In a surprising turn of events, a lady has come online with the story of how an abroad returnee almost ruin3d her life.
She shared that she met the man when she was younger and living in a rural barracks. He had returned from a certain Asian country and indicated interest in settling down with her. She, on the other hand, was trying to escape the shackles of poverty for a better life, so she accepted his proposal. He met her mother and took her to his apartment, which she later discovered belonged to his sister’s husband. She had hoped that they would get married, and that she would finish her school and relocate with him abroad.
But she noticed that he didn’t travel back as he had promised. After a year, he told her that his paper had expired and he was renewing his visa. All the while, he tried to convince her to sleep with him, but she insisted that they wait until they were married. She would ask him for money for school fees and rent, and he would give her excuses as to why he wouldn’t be able to. Because of her demands he ghosted her, and she decided to focus on her life.
Fast forward to 8 years after, he is still in the rural area where they had met and in her comment sections calling her “my love” and asking for her birthday photos so he could post. She then realized it was because she was looking and doing better than he knew her. She concluded with the importance of succeeding in life, so people who saw you less would regard you.
