Popular social media feminist, Mercedes Ekwutosim Okwukogu, has tied the knot with her heartthrob, Eric Uchenna Chimara.
The lady, who is well-known for pushing feminism on Facebook, over the weekend shared a photo of herself kneeling for her spouse during their traditional wedding.
Sharing the photo, she wrote, ”Chaii!!! My feminism in the mud!!!!”

The news of Mercedes Ekwutosim Okwukogu’s marriage elicited diverse emotions, with many people being taken aback because they couldn’t have guessed she was in a relationship.

This comes after Facebook Feminist, Nkechi Bianze had a low-key wedding in her hometown to seal her union with her lover.
Nkechi confirmed the news as she took to her Facebook page to share photos and wrote ;
“Yesterday, the 17th of July 2021, all roads led to Owa (Agbor) Delta State as family and friends joined the Love of my Life and I as we got married. He is from Mbaise, Imo State.
No bride price was paid. And I did NOT kneel down to give him drink. We BOTH STOOD up to drink. The Traditional Wedding was done according to the custom and traditions of my people, and we edited bits to suit us.”
