In honour of the Late Veteran Actress, Rachel Oniga, a service of songs held at the Catholic Church of Resurrection, Magodo, Lagos state, yesterday, August 26.
Rachel Oniga passed on, on July 31 from heart-related issues.
Her remains will be buried on August 27 at a cemetery yet to be disclosed by the family.
Anti-graft agency, The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), Lagos Zonal Command, have arrested a man identified as Ladeji Kelvin Babatunde for allegedly obtaining over N38million from suspected internet fraudsters in order to prevent their arrest by the Commission.
According to a post on the EFCC’s official page, the defendant allegedly impersonated officers of the Commission and obtained the sum of money by false pretence from the suspected cybercriminals.
Upon his arrest, a four-bedroom uncompleted apartment located at Ikola Road, Alagbado, Lagos, which was developed with the proceeds of the perpetrated fraud, was recovered from him.

Nigerian filmmaker, Imoh Umoren has expressed shock and disbelief after someone he hasn’t spoken to in ages reached out to him for money.
Taking to Twitter, the filmmaker revealed that they haven’t spoken in a decade yet the person contacted him to request for N2 million for his/her wedding.

Nollywood actress, Destiny Etiko and her colleagues, survived a fatal car accident on their way from actor, Stanley Okoro’s burial.
The late actor passed away on Wednesday, August 11, from suspected food poisoning and his colleagues went to his hometown to pay him their last respect.
However, while returning from the burial, some of his colleagues including Destiny Etiko and movie producer, Prince Kevin Uvo, were involved in a car accident, thankfully, they all survived the crash.

A crossdresser simply identified as Ilyasu has been arrested by the Kogi State Vigilante Group in charge of Adavi Local Government.
Ilyasu a young man who disguised as a lady was nabbed on Wednesday morning, August 25, in Zariagi community, Adavi LGA, by the vigilante group when they suspected him of making suspicious moves.
Upon questioning he revealed he’s an indigene of Kogi State from Ofu local government and a dancer, but didn’t disclose what he was doing at the community.
The Chairman of the local government where Iliyasu was apprehended, Hon. Joseph Omuya Salami instructed the Vigilante Group to hand him over to the Nigeria Army for further questioning and find out the motive behind his moves.
Engr. M. Jamiu Habeeb, SA Media & Publicity, Adavi LG, confirmed the Nigerian Army has taken charge of the situation and the issue will be investigated and suspect will be tried if found guilty of any criminal act.

A 20-year-old identified as Udoh Sunday Okon has been sentenced to one-year imprisonment for defrauding an American, Kimberly, to the tune of $500 on Facebook.
The Ilorin Command of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), on Wednesday, August 25, secured the conviction of Udoh for offenses bordering on Facebook lottery scam.
Udoh, an undergraduate, allegedly defrauded an American, Kimberly, to the tune of $500USD via Facebook lottery.
The 20-year-old Akwa Ibom indigene was prosecuted on one-count charge, to which he pleaded guilty.
The charge reads:
“That you, Udoh Sunday Okon (Christopher Wray) sometime in March 2021 at Ilorin, within the jurisdiction of this Honourable Court did cheat by personation when you pretended to be one Christopher Wray a white male with +18315088635 as your WhatsApp business line and fraudulently deceived Kimberly, an American, to send $500.00 ( Five Hundred United States Dollars) worth of Ebay gift card to you after you made him believe that he won $1,000,000.00 (One Million Dollars) Facebook Lottery and you thereby committed an offence contrary to Section 321 of the Penal Code and punishable under Section 324 of the Penal Code.”
Following his plea, Sesan Ola, counsel to the EFCC, urged the court to convict the defendant and sentence him based on his plea and the evidence tendered before the court.
Justice Sikiru Oyinloye of the Kwara State High Court, Ilorin pronounced the defendant guilty of the offence and sentenced him to a term of one year in prison.
The judge, however, gave the convict an option of fine of N200, 000 (Two Hundred Thousand Naira Only).
In addition, the court ordered the forfeiture of N206, 000 draft raised as restitution by the convict and the iPhone which he used in perpetrating the crime to the Federal Government.
Nigeria’s President Muhammadu Buhari has declared that Tuesday’s attack on the Nigerian Defence Academy facility by the infamous Bandits, will only buoy the country’s military action to totally eliminate insecurity in the country.
Buhari said the morale of our Armed Forces will not dampen as it is intended to, instead it will speed up their determination to make a decisive end to the criminality besetting the nation.
In a statement signed by his Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Femi Adesina, Wednesday, August 25, the president noted that the attack, which led to the loss of lives, came at a time that the military had put insurgents, bandits, kidnappers, and other types of criminals on the retreat.

For somedays now Queen has been spending her nights on Whitemoney’s bed except yesterday when he left her on his bed to JMK’s bed.
In their conversation earlier today, Queen questioned why he left her on the bed to join JMK on her bed.
In response White explained that he’s not used to sleeping with a lady on the same bed.
“Sleeping with a lady on the same bed is not my thing. I must tell you the truth, I’m not comfortable on the bed with you. I’m not complaining because I’m using this to work on myself. If I want to start up a family, I must learn how to stay with a woman. I must also learn how to stay with a lady without thinking of opening her legs.” He said.
In other news, Whitemoney and JMK were recently spotted cuddling under the duvet after light out.
While the other housemates went to bed the camera captured Whitemoney fondly called Mazi and JMK enjoying some romantic moment together.

Big Brother Naija housemate, Saga has revealed that he would have rejected the offer to become the deputy head of house if his love interest, Nini, had refused to stay with him in the HOH lounge.
The 28-year-old engineer disclosed this during his diary session on Wednesday, August 25. According to him, he has gotten so attached to Nini and doesn’t think he can stay apart from her for a long time.
He further stated that he has fallen deeply in love with the Edo state housmeate, eventhough he knows she is in a serious relationship outside the house.
”I have become too attached to Nini and I don’t think I can afford to stay away from her for too long. I would have rejected the offer to become a deputy head of house If she didn’t agree to go to the head of house lounge with me.
”I know she said has a serious relationship outside the house but I don’t know why I’m deeply In love with her,” he said.
