Suspected Yahoo boy attempts to behead girlfriend for money rituals in Bayelsa (Photos)
A Nigerian man who is suspected to be an internet fraudster, ‘Yahoo boy’ has been apprehended by the police in Bayelsa State after an attempt to use his girlfriend for money rituals was foiled.
According to reports surrounding the story, the suspect was nabbed when he was trying to behead the victim along SETRACO Road, Amassoma/Ogobiri axis of the state on Tuesday morning, September 21.
The lady reported to be a student of the Niger Delta University Wilberforce Island (NDU) was fortunately rescued by youths of Ogobiri community and some police operatives.
A post by Kokobaiye Abeki, Special Adviser to Governor Diri on New Media, tells that the suspect who has been dating the girl, lured her to Setraco Road along Ogobiri-Toruebeni drive.
The post reads,
“After he succeeded in roping her hands and legs, he was at the verge of cutting her neck when the savour of her nightmare (Ogobiri Youths) who traced his earlier movement through a revelation from a nearby person caught him together with the efforts of the men of the Operation Doo-Akpo NPF special squad.” Abeki wrote.
The suspect has since been handed over to the Nigeria Police for more investigation.

A gentleman took the bold step of asking his girlfriend to be his soul mate as he bent the knee to propose marriage to her, in the presence of the lady’s grandmother who made the moment so adorable.
The young man popped the question to his partner while her grandma was seated beside her — quite surprisingly and adorable, the young lady wasn’t given so much of an option to think about his proposal before her grandma decided to accept on her behalf.
The man on Twitter with username MJ @Flastar23 took to the platform to share photos from the adorable moment.

Ghanaian actress, Joyce Dzidzor Mensah has appealed to everyone to treat her children with kindness when she’s no more.
The former HIV/AIDS ambassador, who has been open about her HIV status, took to her Facebook to share an emotional post, detailing her emotional and mental struggles with the virus.
In what seems to be her 14th anniversary of living with HIV/AIDS, Joyce urged people not to mistreat her children when she dies because of her HIV status and past mistakes.
She wrote;
“In September 2007 when I was diagnosed, tears never departed from me…. i consoled my mother to stop crying and told her i wasn’t bothered about my status…..but when everyone is sleeping deep at night, I’d sneak out to cry out loud….
“And when I started educating people on HIV, I encouraged others but always cried in silence after my talk….I maintained s smiling face so that most people with HIV will derive some strength from me. I have been admitted to the psychiatric hospital in Hamburg on 4 occasions. 2015, 2016, 2017, 2019 all in a psychiatric hospital for major depression. Due to my constant admission, my son Prince was taken away from me.
“But now I’m weak…Please be kind to my children when I’m no more. Do not treat them badly for my mistakes. God bless you all.”

Ghanaian media personality, Kwame Oboadie has disclosed how his love for traditional food, fufu stopped him from pursuing a career in football.
The media personality gave the disclosure in an interview with Deloris Frimpong Manso aka Delay on the Delay show. According to him, he had to chose between the local delicacy and his promising football career.
He said,
I wasn’t able to become the footballer I had always wished to be because I loved fufu so much. Anytime I got back from playing soccer, my parents will reserve cooked cassava with soup for me to eat because according to them, I failed to help them pound it.
It went on and on until they devised a new strategy to trigger me to stay at home and not play football anymore.
This time around, they crushed the fufu into lumps and poured the soup on it so it get spoilt anytime I return from the field. I changed my mind and stopped playing football so I can get to eat some good fufu. I chose fufu over my football career.

King Sunny Ade loses wife, Risikat Ajoke Adegeye
Legendary Nigerian Juju singer, Sunday Adeniyi Adegeye better known as King Sunny Ade, has lost his wife, Risikat Ajoke Adegeye.
Risikat, a former member of the Lagos State House of Assembly and a party member of the All Progressives Congress (APC) died on Tuesday, September 21 after a brief illness.
Mr George Folarin Olawande in a statement released on behalf of the family confirmed her death.
The statement reads,
“We wish to formally inform, friends, well-wishers, political associates, and the general public that Hon Risikat Ajoke Adegeye passed on after a brief illness during the early hours of Tuesday, 21st September 2021.
Hon Risikat Ajoke Adegeye was a Honourable Member in the 6th Assembly of the Lagos State House of Assembly.
She will be greatly missed not only by her immediate family but also by her political associates and followers. Further information in respect to her burial ceremony will be announced later after extensive consultations with the family.

