A married woman has narrated how her husband butchered her arm and leg because he suspected her of cheating on him.
In a lengthy Facebook post, the woman identified as Roselyne Victory O’Neill, alleged that her husband attacked her and even attempted to stab her on her chest over cheating claims.
According to her, they got married in 2018, and has caught her husband with other women many times on their matrimonial bed, but forgave him each time.
Speaking further she claimed that into the marriage, she discovered he has tested HIV positive since 2017 yet concealed the information from her.
Subsequently, she took herself and their baby boy for HIV test, forgave her husband, and remained in the marriage.
Narrating the sad incident, she noted that on 27th of Dec 2020, her husband attacked her at her store in Cultural Centre Field, Calabar, after she couldn’t find a cab home the night before and decided to sleep in her store.
On that fateful day she woke to shouts from her husband calling her a “prostitute” and other names, she said that before she could defend herself, he brought out something she thought was a belt and aimed it at her chest. She blocked with her arm and that’s when she discovered it was not a belt but a knife.
He struck her arm three times before people in the field attempted to stop him, angered that he could not stab her on her chest, she said he then started stabbing her leg.
She lost consciousness and was then rushed to the hospital where she underwent 3 surgeries, her arm became infected due to the knife used to inflict the injury and had to be amputated.

A video of veteran Nollywood actor, Baba Ijesha allegedly confessing to defiling a 14-year-old girl since she was seven has been shared online.
In the eight minute long video that was shared on social media by Nollywood actress, Iyabo Ojo, the actor while being asked why he defiled the young girl, he admitted to being wrong and pleaded for forgiveness.
Ever since news of the allegation went viral on social media, it has stirred controversy and Baba Ijesha even made it to the Twitter trend table.
In the now viral video which captured his alleged confession, Baba Ijesha blamed spiritual problem for his action while noting that what he did is very bad.
In his words,
“I know what I did is very bad, its very bad to molest her..I know but please I’m pleading.. Princess you don’t deserve it”
When asked what his aim was for defiling the young girl, he said, “There’s no aim, the devil just wants to destroy my life.. When there’s a problem…”

Lagos State Government Denies withholding N25m donation to viral amputee
The Lagos state Commissioner for Information and Strategy, Gbenga Omotoso, has denied media reports that the state government has seized the money donated to viral amputee hawker, Mary Daniel.
A report by the Nation alleged that the state government withheld Mary’s money after finding out the single mother “lied” about her condition.
Nigerians took to social media on Wednesday night April 28 to demand that the state government release the funds to the lady.
PM News reports that during an interview with Staf FM today April 29, Omotoso said that the government had no plans to deny Daniel of her N25 million donation.
According to him, what the government did was to ensure that she was not molested and safe to do whatever she intended to do with the money raised for her.
According to Omotoso, Mary is free to set up her dream supermarket store in Lagos State since it was in the state that fortune smiled on her.

Recall that yesterday, Davido via Twitter attacked actor, Yomi Fabiyi, for defending Baba Ijesha who was arrested for allegedly raping a minor.
This came after Yomi Fabiyi shared a lengthy post on Instagram where he told his colleagues not to jump into conclusion on the rape case.
According to him, even though he doesn’t support evil or crime against women and children, he will always use his sense and conscience to judge every matter.
In reaction to Yomi’s post, international music star, Davido, also lent his voice to the rape case and blasted Yomi Fabiyi for indirectly defending the alleged rapist with his Instagram post.

“The police told me that the CCTV footage is not an evidence of rape” – Actor, Yomi Fabiyi reveals what transpired between him and Baba Ijesha at Panti Prison (video)
Nollywood actor, Yomi Fabiyi has continued to publicly take side with his colleague, Baba Ijesha despite backlash he has received from netizens over the alleged rape sage.
In a recent interview with Goldmyne TV, Yomi recounted what transpired between him and Baba Ijesha at Panti Prison, where the accused is currently being held on allegation of raping a minor.
According to him the police told him that the CCTV footage is not an evidence of rape, while emphasizing that Baba Ijesha also denied raping the minor.
Yomi said all along he thought there’s a footage of the actor having sex with the girl, until the police officer told him that the actor was caught with the girl in the living room after which he apologized when asked what he was doing with her.
According to him, the police officer also said that if that amounts to rape he doesn’t know.
Recounting how fellow actor, Baba Suwe was exonerated after being accused of trafficking drugs, Yomi stated that all he did was tell people to calm down and allow the law to take its due course, but his opinion was criticized instead.

