A fresh graduate of the Ambrose Alli University (AAU), Ekpoma, Ella Williams, has been reportedly shot dead by gunmen suspected to be herdsmen along the Benin-Ekpoma expressway.
It was gathered that Ella was travelling from Benin City to Ekpoma when the gunmen opened fire on the vehicle killing her on the spot while other passengers were abducted.
One Asomba Andrew Egbuonu, who confirmed the incident on Monday, wrote on Facebook ;
“I received the devastating news of the demise of a young lady and a promising future of the Nigerian nation, Miss Ella Williams, in the hands of bloodthirsty and heartless Herdsmen on the Benin – Ekpoma Road in Edo State”
Miss Williams who has just graduated with a Masters in Architecture from Ambrose Alli University Ekpoma, was said to have traveled from her Benin base to pick up her Call-up. She never made it back as her vehicle was attacked by murderous marauders who ambushed vehicles by opening fire on them with their small arms (aka AK47 Assault guns) killing her on the spot.
What a country where human lives have no value, especially to these emotion-less invaders. All over Nigeria, criminals and kidnappers plan and find ways of stopping vehicle before kidnappings their victims. This appears to be too much work for these roaming marauders who prefer to use their bullets indiscriminately to stop vehicles on highways, killing the drivers and any other unfortunate passengers, before kidnapping the leftover survivors and herding them into our vast ungoverned bushes and forests.
That this modus operandi has been used repeatedly with almost no consequence for these criminals is unacceptable. The Nigerian Government under the watch of our President cannot continue to claim helplessness and reign as Nigeria’s best are wasted all over Nigeria.
Where is the great and valiant Nigerian Army (and our Armed Forces) that used to be respected all over the African Region. How has our great Armed Forces suddenly turned into such impotence and inability to go into the brushes to flush out neutralize these bloodthirsty elements.
I honestly cannot fathom all these happening in my great country except there is some unexplained collusion, and the deliberate looking of the other way (and I sincerely pray this is not the case).
Miss Williams is gone, lost to a nation in need of her brightest and best. Her parents are heartbroken; her friends and colleagues in deep shock; her killers are out their still demanding and waiting to collect ransom from the surviving passengers from last week’s murderous and senseless kidnapping; and the Nigerian State moves on as it is business as usual to our Rulers.
Rest in peace sister! May this Government not leave this as their most remembered legacy.
A Lagos magistrate court has denied Nollywood actor, Baba ijesha bail in the ongoing trial over alleged child molestation.
The actor who was arrested in April for allegedly sexually molesting a 14-year-old girl since she was 7, was granted bail on health grounds after spending 25 days in police detention. However, it was gathered that the actor remained in police custody despite the bail.
Omiyinka popularly known as Baba Ijesha appeared in court today for his first trail and the presiding judge, P. E Nwaka, in his ruling held that the court cannot grant the actor bail because the matter is beyond its jurisdiction, after his counsel, Kayode Olabiran, pleaded with the court to release him on grounds of his deteriorating health.
According to the judge, the case has already been filed before the high court. Similarly, the superintendent of police in charge of the case, Yetunde Cardoso also stated that the matter is now beyond the police.
“Mr Olanrewaju was actually granted bail during the JUSUN strike and based on the conditions given, he couldn’t meet them and he was properly charged today (Wednesday).
Just like the court stated, the case has already been filed before the high court and the Directorate of Public Prosecution (DPP) of Lagos State Ministry of Justice has taken over the matter from the police.
So presently, we have handed over to the DPP so the case is before them (DPP). It has nothing to do with the police anymore, it’s now left for the DPP to handle it.” Cardoso added.
A South African man, identified as Kenny Dlamini, has turned himself in to the police after allegedly killing his girlfriend in cold blood.
According to reports, the suspect shot and killed his 24-year-old girlfriend and mother of his child, Nozipho Mabuza, in the Old Dobsonville section in Johannesburg, Gauteng province on Sunday, June 13.
The couple reportedly had an argument before he shot her four times in the wee hours of Sunday. However, the reason behind the argument is still unknown.
The deceased sister, Tashie Mabuza, has taken to Facebook to mourn her death. She also promised to take care of her son.
She wrote,

