Man accused of luring his ex-girlfriend out, beating her and forcefully taking their 11-month-old baby she kept after he asked her to abort the pregnancy
A woman, identified as Dania Ebunoluwa, has accused her ex-lover of allegedly “stealing” their 11-month-old baby she kept after he told her to abort the pregnancy.
Ebunoluwa shared her devastating story with popular activist, Dr. Yolanda George-David and has appealed to Nigerians to help her get justice.
According to her, her ex-lover named Ibrahim, lured her and her child out to a fancy restaurant, physically assaulted her till she fainted, then forcefully took her baby away from her.
She said the case has already been reported to the police but she claims the police are on his side because he has “millions to spend on them”.

“I am dania ebunoluwa, a graduate of EKITI STATE UNIVERSITY and also a young business owner. I met Ibrahim Oladipo in 2018 which he asked me out on dating him and I agreed. On the long run I got pregnant and I told him and his mother but they didnโt accept the child and asked me to abort the baby.
So On the long run while I was pregnant I met mr Lekan and I told him that I was pregnant and he accepted and he did introduction. After 5months of giving birth to the baby girl called DAVINA, Ibrahim oladipo insisted on carrying out a DNA which came out positive. Before and after the birth of the baby my family which is my father, mum and fiancรฉ took all responsibilities of the child. They paid all necessary bills and took perfect care of her.
While my father who is a retired commander in the navy was planning my wedding with my fiancรฉ which was suppose to hold on the 4th of may 2020, Ibrahim came to our house to show interest in getting married to me, he insisted that I was the one he wanted to marry me, so my dad had to put the wedding with the my fiance on hold. My dad asked him to come with his family to collect the engagement list. He didnโt come back for the list but after 2 months he called my Both parents he wasnโt interested in the marriage because we are not compatible ,which is not even true , the main reason why he ended the relationship with me was because he has impregnated another lady .
After all this happened on the 16th of May 2020 Ibrahim oladipo tricked me over to a restaurant called king fisher located in LEKKI phase 1, he was there in the company of some lady who pretended to an event planner, after some minutes he assaulted, humiliated and beat me to stupor which I acquired a severe injury on my face and I fainted , he assaulted me and took my 11 months old baby and ran away , after I woke up from fainting I discovered that he has kidnapped my baby and ran away.
For good 2 weeks I didnโt set my eyes on her. Not until on the 2nd of June where the Ikeja police command invited us and they handed a 11 months old baby the Ibrahim . Iโm so scared and worried that Ibrahim has my child for fetish purposes .
When I saw my daughter on the 2nd on June in the police premises, my heart was bleeding because my daughter isnโt in a good state she has been treated badly All efforts to know where the location of my baby was proved abortive hence I came to gender unit at SCID Panti to assist me on retrieving my baby back . While I was waiting for progress on the case, I honored the invitation of the Police at Ikeja command where I saw my baby for the first time in two weeks I saw the baby in a bad state , I tried to hold and touch my baby then a fight ensued between us.
The OC gender in police headquarters CSP Gladys Faniyitayo refused to give me audience and she threw all of us out including my parents. my father tried to introduce himself and she shunned him. My mum tried to beg and appeal with her but she threw her out of her office. I donโt understand why my baby who was stolen from me by the father who is a student and doesnโt have a clear source of income.. was given to the same man by ASP Bimbo of Gender Unit, Police State Headquarters Ikeja without allowing me to tell my side of the story.
The entire Gender unit team at the police headquarters seemed to be acting a script written by Ibrahim. My father a Retired senior officer in the Navy and my mother were present Right now Iโm worried because of how she was looking emaciated and unkept , Iโm begging CSP Gladys Faniyitayo to help recover my child and keep her safe before my daughter is used for ritual purpose . My baby who is breastfeeding was stolen from me by Ibrahim oladipupo after assaulting me in public two weeks ago, has now been handed over to the same Ibrahim who assaulted me.”

