode in Rivers state (photos)

Some persons have been burnt to death and properties destroyed in an inferno that erupted after two petrol tankers exploded in a checkpoint-induced accident at Omurelu commumity along the Elele-Owerri Road, Ikwere Local Government Area, Rivers.

According to reports, the fire spread into the community – destroying houses, valuable properties and leaving some residents severely injured with varying degrees of injuries.

An eyewitness stated that the incident occurred when one of the tankers conveying petroleum products was stopped by a petroleum task force operating in that axis.

He alleged that while the task force officials were trying to inspect the tanker, another tanker driver on speed lost control and hit the stationery one at the checkpoint.

The two tankers reportedly fell, spilled their contents on the floor, and burst into flames.

As at the time of filing this report, the number of lives lost in the fire accident is yet to be confirmed.

New damning evidence has been submitted against embattled actor, Baba Ijesha who is currently facing trial for allegedly raping comedian, Princess foster daughter.

A forensic report which laid out details of how Baba Ijesha allegedly inserted a car key into the vagina of the minor was presented on Tuesday to the Special Offenses Court in Ikeja.

The forensic expert and the Executive Director of Cece Yara Foundation, Olabisi Ajayi-Kayode presented a flash drive, containing a video coverage of an interview with the victim.

Olabisi was called in as a witness by the prosecution team led by the Lagos State Director of Public Prosecution (DPP), Olayinka Adeyemi. The child forensic expert said clinical report on the minor showed Baba Ijesha allegedly engaged the child in sexual activities when she was 7 on two occasions, and on one occasion inserted his car key into her vagina.

“He asked the child if he should remove his penis and asked her to sit on his lap. He told her not to tell anybody. The perpetrator also inserted his car key into her vagina and asked her not to tell anyone.” She said.

The presiding judge, Justice Oluwatoyin adjourned the trial to October 20 and 21 for admission of more witnesses and cross-examination.
