WWE superstar and actor, John Cena has married his girlfriend Shay Shariatzadeh in a private ceremony in Tampa, Florida on October 12.
The couple tied the knot months after making their relationship public. While Cena is yet to make it public, local media including TMZ and Cydney Contreras of E! Online have confirmed the wedding.
Cena and Shay Shariatzadeh have been in a relationship since early 2019 after the actor’s split from his ex-fiance and WWE wrestler, Nikki Bella.
He and Bella dated for about 6 years but they broke up because Cena didn’t want children and Nikki wanted to start a family at the time.
Marriage rumours between Cena and Shariatzadeh started in February when she was spotted wearing a ring after being seen at a park in San Diego.
Cena and Shariatzadeh reportedly got engaged and applied for a marriage certificate in Florida earlier this month.
Shariatzadeh was born in Iran, but is now a Canadian citizen. It was gathered that Shariatzadeh received her bachelor’s degree from the University of British Columbia in electrical and electronics engineering last April and now works as a product manager at Aviglon, a Motorola Solutions Company.
This is Cena’s second wedding as he was previously married to Elizabeth Huberdeau from 2009 to 2012.
