“My elder sister made me blind because a rich man promised to marry me” – Woman alleges (video)
A visually impaired Ghanaian woman, identified as Portia Ama, has narrated the petrifying story of how she lost her sight.
The woman, who lives in a small village in the Central Region, alleged that her elder sister bewitched her out of jealously because a rich man promised to marry her when she was just 13-years-old.
Ama, in an interview with D.J Nyame of SVTV, alleged that her sister, who was an idol worshipper, was bent on ruining her chances of getting married to the wealthy man so she continuously chanted her name everywhere until she (Portia) became blind.
According to her, she has visited different pastors to help her regain her sight but all efforts have been futile.
Her words,
“I was staying with my elder sister and about 13 at the time. When the man promised to marry me, my sister started chanting my name anywhere she went. She was an idol worshipper. The next thing I knew, I became visually impaired. We went to pastors but no-one could heal me.”
Ama lamented bitterly about living a solitary life in the village and struggling to survive, while her sisters are now happily married with children.

A married woman was filmed assaulting her husband’s young side chick for ‘sleeping with him till daybreak’.
In the video shared online, the woman could be seen mercilessly beating the young lady. While she landed thunderous slaps on the lady’s face she spoke in Twi dialect, asking why the girl had the guts to sleep with her husband.
She also claimed that the alleged side chick slept with her husband till daybreak.

Lady arrested for allegedly selling her photos and Facebook account to internet fraudsters
The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has arrested a lady, identified as Precious Iwuji, for allegedly selling her photographs and Facebook account to internet fraudsters.
According to EFCC spokesperson, Wilson Uwujaren, the suspect was arrested in the Sabo area of Kaduna state, following an intelligence report about her alleged involvement in cyber fraud.
Wilson said preliminary investigation revealed that the suspect engaged in impersonation by selling her photographs and Facebook account to internet fraudsters, popularly known as Yahoo boys, who used them to defraud unsuspecting victims.
He further added that Iwuji and others arrested will be charged to court soon.
In other news, the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission EFCC, Uyo Zonal Command, has secured the conviction of two bank officials identified as Daniel Akpan Eno and Mbuk Idongesit before Justice Edem Ita Kufre of the Cross River State High Court, Calabar for conspiracy and theft of funds in the account of a deceased customer of a commercial bank. Ultimate love stars, Theresa and Iyke have reportedly ended their relationship, two months after their much publicized engagement.
Recall that first runner-up couple of the maiden edition of the reality TV show got engaged on Theresa’s 25th birthday on May 19 and the grand proposal was streamed live on Instagram.

Nollywood actor, Sam Nnabuike has advised his Igbo kinsmen against building multi-millionaire mansion in their hometown.
In a series of posts shared on his Instastories, the actor stated that most of these mansions end up gulping millions in maintenance after staying uninhabited for months. According to him, it is better to build a bungalow or duplex in their hometowns than building gigantic structures.
Sam also faulted Igbo businessmen that do not have houses in the town they run their businesses, but use their money to service their palatial mansions in the village.
Speaking further, the actor stated that those who don’t intend to run for politics have no business building huge edifices in the village as they stay locked up for the major part of the year.

Recall that last night Pere officially fired WhiteMoney who has been cooking for the housemates since they entered into the Big Brother house from kitchen duties.
According to him, his reason for relieving WhiteMoney from his kitchen duties is because he is trying to reduce kitchen monopoly which he thinks is not healthy for the house.
However, at 2 am on Thursday, Whitemoney went into the kitchen to prepare a meal for himself and other housemates who were awake joyfully joined him to eat the meal, an action that has stirred reactions from fans on social media.

According to him, majority of people who put up photos and videos of Sound Sultan, mourning him did it for social media content and not because they care.

The man identified as Peter O. Akoreh on Instagram left an unflattering Comment on Bisi Alimi’s post, “Brother GAYbriel,” he wrote.
Bisi who wasn’t having any of it responded by sharing a screenshot of the troll’s photo on his Instagram Stories and mocked his height.

It would seem that the novelty of the house and the show is starting to wear off the housemates as they are finally letting down their guards. This was even more evident at the Saturday night party. All 22 of them showed us how to let go and boogie down. I couldn’t help it; I joined in on all that unadulterated fun from the middle of my humble abode. It was crazy!
The fun at the party wasn’t the only thing that made the night an absolute boom. The housemates came into the party room slaying! Every single one of them. So, not only did they party hard, they also looked smashing doing it.
Imagine then, that all that glam and excitement and fun happened without being locked down into life long memories? That will be hands down criminal, right? I agree. Thankfully, nothing criminal happened that night.
TECNO’s Phantom X and Camon 17 Pro came through! All of the glam activities and memories of the night got captured by these phones. And, they did an amazing job.

“Breastfeeding was not a beautiful experience for me” – Actress, Lala Akindoju opens up about struggle that led to her child feeding on formula
Actress, Lala Akindoju has disclosed that her baby started feeding on formula 24 hours after his birth because she struggled with producing breastmilk.
Lala in a post she shared on social media to celebrate world breastfeeding week, noted that breastfeeding wasn’t a beautiful experience for her.
According to her, she did everything possible and ate all that was recommended in order to produce enough milk for her son but nothing worked. She eventually resulted to feeding him formula.
She revealed that for awhile she felt guilty that her baby might be lacking the necessary nutrient if he’s fed formula and relatives didn’t even help matters with their constant pressure that she breastfeed and shun formula.
Lala in the post urged women going through the same experience to take things easy on themselves, adding that most important thing is that their babies are well fed, either through formula or breastmilk.

From the moment Adeore was born, my body produced very little colostrum and though the nurses massaged, pressed and squeezed- we only got few drops every time he needed to feed. So 24 hours after delivery, he was given formula which consumed in seconds
In my mind I was like- “I will still breastfeed o”, #BreastisBest right! El-oh-el. The struggle began- my body was not producing enough milk to feed my child. I would spend 40 minutes pumping and will hardly get 20ml of milk. I drank ogi (which I hate), lactation drinks, fenugreek tea topped with 6-8 fenugreek tablets daily. Nothing was working.
I felt guilty. I cried. This is minus the struggle of getting a good latch, cracked nipples and the pain. I was sure I was denying my child the nutrients he needed to grow properly, so I kept at it. I was also worried that I would miss out on the mother & child bond formed during breastfeeding. The calls from aunties saying “hope you’re breastfeeding o”, “don’t give him formula o” – didn’t help at all. I know they meant well but those words triggered me. I couldn’t even confidently say what I was going through. Then I’ll come online and see new mothers posting bottles of milk expressed after 15 minutes of pumping, plus complaints of soaked clothes with milk. At this point I had to ask God if I was a step child.
I breastfed for all 4 weeks and it was hard. Thankfully my husband was very supportive and he was fine with Adeore feeding on just formula. At some point he actually said I should stop, but I was forming I must breastfeed.
If you are experiencing this. You are ok. You are doing great. Be easy on yourself because your baby needs you. Breast milk is great. Formula is great too. A fed baby is a happy baby ♥️.
