Mixed reactions have trailed the video of a Nigerian woman warning her son-in-law not to ever lay his hands on her daughter during their wedding.
In the trending video, the doting mother issued a stern warning to the groom not to ever beat her daughter as she was giving her away to him.
The woman emphasized that her daughter is a treasure and well loved at home, and everyone will miss her as she leaves for his house.
She further told the groom that she loves him as her son-in-law, but he would see her “other side” if he ever physically assaults her daughter.

Interestingly, the video has sparked an outrage amongst some men on social media, who were triggered by the way the woman spoke to her son-in-law.
Some asserted that they would have called off the wedding if their mother-in-law speaks to them in that manner because it shows she doesn’t respect them.
