Abang Ogon, the Special Assistant to the Governor of Cross Rivers State on Student Affairs, has requested to resign from his position, following Ben Ayade’s defection from PDP to APC.

It was gathered that Abang wrote a resignation letter to the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), after Ayade announced his departure from the opposition party.

In the letter written in Pidgin English and addressed to the PDP ward chairman, Mbube-East ward II, Abang Ogon explained why he’s leaving the party.

He asked the ward chairman to open the secretariat so that he can pack the chairs he donated, because he bought them with the governor’s money.

The letter reads,

Narrating the traumatic experience, Lady Gaga revealed her abuser “dropped her off pregnant on a corner” following months of abuse.

“I realized that it was the same pain that I felt when the person who raped me dropped me off pregnant on a corner by my parents’ house because I was vomiting and sick ’cause I’d been being abused.

He locked me away in a studio for months. I had a total psychotic breakdown and for a couple years, I was not the same girl. Even if I have six brilliant months, all it takes is getting triggered once to feel bad. And when I say I feel bad, I mean thinking about dying. I learned all the ways to pull myself out of it.

I don’t tell this story for my own self-service, because, to be honest, it’s hard to tell. I feel a lot of shame about it. How do I explain to people that I have privilege, I’ve got money and power but I’m miserable?

I’m not saying my story because I want people to cry for me. I’m good, but to heal you have to open your heart up to somebody. I’ve been through it and I know people need help. So, that’s part of my healing, being able to talk to you. I don’t ever want to face that person again”, she added.

VP Osinbajo joined other Christian faithfuls to pray for Nigeria at the NAF Conference Centre in Abuja.

The meeting was organized for Christians to come together to pray for the nation and ask God for help in solving all the problems bedeviling the nation.

Man arrested for allegedly torturing his stepson with hot knife over N20 theft

The Edo State Police Command has arrested an Akwa Ibom man for allegedly assaulting his young step son for “stealing 20 naira”.

According to a neighbour, who spoke to activist and coordinator of human rights group, Talakwa Parliament, the suspect allegedly tortured the young boy, burned his body with a hot knife over claims that he stole N20 to buy groundnut and sugar to drink Garri.

It was gathered that the incident happened at Erediuwa Quarter off Sapele Road in Benin City, Edo state on Saturday, May 16th, and the suspect has now been arrested.

In other news, a 14-year-old girl whose father had the habit of inserting his fingers inside her genitals to check if she is still a virgin at their home in Enugu state, has been rescued and reunited with her mother.

Activist, Gwamnishu Emefiena Harrison, who shared the story online, said the young girl ran to his NGO, to confide in officials about what she had been going through.

The son of Hon.Kunle Bakare, a former SA on Environment to ex-governor of Ogun State, Senator Ibikunle Amosun, was reportedly killed in a gas explosion that rocked Conference Hotel, Abeokuta.

It was earlier reported that a technician and a yet-to-be identified persons were confirmed dead in a gas explosion that rocked Conference Hotel, Abeokuta, the Ogun State capital on Tuesday, May 18, 2021.

The young man who died alongside the Technician has now been identified as Olamide Jamiu Olamide, the son of Senator Ibikunle Amosun’s former aide.

The deceased was buried in Abeokuta Cemetery on Wednesday morning, May 19th, while friends, colleagues, party members have condoled with Hon. Bakare on the death of his son.

A Facebook user identified as Prince Adedapo David Oluwadamilare, wrote,

Nollywood actress, Ada Ameh has slammed controversial Nigerian singer, Naira Marley after he publicly spoke about his sexual fantasy.

Recall that, the Marlian president yesterday, shared with his followers, his aspiration of wanting to get down with a mother and daughter at the same time.

According to him, some day, he is going to have sex with a mother and daughter one day. He stated further that the mother should be aged under 40, while her daughter should be over 18.

Ada who was apparently irritated by the singer’s ‘naughty fantasy’ slammed him and accused him of using his page to promote things that aren’t positive.

She said she regrets the day she hugged him on the plane and called him the president of the Marlians because she liked him.

In a video shared on her Instagram page, a disappointed Ada revealed she unfollowed Naira on the photo sharing app because of his post.

In her words,

“I had to unfollow you mehn because you no get sense. You open your mouth say you wan sleep…

“Tell your mother that Ada Grace Ameh said, first of all, before you go sleep with mother and child, make your mama sleep with your papa brother. You no get sense. You be idiot. You be stupid boy.”

Young man acts ‘crazy’ after allegedly taking hard drugs in Anambra (Photos)

A young man is said to have been in an unhealthy stated of mind in Anambra State after he allegedly took unknown substances suspected to be hard drugs.

According to the Comrade George Moore, SA on New Media to the Chairman of Nnewi South Local Govt Area, the young man was seen running around and acting crazy around Aroma Junction in Awka, the state capital on Thursday May 20.

After searching his pocket, they found a lighter and another item which he supposedly used to ingest or smoke the drugs.

“Alert!! Alert!! Pls anyone who knows this young man should come to aroma. Onlookers says he’s name is Ikemefuna Ejidike. This items was found in his pocket. Obviously this one na drugs 3SayNotodrugs #Youths ” he wrote.

Another eyewitness who commented on the post said he saw the young man running on high speed as if he was chasing after a moving car.

A physically-challenged woman is joyous as she celebrates her academic achievement of bagging a degree despite her condition.

The lady identified as Christine Chama graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Development Studies with Sociology from the University of Zambia.

She took to her LinkedIn to share her achievement – she revealed that it has always been something she wanted to achieve and put in a lot of effort.

Christine shared photos of herself in her graduation gown and wrote,

“One of my dreams finally came true yesterday as I graduated from the University of Zambia with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Development Studies with Sociology.”

Netizens described her as inspirational and congratulated her. Her post has since gone viral with 750k reactions as social media.

A JSS 3 student identified as Nicholas Uyegher, who was allegedly killed by suspected Fulani herdsmen will be laid to rest on Thursday, May 27, in Benue state.

According to reports, the assailants killed Nicholas and his mother, Mnguzugwen Uyegher while his younger brother, Patrick managed to escape with injuries.

The incident occurred at Tse Adai in Mbagwen community, Makurdi Local Government Area of the state last month.

Nicholas’ classmates at Daddy Memorial College Yagba, North Bank, Makurdi, paid a condolence visit to his family today, Thursday, May 20.

REST IN PEACE NICHOLAS UYEGHER.

Today the JSS3 students of Daddy Memorial College paid a condolence visit to the family of Uyegher over the demise of their son Nicholas Uyegher who was killed alongside his mother Mnguzugwen Uyegher by Fualni Herdsmen at Tse Adai, Mbagwen, Makurdi LG on 18th April 2021.

Nicholas Uyegher until his murder was a JSS3 student of the college, he met his early death when he went to his farm along side his mother and his younger brother Patrick Uyegher who is also a JSS1 student of the college to check their crops so they can resume school on the 19th April, 2021.

The sad incidence took the life of Nicholas, his mother while Patrick Narrowly escaped after been hacked severally by the herders who left him with severe injuries thinking he was dead as you can see in the picture.

According to the father , the final wake comes up next week wednesday 26/05/2021 while the Burial take place on thursday 27/05/2021.

May the Almighty God console the family and grant the life of Nicholas and Mnguzugwen eternal rest as we continue to pray for the full recovery of Patrick in Jesus Name, Amen.
