Wunmi, the widow of the late Nigerian singer Mohbad, is celebrating her birthday today, April 29, and has requested that the day be dedicated to her deceased husband, not herself.
In a post shared on her Instastory, Wunmi stated that this is the first time in a long while that she is celebrating her birthday without Mohbad, whom she described as her best friend, confidant, and gossip partner.
The grieving widow, however, noted that the late singer gave her a gift of himself through their son, Liam, whom she will love and cherish for the rest of her life. She further urged the singer’s fans to celebrate and pray for him on her birthday.
She also shared lovely pictures capturing some of the sweet moments she shared with the deceased singer before his untimely passing in September 2023, and expressed how much she misses him.
Wunmi wrote,
“THIS IS THE FIRST TIME IN MANY YEARS THAT I’LL BE CELEBRATING MY BIRTHDAY
WITHOUT MY HUSBAND
PROMISE! HE WAS NOT JUST MY HUSBAND, BUT ALSO MY BEST FRIEND, CONFIDANT, GIST PATNER AND MORE. TODAY, ALL I WANT FOR MY BIRTHDAY IS FOR HIS FANS ACROSS THE WORLD TO CELEBRATE THE LIFE HE LIVED.
I BEG YOU ALL TO SAY A PRAYER FOR THE SPIRIT OF ILERIOLUWA! WHETHER YOU CHOOSE TO PRAY SILENTLY IN YOUR HEART OR POST HIS PICTURE ON YOUR PROFILE. I ASK THAT YOU SINCERELY PRAY FOR THE SOUL OF ILERIOLUWA.
