Cristiano Ronaldo’s partner, Georgina Rodriguez, has faced heavy criticism for seemingly disrespecting the Portuguese footballer’s mother, Dolores Aveiro.
The said incident occurred during the 13th birthday celebration of the footballer’s son, Cristiano Ronaldo Jnr, at his Madrid residence.
It was gathered that the five-time Ballon d’Or winner was unable to attend the event due to national team duties in Iceland.
His mother, Dolores Aveiro, however, attended the event with her partner Jose Andrade, but they chose to stay at La Finca, a 5-star hotel in Madrid, rather than at her son’s house with the rest of their family.
Following the event, Georgina took to her Instagram page to share photos from the party but did not include her partner’s mother in any of them.
Doleres, however, shared a video of the party on her Instagram account on June 22.

In response to the video, some commentators on the Portuguese talk show Noite das Estrelas rebuked Georgina for sitting while Doleres stood.
One of the commentators Maya said, “What strikes me the most is that while Georgina is sitting with the children, Dolores Aveiro remains standing, far away, it doesn’t look pretty to me, this.”
Daniel Nascimento, another commentator, said, “What I’m saying is that it’s not Georgina who has to get up… It was those boys who had to get up.”
However, Maya replied:
“If Georgina was a diligent daughter-in-law, Dolores would be in her rightful place! (…) It is a lack of respect!”

It was also alleged that Ronaldo’s mother couldn’t spend much time with her grandson on his 13th birthday because Georgina invited a lot of her friends.
“She barely saw her grandson. They were able to share moments on his birthday. Dolores was with all her grandchildren, but I must be honest: there is not a pretty relationship between them,” Leo Caeiro, a journalist from the Portuguese network CMTV claimed.