Nollywood actor, James Omiyinka otherwise known as Baba Ijesha, has been arraigned at the Magistrate Court 1 Yaba, earlier today, Wednesday June 16th.
The actor who was caught on camera molesting comedienne, Princess’ 14-year-old foster daughter appeared in court for the first time this morning.
The embattled actor was in court in company of his colleague, Yomi Fabiyi who has been publicly supporting him since the beginning of the whole sage, and some family members.
Yomi Fabiyi while speaking with newsmen revealed he was in court because he believes in rule of law and to support his colleague.
“I am in court because I believe in the rule of law and I have right to come to the court and observe the case. The young man is my colleague; I cannot deny him at this stage, I am too refined for that”. he said.

Luck ran out on a cheating Ugandan married woman as she allegedly got stuck to her lover, during a sex romp on Wednesday morning, June 16th.
According to an eyewitness, the married woman who was having sex with another man was forced to call for help after she got stuck to her lover and their organs could not separate.
The incident which was said to have happened in Gulu city, in the Northern Region of Uganda had residents disturbed while they tried to separate the lovers. However, after all efforts to separate them proved abortive, they were eventually separated when the woman’s real husband reached the scene and touched her waist.
A Facebook user, Pai Robins OgwengAkiiki who shared the unusual incident on the platform revealed the two are now in police custody.
“Cheating sexually is bad. #There was drama this morning in Gulu city as a married woman who was having sexual intercourse with another man got stucked like dogs.in that after they were done with sex, their sexual organs could not separate but was stucked in that it failed to separate however much they tried. They started making alarms that attracted police and locals. It was after the real husband of this woman came and touched their waist, there sexual organs then got separated. The two are now in police custody…I want to be like this woman’s real husband.” He wrote.
Controversial media personality, Uche Maduagwu has alleged that the 2021 Rolls Royce Cullinan popular singer, Davido, acquired a month ago is not his.
Uche disclosed this in a post he shared on his Instagram page. According to him, the luxury automobile which is valued at around $350k belongs to Davido’s father, Adedeji Adeleke.
The openly gay actor also vowed to leave the country if Davido says he is the true owner of the Rolls Royce.

A woman who broke the Guinness World Record after giving birth to 10 babies has reportedly has gone missing, according to her supposed baby daddy, Tebogo Tsotetsi.
Recall that Gosiame Thamara Sithole, 37, gave birth to her decuplets – two more than doctors had earlier detected during the medical scans – at a hospital in Pretoria.
However, in a new development Tebogo Tsotetsi says he no longer believes that his girlfriend gave birth to their children.
This is coming after the government and hospitals questioned the multiple birth. His suspicions grew and he has now concluded that the “decuplets” do not exist.
In a statement released on Tuesday, June 15, the supposed dad apologized for any “inconvenience and embarrassment” and noted that his family has “concluded there are no decuplets“.
According to him, he made several attempts to visit his girlfriend and the babies but she has failed to disclose her whereabouts and the condition of their babies.
The family’s spokesman Russell Baloyi told Times Live,
“We realised that as messy as the situation was for the country, given the conflicting statements that have been coming out, it’s about time we put this thing to rest and work on the facts.
“The whereabouts of the mother are still unknown. In terms of the pregnancy, the reality of it was that the mother was pregnant.”
News24 confirmed that a missing person case has been opened to locate the missing woman and bring her home safely.

A young lady was brutally injured by some suspected kidnappers who attacked her cab in Lekki, Lagos state on Sunday, June 13th.
It was gathered that the lady identified as Tee was on her way to Lekki on Sunday night, when the unknown men double crossed the cab she was in and allegedly stabbed the driver, then later took Tee away in their car.
They reportedly stabbed her multiple times while she kept struggling with them till she was able to escape through the window of the car, a black matrix.
A friend of the victim, cammyashlovee who shared videos and photos of severely injured Tee on Instagram while recounting the incident wrote,

Popular Nigerian media personality, Denrele Edun has revealed his sister recently lost her job because she was related to him.
According to him, his sister who was a teacher in a primary school was sacked after the owner of the school discovered that she’s related to him.