Nollywood thespian, Iyabo Ojo has vowed to resist any attempt to release embattled actor, Baba Ijesha who was recently apprehended for allegedly molesting the foster daughter of comedienne, Princess, some years back.
In a video shared on Wednesday, April 28, Princess narrated how the actor allegedly molested the victim. She also revealed that the actor was “caught on CCTV attempting to molest her again.”
Nollywood actress, Iyabo Ojo who has been quite vocal since the emergence of the case, has vowed to resist any attempt to release the accused actor.
It was earlier reported that a police source in an interview with Punch stated that there is an order to release the actor as the courts are currently on strike and it would be against his fundamental human rights to continue keeping him in custody without trial.
The police source went on to add that the CCTV showed that the actor did not defile the victim — according to the source, it is a case of indecent assault and not sexual harassment, and it is open to bail.
Reacting to this development, Iyabo in a video posted on her IG page, said,
“This live video is for the people in charge of this case. We are going to say no to molestation and yes I stand to use one of my own as a scape goat. If they release Baba Ijesha, we are going to re-arrest him and this will no longer be a state thing, it will now become Federal.”

“How does a heart break twice?” – Chimamanda Adichie mourns as she shares how her mum died 8 months after her dad
Renowned author, Chimamanda Adichie has returned to social media nearly two months after her mum’s death to give a touching tribute.
Chimamanda lost her 78-year-old mum, Grace Ifeoma Adichie, on March 1, 2021. Mrs Adichie’s death occurred on her late husband’s posthumous 89th birthday. She died 8 months after her husband, Prof. James Adichie, who passed on after a brief illness in June of 2020.
Since her mother’s death, Chimamanda has been off social media — she returned on April 28 to give a tribute to her mother. The Half of a Yellow Sun author shared photos of her and her mother, including one she took with her mother on her wedding day.

Giving the narrative of how her mother died, Chimamanda revealed that Mrs Adichie, who was the first ever female registrar of the Univeristy of Nigeria and also a permanent board member at Anambra State Basic Education Board (ASUBEB), had gone to work at ASUBEB in Awka on Friday, Feb 26, but her assistant said she looked a bit tired.
From work, she went to Church for the Stations of the Cross since it was Lent and on Saturday, Feb 27, she spent time in a shop outside their house, watching the cars and people pass by.
On Sunday, Feb 28, she went for Mass, but by Sunday evening, she felt unwell and was taken to a private hospital. Chimamanda said she spoke with her mother that night and told her they all love her.
The next morning, being Monday, on her late husband’s posthumous birthday, the doctor sent an update that she was feeling better. Moments later, he suddenly decided to transfer her to the Teaching Hospital since they have better facilities.
“Two hours after she arrived at the Teaching Hospital, she died,” Chimamanda wrote.
Chimamada said they were planning for the ceremony to officially mark the end of the formal mourning period for her father and she cannot believe that they are now planning another funeral.

“CCTV never showed Baba Ijesha defiling the victim. He may be released on Friday” – Police source says
In a new development, there’s been indications that embattled Nollywood actor, Olanrewaju Omiyinka, known better as Baba Ijesha, who was recently arrested over allegations of molesting a minor, may be released on bail from custody on Friday, April 30.
According to a police source who spoke with Punch, the ongoing strike action by members of the Judicial Staff Union of Nigeria has prevented courts in the state from sitting and has prevented the police from arraigning the suspect. The police source said Baba Ijesha could not be detained indefinitely without trial.
The source went on to add that investigation into the case shows the actor did not defile the victim, adding that when she was questioned, the victim confirmed the same.
The senior police officer said,
“There was no case of defilement, people are just talking out of sentiment. They are not talking from the point of law. We interviewed all parties involved in the case for three hours today (Wednesday).
The mother complained that her child was at the age of seven when she was defiled and the child pointed at Baba Ijesha. But the case was not reported until she was 14 years and under the law, the case has become statute-barred.
Regarding this new case, the CCTV footage has been assessed and nowhere was it captured that Baba Ijesha defiled her. The footage only showed him touching the victim’s body but it never showed him having any sexual intercourse with the girl. The girl also confirmed the same thing.
So, in law, it is a case of indecent assault and not sexual harassment, and it is open to bail. So, can we continue to keep him when the offence is subject to bail and when there is no court sitting? That is against his fundamental human rights and the police do not work on sentiments. Directives have been given out for his release on bail.”
The source, however, stated that despite granting Omiyinka bail, an investigation would continue, adding that the command had also sought legal opinion from the state Ministry of Justice.
“A test was recently done on the victim and it was discovered that she had penetration. Is it the penetration of seven years that is still evident now, and who penetrated her then? Is there any medical report linking the man (Omiyinka) to the crime?
The CCTV footage never showed Baba Ijesha defiling her, but he confessed to touching her body indecently and apologised, and the girl confirmed the same.
Investigation is still ongoing and we have instructed them to conduct a medical examination on the victim at a government recognised medical facility. We are not specialists in the field and we have also sought legal opinion from the Ministry of Justice.” the police source said

