Popular Nigerian singer, David Adeleke professionally known as Davido, has surpassed his colleagues in the African music scene to become the most followed artiste on social media.
It is apparent that the ‘Jowo’ crooner is loved by many in Nigeria and globally, not just for his hit music, but his free spirit which is evident in his social media interactions.
Just recently, the self acclaimed ‘omo baba olowo’ hit 19 million followers on popular photo and video sharing platform, Instagram.
This number tops both Wizkid and Burna Boy’s numbers combined, with Wizkid having about 11 million followers while Burna Boy is standing at 6 million followers, as at the time of filing this report.
However, Wizkid and Burna Boy’s following on social media has in no way affected their huge fanbase across social media platforms.

The father-of-three took to his social media page to share a 10-second clip where he claimed he’s gone crazy over some issues in the past year.