Nigerian professional dancer, Kaffy has taken to social media to express gratitude to God for sparing her life after she suffered drug allergy.
Kaffy who shared her near-death experience after taking a drug she was allergic to, revealed that at some point her lungs were collapsing, eyes changing colors, belly swelling, and taking breath felt like she was slipping into a dangerous sleep.
Narrating the experience she advised her fans and followers to be careful of medications they take, as some drugs can be lethargic to the system.
Sharing a video of herself singing songs of praises to God for sparing her life, she wrote,

Popular Businesswoman and YouTuber, Laura Ikeji has taken to social media to recount her near-death experience with generator fumes, while warning people of the dangers of putting their generator set close to their home.
Laura, in a series of posts shared on her Instagram page, narrated how she and her friend almost lost their lives after inhaling generator fumes but thankfully, she woke up and went to turn off the generator set before it could cause more harm.

Let me tell y’all a lil story and how dangerous this generator fume is. So years ago I went to visit my friend at her place in Oniru, decided to pass the night. Power went off at 12midnight or so and she went to put the gen on. And we slept off, I woke up about 1 or 1:30 am.
I opened my eyes but I couldn’t move, I couldn’t even raise a finger, we both had inhaled the fume for long, I could barely see anything cos the house was covered in smoke.
And I started praying in my heart, the blood of Jesus save us, save us. Suddenly I started coughing and could move my head, looked at the sitting room and saw my friend on the floor, she already passed out, how she got there I didn’t know. That was when I used all the strength in me to get up the bed, with a terrible headache, my bones were weak, I slowly walked to the door and opened.
Managed to put off the generator that was just in front of the door and started throwing up. Went back into the house that was very dark and started kicking things until I felt my friend’s leg and I started pulling her out of the house still throwing up. We eventually came out.
My breathing was slow, my bones were weak, couldn’t talk or explain to the few neighbors who came to where we laid, just in front of the house on the ground. The neighbors started pouring water on us, and some in typical Naija fashion were praying.
All of a sudden my friend started breathing and throwing up too. Long story short, we survived and left the house that morning. If we had stayed in the house for longer hmmm God forbid. So when I hear a family of 5, 6, etc died from a generator fume, I know what could have happened.
Pls move ur generator far far away from the house u sleep. These generators re dangerous.”

Gospel singer, Lanre Teriba’s baby mama calls him out over his alleged refusal to pay their child’s school fees
Popular Nigerian gospel singer, Lanre Teriba’s baby mama has taken to social media to call him out, accusing him of being a deadbeat dad.
Lanre’s baby mama identified as Natasha, in a lengthy Facebook post alleged that the singer has refused to pay their children’s school fees.
According to her, she borrowed money to enroll their three-year-old son, Diamond in school when she got tired of waiting for Lanre.
To corroborate her claims she shared screenshots of their alleged chat where the singer insisted that she enrolls their children in a government school, since he graduated from one.

Anyone that knows me well will know have been through alot of shit growing up and i made sure i was still responsible and decent 💯 Have never been a lazy girl cause i love good things of life and i chase my needs and leave my wants to God.

The gist naw is not the past but the present. Lanre teriba Atorise ddn’t know how my first kid diamond started school …I had to borrow money to enroll him at 3 when i was tired of waiting for lanre . I took him to social welfare when the relationship wasn’t work with my mental state anymore ,he refuse to go last year before he turn up this year may and started lying to my face and said he wanted to take a 3years old and 2years old to public school …who does that???
For four month naw we have been separated and i felt that will make him take care of his kids …No lanre said he wouldn’t pay school fees cause i left him and he didn’t until they sent them out of school today after asking people to beg him,social welfare officers begged him also last week. Am here to beg all his fans and people connected to him here to beg him to pay the kids school fees and stop living fake life”.
