Nkechi Blessing replies troll who said her trip to America was sponsored by a ‘sugar daddy’
Nollywood actress, Nkechi Blessing has replied an Instagram troll who said that her trip to America was bankrolled by a ‘sugar daddy’.
The troll made this assertion after Nkechi shared a photo of herself having breakfast on an airplane, and added New York as her geolocation.
She captioned the photo, “Na Everybody go Chop Breakfast…E Sure….Good Morning from this side”.
In reaction to the post, the troll commented, “Where Una dey see all these sugar daddies wey dey bankroll these trips?”
Nkechi Blessing didn’t allow the dust settle before she gave him a response. Apparently, her trip was sponsored by the movie producer of her latest movie “Amerah”.
She tagged the movie producer and called the troll a “foolish fool” for his comment.
She replied, “@akiti_sylvester his name is @officialolamilakside He resemble sugar daddy? Abeg check and come back …Foolish fool”

British High Commissioner to Nigeria, Catriona Laing, has noted that her country would have been struggling if they had only one of Nigeria’s problems.
Laing who said this in Port Harcourt on her maiden visit to Rivers State, advised that the ideal candidates for the 2023 Nigerian presidential elections should be youths with females as the Vice Presidential candidates.
Speaking further she revealed that the UK government would deny visas to Nigerians who incite violence and want to disrupt 2023 elections.
In her words,
“I do have some sympathy for Nigeria because if we as UK have one of these problems your country is having today, we will be struggling. Here, you deal with everything, from insurgency to kidnapping, to piracy off the Gulf of Guinea and you don’t have such a large army and police force for a country of this size.
“The only way you turn this thing around is that government has to build the trust of its people, to have the people working with the government to deal with criminality. That’s how successful anti-criminal operations work.
“People willingly report those committing crime, working with police to identify criminals, same with the military on the insurgency situation. It’s only when the community is on the side of the police and security services that they can turn around the situation.
“2023 is not alright. What happens in the elections is very crucial, not just for Nigeria, but Africa to the world. You (Nigeria) are a large democracy.
“It doesn’t have to be a perfect election. There would be problems, but we want it to be better than the last one. We want it to be secure, peaceful, the process should be run well, and you need to get people to register.
“My ideal candidates would be two younger presidential candidates, both with female vice presidential candidates.
“It is essential that there’s a peaceful election in Rivers State. It’s going to be a crucial part of his (Wike) legacy, how the election goes in this state. We’ve been saying the same thing to Amaechi.
“Another thing we will be doing is to remind people that if people do incite violence or act violently, we will be prepared to deny them visas to the UK. We will make that statement clear and say it over again.”

Suspected Yahoo boy declared wanted for allegedly defiling a 6-year-old girl in Delta
A suspected Yahoo boy, identified as Friday Billions, has been declared wanted for allegedly sexually molesting a 6-year-old girl in Delta state.
Friday reportedly defiled the little girl in Orhuvworun/Usiefrun community, Udu Local Government Area of the state and has been on the run ever since.
Human rights activist, Comrade Israel Joe, shared the report online on Tuesday, May 18.

A Nigerian lady who is based in the United States and works as a nurse, warmed the heart of her mother after she surprised her with a luxurious gift.
The lady identified as Nurse Becky on Instagram, bought her mother a Mercedes Benz car and also gifted her a huge amount of money. Becky shared a video on her Instagram page showing the adorable moment her mother took delivery of the car, a 2021 Mercedes GLE 350.
Her mother who was filled with joy after seeing her whip, became even more surprised after she opened the car door and a stack of dollar bills revealed to be $5,000 laid on the passenger’s seat.