“Stand by what is right” – Actor, Yomi Fabiyi says following backlash he’s received for sympathizing with alleged child molester, Baba Ijesha

Controversial Nigerian gay chef, Ayo, has taken to social media to give the sad narrative of how he was repeatedly raped by his paternal uncle.
According to the chef, he lost both his parents at a tender age and was forced to live with his uncle who subjected him to repeated sexual abuse. Ayo revealed that his uncle usually gave him fruit juice to drink which he believes was laced with sedatives before having sex with him.

Drama as Abuja side chic allegedly heats oil and pours it on married lover (Video)
The video of a said side chic being confronted after she allegedly bathed her married lover with hot oil in Abuja has gone viral online.
As can be seen in the video, the married man is topless, showing the damage done to his skin — he suffered severe burns on the skin on his back, stomach, with some parts peeling already.
Residents around the area can be heard confronting the said side chic, who makes sure to hide her face from the camera.
They can be heard saying this isn’t the first time the young woman has tried to harm her married lover. He reportedly escaped alive the first time before she made another attempt on his life.
In this recent case, the man reportedly called on the side chic to visit, which she did. After they had spent some time together, the man went into the bathroom while the side chic allegedly went into the kitchen to heat up oil.
She waited for him and just as he exited from the bathroom, she bathed him with the hot oil. The side chic reportedly claimed the married man is in the habit of raping her whenever she visits him, hence the attack.

Claims by Mary Daniel, the Oshodi amputee hawker that she lost a leg in an accident that killed all passengers, including her parents when she was a teenager, have been discovered as false, The Nation learnt on Wednesday evening.
Daniel became a sensation weeks ago after pictures of her selling water at Oshodi emerged on social media and attracted sympathy from Nigerians across the world.
Daniel, in an interview, claimed she was an orphan with a baby and an aged grandmother to fend for.
She narrated how life dealt her several blows and she had to drop out of school and hit the streets to make ends meet.
Following her harrowing tales, Nigerians started donating money through her bank account made public with about N25m raised.
This prompted the state government to immediately shelter her to prevent criminals from taking advantage of her sudden fortune.
Just few days ago, a celebrity birthday party was held in her honour featuring many cakes, fanfare, photoshoots, among others.
All was going well for the young lady until the state government discovered on Thursday her father was alive.
It was also detected she was amputated from birth.
It was gathered Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu immediately handed her over to officials of the social welfare for investigation following revelations her case was staged.
Daniel, it was gathered, was receiving strange calls from those who staged her story with threats to reveal the truth unless she gave them their share of the money.
It was learnt Sanwo-Olu handed her over to officials of welfare in the presence of the police and some Kogi leaders, who attested her father was alive.
Commissioner of Police Hakeem Odumosu told The Nation the young woman was in the custody of officials of the Social Welfare and not the police as earlier reported.
“The police were there but she was not handed over to us. She was handed over to the Social Welfare. There were irregularities and lies in the account of her life she gave.
“It was discovered that contrary to her claim that her parents died during an accident that left her amputated, it was discovered that her father is very much alive and that she was amputated from birth.
“It was also discovered that her presence in Oshodi was staged. Those working with her played on the intelligence of Nigerians to get donations for her.
” It came to light when the people started threatening her. She promised some N500,000 others different amounts and was planning to return to her home state when the information leaked.
“I had to attach some policemen to her to prevent any attack on her when she went to the bank. We suspected those people might follow her but everything went well as they were not seen.
“Presently, the state government is preventing her from accessing the money.
“The government does not want a situation where it will become a trend for people to cook up stories, manipulate the people to get donations,” Odumosu explained.

