A businesswoman has taken to social media to cry out after she claimed she was robbed of 10 million naira from her Ajo contribution.
According to the story, the lady had been contributing money to a certain coordinator, whom she also tagged in the video. And when it got to her own turn to receive the sum of 10M naira, the coordinator began to stall. Following this outcry, netizens stormed the coordinator’s Instagram account and sought answers in her comment section. But this later became a dead end after the coordinator locked her comment section due to numerous comments.
In the video, the lady in question had expressed how ashamed she was of herself for finding herself in such a situation. It was her first time doing Ajo, and if she was saving up the money for something trivial as a vacation, it wouldn’t have affected her so much. But the Ajo was an intentional strategy to help support her business grow. She said the money might not seem like a lot to some people but what she would have been able to achieve with it would have made a great difference.
The issue is yet to be resolved as the second party aforementioned is yet to response to the said allegation. Many Instagram users sympathized with her, while others discouraged her from referring to the money as “small”, and insisted that even if it was a single kobo, she should see that her hard earned money be returned to her.
