Lady narrates how a woman she took as a mother was her husband’s side chic, advised her to leave her marriage and ended up marrying him
A Nigerian woman has narrated how a woman she took as a mother ended up marrying her abusive partner she advised her to leave and suffered the same fate.
According to the lady identified as Omonigho Asekome, she became close with an elderly woman on her street who was a single mother of 4, she revealed they got so close that she started calling her “mommy”.
The elderly woman was a nurse and had a chemist down street, so she would usually tend Asekome wounds whenever her husband now ex, assaulted her.
They developed a close bond and Asekome would usually open up to the woman about her marital challenges, she advised her to leave her abusive husband, an advise she eventually took in 1998 and left with her 3 kids.
Asekome met the shock of her life when she visited the older woman with gifts to thank her for everything, the older woman confessed to dating her ex-husband while they were married and eventually married him after she left him.
She noted that the woman said she advised her to leave the abusive marriage because she wanted to marry her husband as she is matured and knows how to handle man like him, while she (Asekome) is inexperienced.
Asekemo noted that years later the older woman who bragged about being experienced in handling abusive men suffered the same fate and had to leave the man after several assaults and abuse.

So back in the days when I was still with my ex-husband in salolo bus stop area of alagbado, there was a nurse who had a chemist along the road that always gave me painkillers and stitch my wounds whenever I got beat down by my ex. She was a single mom with grown 3 sons and a daughter who was my age. Because of her kindness I got so close to her and started calling her mommy.
I’d tell her everything he did and she’ll advice me on what to do until I ran away with my 3 kids in 1998.
After my graduation, I bought a lace material and some jewelry to go give her and thank her for all she did. As soon as I entered Taiwo street, my neighbors recognized me and jubilated that I escaped and was doing well but I was in a hurry to see mommy.
Her chemist was closed. Her daughter opened the door for me but seemed unhappy to see me and said mommy was in the showers.I sat in the living room to wait for her.Then my eyes caught a calendar on the wall. I froze! It was my ex company calendar. How?? Mommy despised my ex so much.

She said for marrying my ex and not telling me all those time I was coming to report him that they were dating. She said “that Ijebu nurse Auntie that married your ex,I met her at Allen, she had a bandage around her head and said she got like 8 stitches across her forehead like Cain in the bible.” I said accident? She said “Auntie said your ex husband beat her and used her head to smash windscreen of the car he bought for her.They are divorced sef and the matter dey police station because her 3 sons your ex helped to get jobs with lever brothers and AJ Seward beat your ex for beating their mom and your ex take police arrest the boys by calling them robbers.”
I replied “she can handle him. I am the inexperienced one.” There are 3 more betrayals that hurt me to my bone marrow like this. After few years, I’d get news that karma did her job very well. I have come to realized that whenever anyone betrays me, they always get the repercussions.

“There’s no room for laziness and unfruitfulness” — COZA pastor, Biodun Fatoyinbo backs Bishop Oyedepo who sacked 40 ‘unfruitful’ pastors
Biodun Fatoyinbo, the Senior Pastor of the Commonwealth of Zion Assembly (COZA), has come out to defend Bishop David Oyedepo who recently sacked 40 pastors for generating low income in their branches.
It can be recalled that Bishop Oyedepo said the pastors were fired for being “unfruitful and blatant failures”, which sparked outrage on social media.
Reacting to this, Fatoyinbo has declared support for the famous clergyman. According to him, there is no room for laziness and unfruitfulness.
He also questioned if a banker who was fired for not meeting his target would come on social media to rant about being sacked.
He wrote,

Obituary for trader shot dead in Ladipo market released
The family of young trader who was shot dead in the popular Ladipo market, Lagos state, have released details of his burial arrangements to the public.
According to the obituary, the deceased will be laid to rest on Saturday, July 24th, 2021 and his wake keep is scheduled to hold today, Friday, July 23rd.
Late Felix Onu, aka Scata China met his untimely death while he went about his daily duty at the popular Ladipo market in Lagos state. It was gathered that he was carrying his goods into his shop during the fracas between traders and military men when a stray bullet hit him.
Family and friends have since taken to Facebook to mourn the loss of their own who many described as a gentle and honest man.
In one of the numerous tributes penned down to him, a friend of the deceased noted that lots of foreigners patronised Felix because he was trustworthy.
The market was shut down on Thursday, July 22nd to honour Felix and other traders who reportedly lost their lives to the clash.

Comedian, Michael Blackson proposes to his girlfriend during a radio show (video)
Popular Liberian-American comedian and actor, Michael Blackson, has proposed to his Cambodian girlfriend, Rada.
Michael, who is also of Ghanaian descent, popped the question during his interview on American radio show, The Breakfast Club on Thursday, July 22.
Before the proposal, Michael revealed that they were in an open relationship and he was allowed to have one side chick per month. However, he later realised that he wasn’t comfortable with that lifestyle.
“We negotiated that I’m going to have one side b*tch a month,” he disclosed. “I realised that it’s just ain’t me to live that life.”
He added that he really loves Jada because she is not interested in his money or fame.
“I do love her. I really feel Rada is the one. She’s been to Africa to meet my mother. I’ve never had a woman that has my back like her”
“She is loving and doesn’t want anything – nothing at all from me. She doesn’t want any press, money or anything at all. I’ve never had a woman that is this loyal to me.”

“My mom was mad at me after my butt enlargement surgery” – BBNaija’s Khloe reveals
Big Brother Naija star, Abiri Oluwabusayomi popularly known as Khloe, has revealed that her mother was angry after she did her plastic surgery.
Recall that the reality show star was skinny during her appearance as a fake housemate on the BBNaija 2018 edition, however she underwent a total transformation after her butt enlargement procedure few months ago.
Well, Khloe held a Question and Answer session on her Instagram page recently and a curious fan asked if her mother was mad at her for doing the procedure known as Brazilian Butt Lift (BBL)
“So sorry! I don’t want to seem rude but did your mum get angry when you did BBL?” the fan asked.
In response, Khloe disclosed that her mother wasn’t happy about it but she understands what it means to love one’s self.
She replied, “as a mother she was mad but her child and she understand ‘loving yourself'”

An alleged graduating student of the Federal University of Technology Minna (FUTMINNA) has caused a stir on social media over the inscription on his sign-out T-shirt.
One would have expected that graduating students would be more conservative with the inscriptions on their sign out T-shirts following the controversies that trailed viral UNIBEN graduating student who wrote “aggressive malpractice brought me this far” on her sign out, T-shirt.
The controversial inscription on her shirt landed her in trouble as the institution set up a panel to probe her for alleged examination malpractice.
Well, while the lady identified as Peace awaits the final decision of the institution another graduating student has followed in her step and bragged about cheating in every exam as he celebrates his sign out from the institution.
