A video showing the moment a security guard used a cane to keep the crowd in check at a Nigerian concert has sparked outrage online.
The bouncer was captured wielding a cane while trying to control the crowd and prevent them for knocking over the barricade.
The video has however sparked mixed reactions online as netizens condemned the bouncer for treating the fun-seekers like animals.
@ifynnama wrote, “This is why I don’t go to all these concerts, the disrespect is too much, upon all the standing you’ll do waiting for someone who’s resting waiting for 3am to come out in a show that is meant to start 11pm….. Till I get money for VIP tickets, make una hold una shows for now…”
@promiseuchechi wrote, “If they try this in church, they’ll come out to condemn pastors. Always quick to judge churches”
@childbodysafetyng wrote, “Because we are used to handling human beings like animals in Nigeria or Africa.. Even parents to their children believe cane will correct our senses. 😂”
@charles_nkeduo wrote, “It’s because majority of these Nigerians cannot follow simple instructions so they must be treated like 🙈”
@the_avril 18 wrote, “Okochiri beach carnival is free,it’s not paid for, although the cane is for crowd control but it’s quite embarrassing 😂”
