A Nigerian clergyman and his wife are in a celebratory mood as they welcome their first child after 35 years of waiting.
The cleric, Rev. Jacob Kabra of the Christian Reformed Church Nigeria CRC-N RCC in Takum, Taraba State, and his wife Mary Jacob Kabra, have been married for over three decades and had been trying to conceive.
According to family and church members who shared the good news on Facebook on Sunday, April 23, 2023, the couple got married on April 9, 1988, at CRC-N Lufu in Takum Local Government Area of Taraba State.
They finally welcomed their first child on March 31, 2023 after 35 years of marriage.
“THANKSGIVING AND NAMING CEREMONY. The Rev. Dr. Jacob M. I Kabra Chairman CRC-N RCC Takum who got married on the 9th April, 1988 at CRC-N Lufu of Takum LGA, Taraba State, welcomed their first fruit on 31st March, 2023,” he wrote.
“By the grace of God, the programme is scheduled as follows: Thank you Jesus for this mighty miracle, after a period of 35yrs of marriage you still make it possible.” One Paul G. Musa wrote on Facebook.
“If you doubt the faithfulness of God, he is not wicked to foget your labor of love. This is the testament of what he is doing now, Those of you trusting God for same blessing, he is your neighborhood! Yours is next”, another user wrote.
