Popular Nollywood actor Uche Maduagwu has claimed to have received a N3 million offer to accuse the bereaved wife of the late singer Mohbad, Omowunmi, of being responsible for his death.
He made this revelation in a video, where he described being approached to spread a rumor that the woman had a hand in her husband’s death. His task was to convince the woman to conduct a DNA test on Mohbad’s child.
Maduagwu claims that someone approached him and offered him N3 million in exchange for spreading the rumor that Mohbad’s wife was responsible for the singer’s passing and engaged in paternity fraud.
However, the actor stated that he promptly declined the tempting offer because he neither had a personal connection with the late singer nor had the authority to make such demands or accusations.
He also mentioned that the same individual who intended to give him 3 million naira might have enlisted other social media influencers to disseminate the false information that Mohbad’s wife was a prime suspect and required a DNA test.