Abducted Greenfield University student, Dorothy Yohanna, who was killed by her abductors has been buried
The remains of Dorothy Yohanna, one of the abducted students of Greenfield University Kaduna, has been laid to rest today April 28.
Dorothy and an unspecified number of students were abducted by the bandits on April 20.
On Friday, April 23, the state government announced it had recovered the bodies of Dorothy and two other students.
On Monday, April 26, the state government also announced it had discovered the remains of two more abducted students of the University.
Dorothy’s body was laid to rest today April 28. May her soul rest in peace, Amen.

The troll, identified as Michael Ezeagu, was slammed by netizens for his statement. However, in his defense, he said the marriages of Nigerian celebrities doesn’t last anymore and in a matter of time, Nigerians will hear news about Mabel and AY’s divorce.
Apparently, Mabel saw the conversation and also reacted to it. She expressed extreme disappointment that a matured man would say such a thing.
She wrote, “It’s really unfortunate that you can utter such from your mouth. May God help you.”

Nollywood actor, Yomi Fabiyi and actress, Iyabo Ojo are currently dragging each other to filth on social media over Baba Ijesha’s alleged rape saga.
It all started after Yomi Fabiyi shared a post asking his colleagues not to jump into conclusions, and went on to demand evidence, even after the police revealed in a statement that Baba Ijesha confessed to the crime and was caught on CCTV.
In response, Iyabo Ojo released a video warning her colleagues against taking sides with the veteran actor, and urged the public to cut down the rate at which the news is going viral.
However, Yomi stood his ground and accused his colleagues of being in the habit of kicking a man when he’s down. He also called out the mother of two, accusing her of shading him in her posts.
This again angered the actress and she shared another video on her official Instagram page, this time dragging him to pieces.
She shared screenshots of Yomi’s posts where he tagged her and captioned it, “@realyomifabiyi is like you are mad”.
Yomi then took to his Instagram Live to hit back at Iyabo.
In response, Iyabo also took to Instagram Live to blast Yomi. She called him “mad” amid other unflattering words.

Replying to his tweet, the successful actress encouraged the fan to remain hardworking and consistent while she noted that she also had the same mindset before until things changed for the better.

Popular singer, David Adeleke aka Davido, has attacked actor, Yomi Fabiyi, for defending Baba Ijesha who was arrested for allegedly raping a minor.
Days after news of the allegation went viral on social media, Yomi Fabiyi shared a lengthy post on Instagram where he told his colleagues not to jump into conclusion on the rape case.
According to him, even though he doesn’t support evil or crime against women and children, he will always use his sense and conscience to judge every matter.
He also told his colleagues to focus on the bigger picture, which is the mental health of the victim, instead of engaging in needless drama of distraction on social media.

However, following the revelation of comedienne Princess that the rape victim is a child that was under her care, there has been fresh outrage about the matter on social media. Some celebrities also waded in on the issue and slammed anyone in support of Baba Ijesha.
International music star, Davido, has also lent his voice to the rape case as he lambastes Yomi Fabiyi for indirectly defending the alleged rapist with his Instagram post. He used a line from lyric of his song, but he removed the word “shoot” from his tweet.

A video serving rounds online has captured the moment a beautiful lady proposed to her boyfriend in a fancy restaurant.
The lady took her lover to an expensive restaurant, defied status quo and proposed marriage to him.
It was gathered that the lady arranged the surprise proposal with the staff of the restaurant. They brought a covered plate which the man believed contained food, but as he opened it he saw the words, ”Will You Marry Me” written neatly in it.
In the viral video the lady is seen kneeling down and offering her man the ring while the crowd behind her cheer and beckon the man to accept his proposal.
The boyfriend appeared shocked as he remained in his seat laughing and clapping before standing up.
He later stretched out his finger as his girlfriend put the ring in his finger as onlookers jubilated.
