A distressed man, Sunday Enejo has refused to allow his wife to divorce him because he wants her to first admit that she has been unfaithful.
He requested a Jikwoyi Customary Court in Abuja to refuse to dissolve their marriage until she vows before the holistic god “Aniku” that she was not unfaithful to him.
An entrepreneur, Rose claimed that Enejo was a violent guy who frequently abused her at home.
Enejo, who stood before Justice Labaran Gusau, asserted that he would only let her go after she had sworn to allay his suspicions.
He told the court; “I will not grant my wife divorce until she follows me to the village to swear before “Aniku” that she is not having an extramarital affair.”
According to NAN, the issue was postponed until April 4, 2023.
In other news, a Nigerian man, identified as Joshua Kesena, revealed the lengths he goes to avoid temptations that would lead him to cheat on his wife.
Joshua revealed on Twitter that he used pictures of his wife and children as the wallpaper on all his gadgets to constantly remind him of what is at stake if he cheats.
He also revealed that his wife has access to his email, social media accounts, and phone, so he can’t cheat in private.
Joshua, who cited the various measures he put in place to avoid committing adultery, stated that men who want to be faithful to their wives must be extra-cautious.
