It’s more honorable recognition for OBO as the singer’s 2013 hit song ‘Skelewu‘ made a debut on one of the world’s biggest movie platforms ever: Disney.
The news was shared yesterday by the excited singer who revealed that the smash hit single was one of the featured songs in Queen of Katwe, the new movie featuring Oscar Award-winning actress, Lupita Nyong’o and foreign based Nigerian actor, David Oyelowo.
The movie tells the story of a Ugandan chess champion, Phiona Mutesi, who discovered chess when she was nine years old scavenging for food in the Katwe slum districts of Kampala. She later becomes a Woman Candidate Master after her performances at World Chess Olympiads.
