Nigeria has been agog with news of the Ooni of Ife’s marriage to Wuraola Zaynab Otiti Obanor.

The wedding which took place a week ago has been the latest talk in town. The Ooni, Oba Enitan Ogunwusi, paid a bride price of N25 for his Benin native queen in absentia, making her the second Olori.

Olori is a Yoruba word for Princess Consort. Ayaba is the Yoruba word for Queen Consort. Although, Olori (also spelled “Oloori”) is more commonly used.

A lot is known about the Ooni’s first wife, Olori Adebukola Ogunwusi.

But the second Olori, Wuraola Ogunwusi is a total mystery. Here are the things we know about Wuraola Ogunwusi so far:

1. Her Edo name is Itohan.
