Former Minister of Aviation, Femi Fani-Kayode, has said any leader that remains silent and refuses to publicly condemn the gruesome murder of the female Sokoto student who was killed over alleged blasphemy is a coward.

The politician stated this while reacting to the gruesome murder of Deborah Samuel, a student at the Shehu Shagari College of Education, Sokoto, on Thursday, May 12.

Deborah was stoned, beaten and burnt to death by an irate mob for allegedly blaspheming Prophet Muhammad (S.A.W) in a voice note that was sent to her class group chat.

Taking to his Instagram page, FFK insisted that any leader that remains silent and fails to publicly condemn the horrific murder is a coward.

In his words,

“Any so-called leader that remains silent and refuses to publicly condemn the murd*r of Deborah is a C*WARD. I don’t care who or what you are: if you cannot bring yourself to condemn this cold-blo*ded and horrific murd*r then you are nothing but a C*WARD and I have contempt for you.”

Meanwhile, the police on Thursday have confirmed that at least two persons have been arrested over the killing of the female student of Shehu Shagari College of Education.

The police vowed that the suspects in the viral video on Twitter were spotted and will be nailed soon, according to a statement signed by police spokesperson in Sokoto, Sanusi Abubakar.

According to Mr. Abubakar, the school has been shut down and additional police personnel deployed to the area.

  1. After condemning what next? It will still happen tomorrow and continue to happen because we have all refused to learn and tell ourselves the Truth.
