Revered clergyman, Bishop David Oyedepo has declared that he loves every other minister of God but he’s not friends with every one of them.
The founder and presiding Bishop of the Living Faith Church aka Winners Chapel who stated this in a sermon on Sunday, July 11th noted that he cant be friends with every minister.

A Ugandan woman, Jullian Atukwatse, has narrated how she met her husband, Emmanuel Bujjingo, and how God told her to wait for him, despite the fact that he was her friend’s ex.
Speaking in a recent interview with mywedding, Jullian revealed that she met Emmanuel at Watoto Church downtown where they had gone for evening prayers. According to her, she went with her friend, who had come with her boyfriend (Emmanuel) whom she had never met.
“She introduced me to him (Emmanuel) but honestly speaking, I did not like his style and size. I tried discouraging her but she kept on telling me how good the guy was and especially his love for God,” she said.
Emmanuel and Julian’s friend broke up after some time but the two had already become friends. After a while, he started dating another friend of Jullian, which also didn’t last.
“The relationship with the person I was dating at that time didn’t work out for reasons related to trust and infidelity. Despite that, we remained friends with Jullian. There was nothing between Jullian and I not until the relationship I was in failed. I then reconnected with Jullian more than an acquaintance,” Emmanuel says.
Jullian tried to reconnect Emmanuel with his ex but it didn’t work out because Emmanuel had decided to move on.
Emmanuel stated that as much as he liked Jullian for her striking beauty, especially her alluring eyes, her obedience towards God is what swept him off his feet.
Julian, on the other hand, said she was attracted to Emmanuel because of his spiritual maturity, character and reasoning. She added that most people do not like Emmanuel’s principles but that is what she loves the most about him.
“I began to ‘hear’ from God through dreams. God commanded me to leave my ex and wait for him, l could not believe that of all the men out there, God wanted me to wait for Emmanuel. We are happily married and all I can say is that God’s choice is always the best.”
It didn’t take long for Emmanuel to propose because they were already close friends. He proposed before Kukyala without a ring and she said YES because she knew he was the ONE.
“I really waited for the ring in vain. At some point I gave up, thinking that some things were not meant for me. He finally proposed at a friend’s wedding after six months of dating but since I had given up I thought it would not be a big deal but guess what, it was and it still is because every time I look at the photos and videos they make my day,” she shares.
Emmanuel, who was the best man at the friend’s wedding, had already planned the proposal with his friend and his bride.
The plan was to get the bride to hand over the bouquet of flowers to her signifying that she was next in line.
“As they handed her the bouquet, I stood right behind them, they paved the way and there I was down on my knees holding the ring. She almost fainted. Her joyful celebration drowned my carefully chosen proposal speech. I just put the ring on her finger and later on that night I sent her my speech on Whatsapp,” he said.
The couple got married on June 26, 2020.

Information Blackout: Major Nigerian newspapers engage in joint front-page protest for press freedom (Photos)
In a coordinated effort to protest against infringement on press freedom, major Nigerian newspapers published the same frontpage headline on Monday, July 12.
This comes after the Federal Government of Nigeria proposed a controversial press and media Bill which would allegedly limit press rights and freedom.
Major newspapers like The Sun, Punch, Vanguard, The Guardian, Tribune put out the same “Information Blackout” headline.
The protest was sponsored by the National Union of Journalists (NUJ), National Guild of Editors (NGE) and Newspaper Proprietors’ Association of Nigeria (NPAN).
It was gathered that the coordinated move will run for two days.

Man arrested for allegedly beating his wife to death because she refused to have sex with him
A Nigerian man has been arrested for allegedly beating his wife to death because she refused to have sex with him.
According to a family of the deceased woman who shared the heartbreaking story on social media, the suspect was in the habit of beating his wife, and has called for justice for his late aunt.
He stated that on June 27th, the woman, Mrs Ugieki Asemota returned home from a wedding to find her husband drunk, so she had a bath and locked herself in a room to avoid getting beaten which is allegedly her husband’s habit when he’s drunk.
Later that night the husband reportedly banged on her door asking for sex, she turned him down and refused to open the door.
She feared that her husband could break down the door so she jumped out of her room through the window to seek help, but unfortunately before she could get help he attacked her, repeatedly hit her with planks and block till she bled and fainted.
She was rushed to the hospital where she eventually died by concerned neighbors.

