A dramatic scene unfolded between a commercial driver and an alleged Air Force officer who refused to pay ₦500 transport fare because he works for the government.
A video posted by an onlooker, @lashandbrowby_aj, revealed that the Air Force officer boarded the public bus from Sango to Abeokuta.
When the bus conductor requested his fee, he said he would pay at his bus stop.
In a twist, the alleged officer refused to pay, leading to an argument in which the driver began hurling insults at him.
The driver was angry and started speaking broken English and Yoruba simultaneously.
Even though he was an Air Force officer, the driver questioned what section of the Nigerian constitution stated that an Air Force officer shouldn’t pay for transport fare.
He questioned whether the Air Force officer could eat at a restaurant without paying.
Despite the driver’s rage, the alleged officer was nonchalant and scrolled through his phone as other motorists gathered to settle their dispute.