The lady, identified as Pearl Mthombeni, had taken to Facebook to flaunt her brand new whip when she went to pick it up at the car dealership on April 17, 2021.
She captioned the photos, “The power of an ancestor. The power of god.”
Pearl received many congratulatory messages from her friends and followers. Unknown to her that some persons were lowkey hating on her.
Barely 2 months afterwards, Pearl revealed that some unknown persons had set her new car on fire out of jealousy.
On May 30th, she took to Facebook to share photos of the badly damaged car and wrote,
“Oh dogs, your jealousy can’t be compared to anything,” she lamented.
Pearl went on Facebook again on Tuesday, June 1, to lament bitterly about the loss of her brand new car.
“I don’t think I can survive this. It is just too much.”

The twins named Emmanuella and Daniella recently celebrated their first birthday in Port Harcourt, Rivers State.

The House of Representatives’ Special Committee on Constitution Review has received a proposal to change Nigeria’s name to the United African Republic.
Adeleye Jokotoye, a tax consultant, submitted the proposal to the committee at the South West Zonal Public Hearing in Lagos on Wednesday, June 2, 2021.
While presenting the proposal, he said Nigeria’s current name was an imposition of its past colonial masters and should be changed. He said a change of name for the country would physically and psychologically reflect a new beginning.

“We should acknowledge that Nigeria is now a failed country” โ Former American Ambassador to Nigeria tells US
An ex-United States Ambassador to Nigeria, John Campbell (L) and a former Director with Harvard Universityโs Kennedy School of Government, Prof. Robert Rotberg (R), have said it’s time for the United States to acknowledge that Nigeria is a failed state.
Campbell and Rotberg stated this is in light of the many security threats plaguing the country.
This was disclosed in an article titled, “The Giant of Africa is Failing” which was published in the May/June edition of Foreign Affairs magazine.
Both men stated that every part of Nigeria now faces insecurity which threatens the nationโs corporate existence.
The article read in part,
“Nigeriaโs worldwide companions, particularly the USA, should acknowledge that Nigeria is now a failed state. In recognition of that truth, they need to deepen their engagement with the nation and search to carry the present administration accountable for its failures, while additionally working with it to supply safety and proper financial system.”
Campbell and Rotberg noted that the security agents have been unable to curb crime due to the sophisticated weapons that the criminals in the country have known their possession.
They also spoke about the Buhari Administration, stating that the country had moved from being a weak one to a failed one.
“Underneath the administration of President Muhammadu Buhari, a number of overlapping safety crises has remodelled Nigeria from a weak state right into a failed one. Buhariโs authorities has struggled to quell numerous Jihadi insurgencies, together with the one waged by the militant group Boko Haram,” the article read.
They also alleged that the Federal Government seemed to have given up in some areas and non-state actors had taken over while quasi-police organisations and militias controlled by state governments have become more common.
The authors stated that due to kidnappings and other crimes, several schools had been forced to shut down.
The article reads,
“Regional quasi-police forces and militiasโgenerally related to state governments however not often formally sanctionedโtrain de facto authority in some areas. However in lots of others, the federal authorities have successfully ceded management to militants and criminals.”
Campbell and Rotberg said happenings in Nigeria also affect other areas of Africa. The article adds that Nigeria depends too much on oil and is regularly faced with economic disasters.
They wrote,
“However the Nigerian state has long failed to supply its residents with social companies and Nigerian politics is basically an elite sport disassociated from governance.
“The Federal Government doesnโt or cannot tax the true wealth of the nation, stays too depending on income from oil and gasoline, and lurches from one fiscal disaster to a different. Corruption is structural, too, casting almost everybody as each perpetrator and sufferer.”
The authors recommended that through conferences, technical recommendations, and different instruments of “comfortable diplomacy,” the US ought to help civil society and Nigerian non-governmental organisations in their efforts to strengthen the nationโs democracy.

Serial burglar apprehended for stealing 26 generators in Ondo State(Photo)
A 26-year-old man Opeyemi Tosin said to be a serial burglar has been apprehended for reportedly stealing no fewer than 26 generators in Akure, the capital of Ondo State.
Opeyemi was nabbed alongside two accomplices, one ThankGod James, 22 and Sodiq Segun, 23 who were accused of allegedly aiding Ope in the sales of the stolen generators.
Tosin confessed to the crime at the state police headquarters, and stated that he began the generator theft 5 months ago.
Sharing how he operates, Ope, who also happens to be a drycleaner, revealed that he first surveys the environment before going back to carry out the crime. He went on to share that his two accomplices were generator repairers who look for buyers for the stolen generators.
Commissioner of Police in the state, Bolaji Salami who also commented on the arrest of the suspect he described as a serial burglar, revealed that 26 generators were recovered from those the suspect had sold them to.

