In newest reports, there are indications that popular Nigerian commercial bank, Access Bank has reportedly acquired also popular bank, Diamond Bank.
A report by TheCable earlier today, Sunday the 16th, revealed that the acquisition was midwifed by the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) in a bid to further consolidate the banking industry, and official announcement of the transaction will be made in the course of the week by the apex bank.