Villagers in Thailand’s Chachoengsao province, Yothaka, have erected a massive penis status to call forth rain and end the dry season.
Farmers in the community had been worried because it hadn’t been raining and water from the irrigation canals were too salty and was damaging their crops.
To end the period of drought, they erected a giant penis status, otherwise known as “Palad Khik”, on June 9.
The local village headman, Chamnan Kenthongdaeng, 52, revealed that two days after the giant penis was installed, rain showered for about half an hour on June 11.
Koson Samang, the headman of a nearby village, recorded a video of the rain as proof.
However, farmers complained that the rain didn’t fall long enough to irrigate their farms. So, Chaman promised that they will continue offering prayers to the statue.
Speaking in an interview with Pattaya News, Chaman revealed that the penis statue represents fertility and new growth. Adding that it has been a tradition for decades, dating to the time of his grandparents.
He said the giant penis, erected in the middle of the road, wouldn’t cause any traffic problems because it was built on a cul-de-sac.
“It will be removed as soon as the seasonal rain comes,” he promised.
Meanwhile, local residents have been encouraged to pray to the gigantic penis and leave small offerings.

A Nigerian lady, Udeh Chiamaka Victoria, has warmed the hearts of many after she pulled an unusual stunt in the Miss Africa Russia pageant show.

Embattled Nollywood actor, Baba Ijesha would be arraigned in court today, June 16th for the first time since his arrest over alleged child molestation.
Baba Ijesha who was recently granted bail on health grounds after several weeks of being in police detention for allegedly molesting comedian, Princess foster daughter would be arraigned at the Magistrate Court 1, Yaba by 9am today.
Meanwhile, the Lagos State Domestic and Sexual Violence Team (DSVRT), has revealed it is actively following the case.
In a statement released on Friday, April 30th, DSVRT says it is following up on the case and has absolute confidence in the criminal justice system in the state.
The statement reads,
This is to inform members of the public that the Lagos State Domestic and Sexual Violence Team is actively following up on the Baba Ijesha’s case, we are also in direct contact with the complainant with a view to providing the necessary support.
We confirm that the duplicate case file has been forwarded to the Directorate of Public Prosecution (DPP) for legal advice. For avoidance of doubt, the following allegations are being considered:
(1) Sexual Assault by Penetration- S 261 of the Criminal law of Lagos State, 2015 punishable by Life imprisonment
(2) Attempted Sexual Assault by Penetration-S262 of the Criminal law , punishable by 14 years imprisonment
(3) Sexual Assault- S263 of the Criminal Law, punishable by 3 years imprisonment
(4) Indecent treatment of a child- S135 of the Criminal Law punishable by 7 years imprisonment
We have absolute confidence in the criminal justice system, as well as social support structures in Lagos State in ensuring justice is served in this matter and most importantly, the survivor receives the relevant support on her journey towards healing.

Popular Nigerian singer and proud mother of one, Simi, has addressed womb watchers insinuating that she’s pregnant again and expecting her second child.
It all started after Simi shared a photo of her one-year-old daughter, Adejare doing an unusual stunt, and reacting to the photo fans and followers of the singer noted that Deja’s posture suggests that another baby is on the way.
The ‘Duduke’ crooner who apparently wasn’t having any of it, took to her Insta-stories to address the comments. Emphasizing that she’s not pregnant, Simi noted that was not the first time her daughter would try that stunt while playing.

“Lotta people saying babies do that while their mom is pregnant. She did that months ago too, and I ain’t seen no baby. Don’t let me block you ok? Pregnant ko covenant ni”.

A Nigerian cleric, Reverend Polycarp Zango, of the Church of Christ in Nigeria ( COCIN), Wild Life Park in Jos, Plateau State has regained his freedom after spending 7 months in Boko Haram captivity.
The Christian clergyman was kidnapped by the insurgents along Maiduguri- Damaturu road last year October.