Controversial media personality, Daddy Freeze has countered the popular Christian saying that “what God cannot do does not exist”.

Teenager who fought off bear to save her dogs reveals what motivated her (video)
The teenage girl who recently became a sensation after she fought off a bear to save her dogs has revealed what pushed her to make the daring move.
The teenager identified as Hailey Morinico, in an interview with CNN spoke about what motivated her to run towards the bear and push it off her garden wall to prevent it from attacking her dogs.
“Honestly, there was nothing really going through my mind, except that I had to protect my dogs,” she told CNN.
According to her, when she saw her smallest dog Valentine literally leave the ground in the bear’s paw she knew “I had to do what I had to do.”
“So I knelt down and had about 2 seconds to think, and the first thing that popped into my head was to push the bear off the ledge.” She added.
Her mother, Citlally Morinico, who was out gardening in the back yard with her daughter when the incident occurred, told ABC7 she can barely look at the video.
“I just break down every time I see (it),” she said. “It’s just horrifying to watch,” she said.

Federal Government accuses Twitter of double standards
The Federal Government has accused American Social networking company, Twitter for alleged double standards on issues concerning Nigeriaโs domestic issues.
The Minister of Information and Culture, Lai Mohammed while reacting to the decision of Twitter to delete President Buhari’s tweet where he made reference to the 1966 Civil war, said Twitter had not been fair to Nigeria.
According to him, Twitterโs role on issues concerning Nigeria is suspicious and Nigeria would not be fooled. Speaking further, he alleged that the social media giant also displayed the same bias during the #ENDSARS protest.
Speaking to State House correspondents at the Presidential Villa on Wednesday, he said,
โTwitter may have its own rules, they are not the universal rules. If Mr President, anywhere in the world, feels very bad and concern about a situation, he is free to express such views.
โNow, we should stop comparing apples with oranges. If an organisation is proscribed, it is different from any other which is not proscribed.
Two, any organisation that gives directives to its members, to attack police stations, to kill policemen, to attack correctional centres, to kill warders, and you are now saying that Mr. President does not have the right to express his dismay and anger about that? We are the ones guilty of double standards.
I donโt see anywhere in the world where an organisation, a person will stay somewhere outside Nigeria, and will direct his members to attack the symbols of authority, the police, the military, especially when that organisation has been proscribed. By whatever name, you canโt justify giving orders to kill policemen or to kill anybody you do not agree with.โ
Seyi Makinde slashes LAUTECH’s tuition fees by 25%
Oyo State Governor, Seyi Makinde has announced a 25% reduction in the tuition fees of students of Ladoke Akintola University of Technology (LAUTECH), Ogbomosho.
The Governor made this announcement while speaking with the students at the school auditorium on Tuesday, June 1.
Makinde noted that the 25 percent reduction applies to every student, including indigenes and non-indigenes.
He said that although LAUTECH tuition fees is the lowest among state-owned universities in the country, โbut I have approved your demand on the tuition fees reduction.โ
The governor added,
โI am glad to be back among you. After the 2019 election, I should have returned to say thank you, but I didnโt want to come until I fulfill what I promised you, which is the sole ownership of LAUTECH by Oyo State.
โI am still coming back to spend the night here and we will really celebrate then. But I can leave you with a parting gift for today. Let me tell you, LAUTECH fee is still the lowest in the Southwest.
โHaving said that, I will reduce your school fees across board, whether indigenes or non-indigenes, even for new students. There will be a reduction of 25 per cent across the board.โ
“My love for you knows no bounds” โ Mohammed Turad reiterates his love for wife, Hanan Buhari
Mohammed Turad Sha’aban, president Buhari’s daughter, Hanan’s husband has taken to social media to gush over her and reaffirm his love for her.
Mohammed Turad who is the special adviser to the present Minister of Works & Housing and former Lagos state governor, Babatunde Raji Fashola, took to his official Instagram page to share photos of his beautiful wife from their prewedding shoot.
Sharing the beautiful photo, he wrote, “My love for you knows no bounds.”
Hanan also reposted the photo on her Insta-stories and captioned it, “Baby am”.
The couple got married in an elaborate wedding in September 2020. Their wedding was tagged โThe First Weddingโ, being the first wedding to ever hold inside the Aso Villa.

