Hollywood classic actress, Halle Berry has sent a powerful message to every women who have suffered any form of domestic violence – the actress, being a victim herself, revealed she was just 5 years old when she witnessed the horrific abuse of her mother by the man she was married to.
Her mom was beaten “day after day after day,” Berry said. She watched her get “kicked down stairs” and hit in the head with a wine bottle when she wasn’t looking.
“Knowing that she wanted nothing more then for her little girls to see her be empowered and be a woman of strength, but having no way to make that happen was heartbreaking for me,” Berry said.
To show support for women in that plight, Berry wrote on her IG page this morning:

Too smart, too beautiful, too strong. Too much of something. That makes a man feel like less of a man, which will start making you feel like you have to be less of a woman.
The biggest mistake you can make is removing jewels from your crown to make it easier for a man to carry.
