The tailor behind Super Eagles’ World Cup outfit, Esimaje Awani, CEO of GT Stitches, has called out the NFF over failure to pay for the outfit since the World Cup Competition ended.

The tailor behind Super Eagles’ World Cup outfit who took to Instagram to call out NFF, said Football Association’s President, Amaju Pinnick stopped picking his call and someone at the NFF office told him that the court is his only option.

He wrote on Instagram;

NFF refused to pay for ceremonial outfit almost one year after World Cup!! This can only happen in Nigeria. My brother Amaju has stopped picking my calls cos of money. Someone at the office told me the court is my only option. What a shame.

Pls let NFF come and say their part. I have not been paid period. Some persons might not be patient as I was on the subject matter

Recall that weeks after the Super Eagles World Cup kits made a splash among football fans worldwide, the team’s travel gear to the mundial in Russia also turned heads. The green and white coloured outfit, which features a chest-covering embroidered eagle alongside matching hats and shoes, was put together by Esimaje Awani. NAN reports that Awani’s identity was revealed by a social commentator Freedom Atsepoyi aka ‘Mr Jollof’.