Nigerian woman and her 16-year-old daughter allegedly murdered by male flatmate after botched rape attempt
A Nigerian woman and her 16-year-old daughter were allegedly murdered by a male flatmate who attempted to rape the young girl.
It was gathered that the 49-year-old mum identified as Nkechinyere Nnaama, came back home from school on Tuesday, March 30th, only to find the young man she shared her flat with, attempting to rape her daughter.
A Facebook user, Amaka Okeagu, who shared the unfortunate incident on the platform revealed that the suspect reportedly grabbed a hammer and hit the girl’s mother her on the head when she tried to alert the other neighbours.
He also turned to the minor he tried to rape and allegedly murdered her with the hammer before he fled the scene. He was later arrested and allegedly confessed to the crime.
Nkechinyere died on the way to the hospital while her daughter passed away a day later, March 31.
Mother and daughter will be laid to rest on Friday, June 4th, 2021, in their hometown, Umuonaga village Awka South Local Government Area of Anambra State.
47 year old Film director murdered by his Iranian parents in an ‘honour killing’ over not getting married
A popular film director has reportedly been murdered and dismembered by his family in an honour killing row for not getting married.
The London-based film maker, Babak Khorranmdin (47), was sedated and cut into pieces after he returned to Iran from London.
According to iranwire.com, his body parts were later discovered in a suitcase and bins outside his parents’ home in Iran on Sunday, May 16.
Khorranmdin’s father reportedly confessed to murdering his own son after he and his wife were arrested in Ekbatan, west Tehran.
His father reportedly said:
“Because of the disputes we had, I sedated him this morning (Sunday) by giving him anaesthetics, then stabbed him to death. Then I dismembered his body and threw it in the nearest trash can on the street with my wife.”
Tehran’s Police also found evidence of the murder while searching their home. Following the news, tributes have poured in from friends who knew Khorramdin’s work and studies in UK.
Khorramdin had relocated to London a year after completing his Masters from the Faculty of Fine Arts of the University of Tehran in 2009.
He had returned to Iran to teach an Art-related course to his country folks, before he met his unfortunate end.
According to Iran International TV, the honour killing “has shocked the country”.
Iran International TV Middle East Analyst and Editor Jason Brodsky said: “I think the horrific death of Babak Khorramdin is only the latest example of a long pattern of domestic violence that we have seen in Iran.
“It follows the tragic death of Ali Fazeli Monfared, who was killed by family members after they found out he was gay. That is not to mention the case last year of Romina Ashfrafi, a 14-year-old girl who was beheaded by her father in an honour killing.
“Despite a child protection law being passed in 2020 in Iran, honour killings and domestic violence continue more broadly, and this is an area the international community needs to address with Iran.”

A US TV hosts have given details of how a Senior Special Assistant to Governor of Ogun State, Dapo Abiodun and former House of Reps aspirant, Abidemi Rufai, was arrested for $350, 000 COVID19 unemployment scam.
It was earlier reported that Rufai aka Sandy Tang was arrested by the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) for allegedly defrauding the Washington Employment Security Department (ESD) of $350,000 during the COVID-19 pandemic.
The suspect allegedly bypassed security systems at ESD using a simple feature of Gmail which allows users to create many additional email addresses simply by adding one or more periods to the original email address.
The US TV hosts has now given more insight into Rufai’s arrest and also spoke with a man who believes he also fell for the scam the suspect is alleged to have committed.

Singer, Burna Boy confirms Governor Wike did not pay him N10m after Homecoming concert
Grammy award-winning Nigerian entertainer, Burna Boy has confirmed that contrary to what many believe, the Rivers state government did not pay him for the homecoming concert held in the state.
His mother, Bose Ogulu had earlier revealed this during an interview with Ebuka Obi-Uchendu on Rubbin Minds.
”The first thing about that event was that money was not paid. It was paid to everyone else but Burna. Everyone else who came to perform was paid, but him, because they were honouring him. He was not being paid to be there.
”It is only a bastard, my people say, that refuses honour in his father’s house,” she said.
Confirming what his mother said, Burna Boy explained that only artistes invited to perform received the N10m. However, it should be recalled that during the homecoming ceremony for Burna Boy, Gov. Wike promised to gift him a plot of land and N10m as appreciation for winning the Grammy Awards.
The artiste cleared the air while responding to a fan who tongue-lashed him for saying he does not make money from Nigeria.

