The Anambra State Police Command has arrested a woman who allegedly stabbed her lesbian partner’s husband to death in Onitsha, Anambra State.

The deceased, identified as Ikechukwu Onuma, who was a staff member of the College of Health, Onitsha, is said to have walked in on his wife making out with her female lover in their residence along Ogboli road, Onitsha, on Tuesday, August 9.

Onuma reportedly came home unannounced on Tuesday night to find his wife in bed with another woman. Unknown to him, his wife, Nkemdilim, whom he has married since 2019, is a lesbian and had been keeping a female sex partner.

The suspect is said to have quickly attacked the man with a kitchen knife, stabbing him to death in a bid to silence him.

Confirming the incident to reporters, the spokesperson of the Anambra state Police command, DSP Toochukwu Ikenga, revealed that the suspect has been arrested.

“We have a suspect in custody and the Commissioner of Police, CP Echeng Echeng, has ordered the immediate transfer of the case to the State CID for proper investigation. Preliminary information shows that the suspect stabbed the victim in the chest. He was rushed to the hospital before he was confirmed dead by the doctor on duty.” He said.
