A 24-year-old man takes to social media to weepily recall his genuine girlfriend following a recent heartbreak.
“We met the most beautiful people in secondary school…people who loved us for who we were and not what we could offer”, he tearfully said. Adding that he’s crying because he has been thinking about his love life. And he happened to remember a certain beautiful, intelligent, tall, and kind girl he dated when he was in Secondary School. According to him, he wasn’t the best in school then (had torn clothes and played around), but she loved him for who he was. He claimed she was everything a man needed in a woman, but they met at a time they were young, when he knew nothing about love and life – “if it was now I would definitely put a ring on your finger”. He reflected on moments she would intentionally avoid being picked up by her dad just so they could walk home. He hoped she is fine wherever she is, because it has been ages, and he misses her. And just in case this video of his gets to her, she should know that he is no longer a boy.
He compared her memory with what relationships are now. How people love you because of what you can offer and not for who you are. He explained that he is in tears because he recently he met a girl whom he sacrificed all he could for. But despite that, she betrayed him. “We met the most purest of people in school”, he concluded.