Meabwhile, Hanan’s husband, Turad is the son of a former lawmaker, Alhaji Mahmud Sani Shaโaban, who represented Zaria in the House of Representatives from May 2003 till May 2007.
Turad was conferred with the traditional title of Wakilin Tudun Wada, Sabon Gari Local Government Area of Kaduna State in April last year.

Social media commentator, Reno Omokri has reacted after Twitter deleted President Buhari’s tweet where he stated that he’d pay people causing havoc in the country in their own coin.
The tweet sparked outrage on social media as netizens averred that the president was threatening to unleash war on the East because he made reference to the 1966 civil war.
One of the tweet reads,
“Many of those misbehaving today are too young to be aware of the destruction and loss of lives that occurred during the Nigerian Civil War. Those of us in the fields for 30 months, who went through the war, will treat them in the language they understand.”
Following the social media frenzy, Twitter deleted the tweet from the platform because it was in violation with their rules.
Reacting to this, Reno took to Twitter to commend the social media platform for taking the tweet down but begged them to also delete his Twitter account.
“I commend @Twitter for deleting @MBuhari โs tweet threatening Civil War 2 on Nigeriaโs SE. It was a most irresponsible tweet and Nigerians are grateful to
@Jack for talking that action. But please do not stop there. Delete his account. Buhari is a menace to the world”

20-year-old Ijaw woman emerges overall best student in US university
A 20-year-old Nigerian lady, Alaba Ann Tam Danagogo has emerged the 2021 overall best scholar at the Syracuse University in New York, USA.
Alaba an indigene of River state is graduating with distinctions in Biology Major and Minor in English and Textual Studies, among other academic accomplishments.
The young lady was also awarded the prestigious 1870 scholarship by the university for another four-year Medical Studies.
The universityโs Dean of the School of Arts and Science, Prof. Karin Ruhlandt, said among Alabaโs academic accomplishments are the Deans List Honors, Distinction in Biology and the highest recognised 1870 Syracuse University scholarship offered by the Office of Admission of the university.
She was the valedictorian for her graduating set and was selected as a Senior Class Marshall of the university.
Alaba was also recognized as a Distinguished Syracuse University Scholar, having graduated summa cum laude with a 3.97 CGPA in a four-point system.
Receiving her valedictory award, Alaba stated that although the journey was not an easy one, she had always promised herself to remain the best regardless.
In her words,
“The journey was tough but I made the promise to myself to do my best and make my time at Syracuse University special for me.
“I hope to gain the necessary scientific skills to care for those in need and also bring my thoughts to bear through literature and creative writing.”
In his remarks, posted on the universityโs website, U.S President Joe Biden, who is also an alumni of the institution charged the universityโs 2021 graduating class to remain resilient and purposeful to positively change the trajectory of their world.

Nollywood actress, Beverly Osu has advised people to stop chasing unnecessary clout on social media as it would only increase their stress levels.
In a lengthy post she shared on her Instastories, the 28-year-old movie star questioned why people in this generation are obsessed with chasing clout.
According to her, many people focus on making their external life beautiful for public commendation while their brain is dull and lack meaningful information.
The actress advised people to take a chill pill and stop having misplaced priorities because most people they are trying to impress don’t give a hoot about them.
She concluded by encouraging people to seek clarity from God because “direction is better than speed“.

