A shocking video has emerged capturing the moment when a passenger physically assaulted a pilot after learning about a 13-hour flight delay.

The incident took place on an IndiGo flight traveling from Delhi to Goa, India, on Sunday, January 14.

The delay was caused by poor visibility due to the weather conditions in the region.

As the  pilot Anup Kumar announced the situation, a passenger identified as Sahil Kataria became enraged.

In the Video, the furious passenger, wearing a yellow hoodie, charges up the aisle and slaps the pilot, causing onlookers to react with shock.

He demands that the pilot either fly the plane or open the door.

A flight attendant intervenes, and another passenger in a sky-blue hoodie grabs Kataria and escorts him back to his seat.

The flight attendant, visibly upset, scolds the passenger for his actions, and inappropriate behavior.

In a separate clip, he is seen being escorted off the aircraft by armed guards.

He later apologizes to Kumar on camera.

Both the pilot and the airline have filed police reports against him, leading to his arrest by the Delhi police.

Viewers of the video swiftly condemned the passenger’s assault on the crew member, emphasizing that frustration does not justify physical violence.

However, some also criticized IndiGo for allegedly mishandling the situation, and for their poor communication regarding the delay.
