Nigerian event compere, Michael Olagunju, better known as MC Fish, has seemingly responded to popular actress and singer, Angela Okorie, after she accused his wife, Anita Joseph, of infidelity.
It will be recalled that Angela recently accused Anita of sleeping with a native doctor for fame. She also shared a purported chat between herself and a woman who claimed to be pimped out to men by Anita.
However, Anita Joseph has not responded to the allegations levied against her as of the time of writing this story.
In response to her silence, Angela rebuked her and implied that her refusal to speak is an indication of guilt.
Amid the controversy, Anita’s husband, MC Fish shared a cryptic post on his Instastory, stating that the accuser should prove the accusation beyond reasonable doubt before expecting a rebuttal from the accused.
Speaking further, he urged the accuser to keep quiet if they don’t have enough evidence to back up their allegation.
Though he did not explicitly mention Angela Okorie’s name, netizens have speculated that he was referring to her.
He wrote,
“If someone comes out to accuse another, he/ she has to provide proof.
The burden of proof lies on the accuser, not the accused. You must proof beyond reasonable doubt that the accused is guilty. That’s why Peter Obi took a container load of evidence to court.
Stop asking people to defend unproven allegations. If the accuser doesn’t provide irrefutable evidence, just ignore and move on.
“XYZ did so and so”.
No wahala, drop evidence. If you don’t have evidence, keep quiet”
