Veteran Nollywood actor, Richard Mofe-Damijo, popularly known as RMD, has replied critics who attacked his wedding anniversary post.
The thespian and his wife, Jumobi, recently celebrated their 21st wedding anniversary, and he took to social media to appreciate her for her love and the sacrifices she made to build their home.
RMD in the appreciation post revealed his wife gave up fame to build their family and the revelation sparked debate on social media. While some netizens applauded her others criticized her decision.
Reacting to this, in a video he shared on his official Instagram page, the actor explained that Jumobi only gave up fame but still has a successful career and runs a successful business.
According to him, giving up fame was a decision his wife made on her own even before they got married.
“My wife had her mind made up before we got married that she didn’t want to be in the pubic eye and that she needed timeout to raise our family. It was a decision she reached on her own”, he wrote.
