A Nigerian lady rocks traditional attire on her graduation day at a public university abroad, highlighting that her ‘Iro and Buba‘ attire was too elegant to hide under a gown.
In the clip, the lady @yorubademoness noted that Nigerians don’t take the least position as she showcases the attitude of a typical Nigerian woman from the Yoruba tribe.
As a foreign student graduating from a prestigious public university abroad, she felt compelled to honor her culture through dance and dress.
Wearing a pink iro and buba with matching headgear and a graduation stole around her neck, she performed indigenous dance moves after accepting her degree to showcase her excitement on the stage.
Despite being overseas, she subconsciously knelt to receive a handshake from a school administrator while walking down the stage.
Below are some comments,
@Heyzee The outfit wasn’t the strongest indicator u were Yoruba. It’s the hand shake😂😂
@Ms_Truth_Seeker Congratulations! No gown? First time seeing a graduate not in a gown.
@Reemah✨ It’s the kneeling during the handshake for me. A Yoruba babe through and through. Congratulations!💕💕