Moment Governor Sanwo-Olu arrested traffic robbers in Ojota, Lagos State (photos)
Photos serving rounds online has captured the moment Lagos state governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu personally arrested traffic robbers in the Ojota area of the state.
Luck ran out on the suspected criminals on Monday, July 12th as they were nabbed while attempting to rob a motorist around Ojota in-bound Alausa.
It was gathered that the machete-wielding suspects were attempting to drag the motorist off his vehicle, when the governor’s convoy arrived the scene.
The security personnel attached to the Governor accosted the suspects, retrieved their dangerous weapons and arrested all three of them.

In other news, the executive Governor of Lagos State, Mr Babajide Sanwo-Olu, has said the parents of children convicted of cultism will also be punished.
The Governor made this known while addressing students on Thursday, May 27, during the Children’s Day celebration at the Police College, Ikeja.
Sanwo-Olu, who was represented by his deputy, Dr. Obafemi Hamzat, said a new law had been signed to fight cultism and it includes punishment for parents of wards convicted of cultism.

Barrister Franklin Ufu, who is a cousin of Michael Ataga, the deceased boss of Super TV, has opened up in graphic details, how the body of Ataga was found after he’d been killed.
In an interview with CrimerFighters NG, Barrister Franklin Ufu who is a cousin of the deceased hinted that Chidinma might have not acted alone in killing the deceased.
Ufu said;
”I have had the very regrettable priviledge of seeing that dead body five time. My cousin’s hands were tied so badly that the rope entered his skin. The rope is right there as an exhibit with the police.
That binding could not have been done by that lady alone, not possible, even if he was drugged. It is not possible because I saw the lady and I saw my cousin and I said this is not possible.
Apart form the fact that he was tied, there were multiple stabs on his body. So that story of two stabs and neck is not true. He was stabbed in other places, his leg. Infact in Yaba mortuary, the attendants were so dramatic that they told us clearly. The stabbing here (touching his stomach) was so bad it is a hole. The guy stuck his two fingers into my cousin’s body in my presence. He was stabbed here(touching the right side of his neck” deliberately twice and on his body multiply”

Man returns N2.5m mistakenly paid into his account
Julius Eze is a Facebook user, and is currently trending on the platform after he revealed that he returned 2.5 million naira that was mistakenly paid into his bank account.
Eze who describes himself as an entrepreneur explained that on Friday Evening, July 9th and Saturday, July 10th he got credit alerts totaling 2.5m.
He explained that he was later able to trace the owner and transferred the money back.
He shared screenshots of his bank transactions and explained that he couldn’t keep the money because a good name is better than ill-gotten wealth.

In an apparent reaction to this, Kemen has now taken to his Instagram page to correct the popular notion that the attention people give dead people is “fake love”.
According to him, huge respect and attention can only be given to the dead because it is a one-time affair, adding that it can’t be given to a living person because it is not sustainable in the long run.
He wrote;
“The love, attention, and respect accorded to the dead can only be accorded to the dead because it is a one-off it’s called “last respect”. You can’t give such to the living cos it’s not sustainable. Don’t mistake this reality for some selfish emotional bais.”

Nigerian singer, Small Doctor has shared his last WhatsApp chat with veteran singer, Sound Sultan as he takes to social media to mourn him.
Olarenwaju Fasasi popularly known as Sound Sultan died yesterday, Sunday, July 11th after battle with cancer. However, in his last chat with Small Doctor he was positive about recovering from the ailment.
When Small Doctor reached out to ask about his health he stated that he was recuperating and has been discharged from the hospital to begin the next phase of his treatment from home.
Unfortunately he lost the battle to cancer yesterday and has been buried in New Jersey according to Muslim rites.
The late veteran singer who died at the age of 44 is survived by his wife, Farida Fasasi and three children.
Sharing a screenshot of his last conversations with the late singer, Small Doctor captioned it, “Rest easy bro”.

