A Nigerian lady found herself facing an unexpected financial commitment after her younger brother reminded her of a promise she made to him before his West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE).
In a video shared online, the lady had apparently promised to give her brother ₦50,000 for every A he scored in his WAEC examination.
The young man eventually checked his result and excitedly informed his sister that it was out. He went on to remind her of the promise, telling her that he had scored six A grades.
However, the result was even more impressive, with the student recording seven A1s and two B2s across his nine subjects.
His grades included A1s in Geography, Civic Education, English Language, General Mathematics, Biology, Chemistry, and Technical Drawing, while he recorded B2s in Physics and Livestock Farming.
After congratulating him, the lady appeared surprised by his performance and asked how he managed to score so many A1s, admitting that she had expected him to get fewer.
The conversation quickly returned to the real issue as her brother reminded her about the money, asking her to send it to his account. However, the lady insisted on paying him for 3As after praising his effort.
