The tallest man in Nigeria, Afeez Agoro Oladimeji, has reportedly passed away at the age of 48 after suffering a prolonged ailment.
Afeez, who stood at 7 feet 4 inches (2.24m), was the second tallest human in West Africa before his tragic passing on Wednesday evening June 14, after a long battle with Acromegaly, known commonly as gigantism.
He had reportedly been bedridden for months due to chronic hip arthritis, and developed severe complications last night.
The UNILAG graduate, who studied Computer Science, was rushed to Lagos University Teaching Hospital for urgent treatment, but he sadly passed away around 7:30pm.
May his soul rest in peace!
You will recall that Davido’s 3-year-old son and his partner, Chioma, drowned at his Banana Island mansion in October 2022.
During a recent interview with Omega, Davido revealed that he still sheds tears whenever he remembers his son’s death.
He noted that many people expected his latest album, ‘Timeless,’ to have a somber theme due to the loss of his son. However, he chose to focus on creating energetic and lively tracks instead.
