The invitation of Nigerian singer, Portable, to perform at the Nigerian Bar Association’s conference party in Abuja has sparked mixed reactions.
Portable, who is known for his eccentric and controversial lifestyle, showed up shirtless at the party and delivered an electrifying performance at the event.
As expected, the Zazu star performed his hit songs in an energetic way and even climbed a scaffolding set up inside the conference venue, while dancing.
This has sparked mixed reactions on social media, with many questioning the NBA’s choice to invite Portable as their guest musician.
While some applauded the organizers for the choice, others opined that Portable is not suitable for the conference of ‘learned fellows’.
Some others argued that someone like Falz, who is a lawyer himself, would have been a more ideal guest artiste.

The way Nigerians celebrates mediocrity is the reason why an high ranking association like the “NBA” would invite a public nuisance like Portable to come perform in an event of high caliber intellectuals. The event planners are also useless

They invited Portable who behaves like a wild dog and does 10 times of anything Ifunnaya does to their national conference and paid him 10m to perform but they are persecuting this innocent girl for just living her life. The NBA is full of patriarchs who hate women and it shows pic.twitter.com/cGPwjuRqiU

The planning committee happened. What happened to Bez, Cobhams, Falz etc? What business does NBA have with Portable? https://t.co/B1lxcGc2XR

The show organizer that invited Portable to come and perform at the NBA conference should be arrested, not everything is a joke.

We spent 5 years in university to study Law and spent 1 year in law school and even spent another 1 year for NYSC only to invite Portable (Were Olorin) to come perform for lawyers at NBA conference🙁