Man slumps and dies after DNA test allegedly showed he’s not his son’s biological father
A young Nigerian man reportedly slumped and died after DNA test allegedly revealed he’s not the biological father of his son.
According to a friend of the deceased who shared the heartbreaking story on Facebook, the man who was based abroad discovered his wife was cheating on him with a younger lover after he stumbled on a Snapchat video.
Following the discovery he rushed to Nigeria and requested that a DNA test be carried on his supposed son. However test result revealed he’s not the biological father of the little boy who he thought was his son all along.
Shattered by the DNA test result the man reportedly slumped and died.

The DNA test revealed that Lady Storm’s daughter was not fathered by businessman Tinarwo “Mukanya” Gotora as the she has always claimed, but by a South African-based car dealer, Luckmore Pongolani.

Kulture clocked 3 on Sunday, July 11, and her parents threw her a grand princess-themed birthday party. During the party, rapper Offset presented her with a Richard Mille watch, which is reportedly worth $250,000.

A South Africa based Nigerian lady has taken to social media to cry for help after her shop was vandalized and looted by protesting South Africans over the weekend.
According to a report by Aljazeera, Violent rioting has erupted in two South African provinces following the imprisonment of former President Jacob Zuma, with supporters blocking roads and looting shops.
A Nigerian lady who was one of the victims of the looting which took place last weekend took to her Instagram account to air her anger and frustration.
According to her, all her skin care products and clothes in the shop were stolen asides a sofa.
Sharing videos of the looted store, she wrote,
“This is what South Africans did to my store in 14 Brickhill Road, KwaZulu-Natal Durban. They looted everything and stole all my goods they did not leave anything… All my cloth and skin care products..
“Been out since 4am midnight with my innocent little kids cos I don’t have nanny. God help me ooo, what have I done…Now they will say we foreigners are this and that. I curse this south Africans with tears in my eyes. Please pray for me cos am heart broken. I don’t know what to do”.

President Buhari mourns veteran singer, Sound Sultan
President Muhammadu Buhari has expressed sadness over the passing of popular Nigerian singer, Olanrewaju Fasasi better known as Sound Sultan.
In a statement issued by his Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Chief Femi Adesina, the President noted that the death of the music icon is not only a loss to the Nigerian music industry but to Nigeria as a whole.
President Buhari described the deceased as a kind and generous citizen who was deeply passionate about issues in the country,
The statement read in part,
“Sound Sultan’s demise is not only a loss to the Nigerian music industry, but to the country as a whole. As a celebrated rapper, singer, songwriter, actor, he lived an exemplary life, achieved several milestones in his career and contributed greatly to the development of the Nigerian music and entertainment industry through his artistic genius, creativity and talent, which has inspired many young Nigerians in the industry.
“He was kind, generous, and deeply passionate about issues in the country, which reflected in his music and art, and as an avid basketball fan, he made telling contributions to the development of local basketball in the country. The President prays for the eternal repose of the soul of the departed and divine peace and comfort for the family, friends and associates”.

Controversial Investigative journalist, Kemi Olunloyo has disclosed that she’s battling Osteoarthritis and Carpal tunnel syndrome.
The 56 year old who disclosed this via Instagram page urged the public to add her in their prayers as she revealed the pain is unbearable.
In her words,
“Keep praying for me. The pain is too much!! I’m suffering from Carpal Tunnel Syndrome. I may be back August or September. I will be checking on you once a week. Pls check on me too. I have Osteoarthritis and Carpal Tunnel. I can’t use my hands much due to pinched nerves”.
Giving an update on her health and treatment, she added,
“Doctors say it comes with old age and a busy hand, holding phones for years as a digital Journalist and filling prescriptions with the counting spatula for 33 yrs. Last time I had this was 199. I’m on high dose Calcium, anti-inflammatory drugs and nerve/muscle relaxants”.