Nollywood actress, Biola Fowosire is currently heartbroken as some robbers broke into her shop and carted away all her goods for the second time in a row.

According to her, she is yet to recover fully from the loss of the first robbery which occured last year. She said she worked extremely hard and even took a loan to rent and stock up the shop this time around before the robbers raided her again.

Nigerian medical doctor and health blogger, Aproko Doctor has taken a swipe at online vendors who sell green tea for weight loss.
According to the Doctor who is popular for his relatable medical advices on Twitter, these weigh loss products don’t work, as there’s no better way to lose weight rather than a proper diet and regular exercise.
He averred that the people selling weight loss tea knows it’s a scam, and they don’t even use their products.
Speaking further he also took a swipe at those selling penis enlargement products and labeled them as scammers.
Taking to his Twitter account, he wrote,

“We offered to help but he refused” – UNIOSUN reacts to death of student in an accident while trying to sort out his missing result
The management of Osun State University (UNIOSUN) has reacted to the death of one of its student, Busari Ayomide Kamali, who passed away after sustaining injuries in an accident.
The 25-year-old student had the accident on 29 of April this year, while in school to sort out his missing result. He died on Sunday, May 16.
The institution’s spokesperson, Ademola Adesoji, while conveying the management’s condolence to the deceased family in a press release, disclosed that Busari Ayomide Kamali was a spillover student of the department of Economics Education in the College of Education of the university until the announcement of his untimely death.
“He was rushed to a trado-medical clinic on that same day and the university management was notified of the incident on Tuesday, 4th of May. On that same Tuesday, the University management visited the trado-medical clinic and advised that the student should be moved to the university teaching hospital with immediate effect.
The student declined and said he will contact his family first and will get back to the management on their decision. On Wednesday, 5th of May, 2021, the University health officials visited with an ambulance with the hope that he will be moved to the University teaching hospital that same day but he insisted to be treated there.
The Students’ Affairs Unit and some student representatives too were advised to persuade him to go to the university teaching hospital as all the expenses will be borne by the University. After series of persuasion without any positive result, he was later requested to write and sign an undertaking that he is the one that insisted that he should not be moved to an orthodox hospital to be treated which he did.
The University health centre and some college representatives had been visiting the hospital to check his recovery but unfortunately on Sunday, 16th of May, he was reported dead and was moved to Ibadan for burial.”
Two die, three injured as explosion rocks Hotel in Ogun
A technician and a yet-to-be identified persons have been confirmed dead in a gas explosion that rocked Conference Hotel, Abeokuta, the Ogun State capital.
The explosion occurred around noon on Tuesday, May 18, 2021, resulting in the death of a technician and another yet-to-be-identified person.
Three others were left with varying degrees of injuries. They are receiving treatment in a hospital.
Confirming the sad incident, the hotel’s facility manager, Engr. Tunde Osinubi, said ; “A routine maintenance of the automatic revolving door at the entrance of hotel reception, which involved the use of oxyacetylene gas to weld the door hinges, was being carried out.
“The Oxyacetylene gas cylinder suddenly exploded, killing the technician and one other person yet to be identified.
“Three other people were injured and were immediately taken to the hospital. They are responding to treatment.
“So far no sabotage is suspected. It is however suspected that the gas cylinder purchased at the open market may be fake and unable to withstand gas pressure.
“The incidence of Gas explosions as a result of fake cylinders being sold has become worrisome and of great concern as similar incidents have been reported in several locations in Abeokuta recently with casualties.
“The management of the hotel sympathizes with the families and friends of the deceased and wishes to warn the general public of the presence of fake gas cylinders in the market.
“This incidence is however greatly regretted.”

Earlier on Tuesday, Ogudu shared a cryptic message disclosing that she has done her best to be a responsible mother and it is left for her son to share her own story.