UNILAG dismisses lecturers caught on camera demanding sex for grade in special BBC report
The University of Lagos has dismissed two of it’s lecturers who were involved in the sex for grade saga in 2019.
The two lecturers were, Dr. Boniface Igbeneghu and Dr. Samuel Omoniyi Oladipo were caught on camera demanding sex from a “student” in a special BBC report.
Recall that the lecturers, Dr. Boniface Igbeneghu of the Department of European Languages and Integration Studies, Faculty of Arts, and Dr. Samuel Omoniyi Oladipo of the Department of Economics, Faculty of Social Sciences were exposed by investigative journalist, Kiki Mordi in her award winning documentary, Sex for Grades, which ran on BBC Africa Eye in October 2019.
The duo were filmed demanding sex from Kiki, who posed as a minor seeking admission into the tertiary institution.
According to a news publication released by the school today June 2nd, the lecturers’ dismissal was approved by the Governing Council of the University on May 31 and took effect on the same day.

A Nigerian man has taken to Twitter to narrate how his ex-girlfriend broke his heart after he set up a business for her.
According to the man with Twitter handle @Ikhuoria__, he opened a POS business for his girlfriend since she was jobless, unknown to him that she was using the proceeds to sponsor another man to complete his university education.
The heartbroken man said he found out when she came to spend the weekend and he saw messages from the guy on her phone. He said girlfriend later revealed that the guy was her ex-boyfriend.
He tweeted,
“I was in a relationship with a girl back then. I opened a POS shop for her to handle since she didn’t have a job, while I have my own personal business i am running. I never knew this babe was using my money to sponsor a guy to complete his university education. I didn’t even know not until she came to my house to spend weekend. But as she was bathing, a message pop from her phone. I started to read the message. The guy was telling my babe that he need foodstuffs that she should send him money. When I asked her she told me the guy was her ex.

Nigerian Designer Ugo Monye Files Lawsuit Against Producers Of Coming 2 America For Replicating His Design
Nigerian designer, Ugo Monye has called out the producers of 2021 American comedy film, ‘Coming 2 America’ for replicating his design in the movie without authorisation.
According to the popular Nigerian designer, his registered โReale Designโ was reproduced and featured in the movie without his permission.
Ugo Monye has now taken to his official Instagram page to issue a commercial notice on the infringement.
The statement reads,
“COMMERCIAL NOTICE OF THE INFRINGEMENT OF THE REALE DESIGN OWNED BY UGO MONYE LIMITED IN THE MOVIE, COMING 2 AMERICA
โThe Reale Design has been registered at the Patents and Design registry in Nigeria.
โIt features a kimono and less bulky concept of the Nigerian agbada attire and was first showcased on November 19, 2017.โ
UML has sold a significant number of the Reale collection in various other countries and has showcased the same at various fashion weeks and runways.
โAll our brands and designs including (the Reale Design) and creations are protected by the Copyright Act, Trademark Act and other Nigerian penal laws and international treaties.
โIt has come to our attention that our registered Reale Design was reproduced and registered in the movie Coming to America 2 without UMLโs authorisation.”
It can be racalled that popular media personality, Ebuka, broke the internet in 2017 when he rocked the Ugo Monyeโs deconstructed โAgbadaโ design to Banky W and Adesua’s wedding.

Teju was allegedly owing the businesswoman and refused to pay so she decided to apply pressure on the case. The businesswoman stormed Teju’s home with some security operatives on Monday, June 1.
To further embarrass the popular slay mama, the woman went on Instagram live so her followers could also witness the confrontation.
It was alleged that Teju only had N48k in her bank account at that moment, so she had to call a friend of hers for help.
In the viral IG Live video, she could be seen trying to call someone on her phone but the person didn’t pick up the call.

Nigerian social media was thrown into a frenzy recently when some tweets by head of states, President Muhammadu Buhari where he stated he’ll pay people who are trying to ruin the works of his administration in their own coin, was interpreted as him planning to recreate scenes from the Nigerian civil war.
One of the tweets by the President reads,
Many of those misbehaving today are too young to be aware of the destruction and loss of lives that occurred during the Nigerian Civil War. Those of us in the fields for 30 months, who went through the war, will treat them in the language they understand.
While some netizens believe the President was only expressing his displeasure with the criminal activities and security breaches that’s been happening in the country lately and his plan to dissolve it, others are convinced that the head of states has an agenda against “Igbo” people and his recent statement is proof of that.
There were however speculations as to whether or not it was the president who made the controversial tweets but a video that’s been shared online shows the president saying the exact same words in the tweets.
