It was an embarrassing moment for Inkosi Xolile Ndevu, a member of the South Africa’s National House of Traditional Leaders, after his wife accidentally appeared stark naked during a virtual parliamentary meeting.
The body of the 23 traditional leaders in South Africa, recently held a virtual meeting of Parliamentās portfolio committee on co-operative governance and traditional affairs. However, Inkosi Ndevu whose wife didn’t know he was in a virtual meeting appeared stark naked behind him.
He was busy explaining how the Eastern Cape province was working with medical doctors on the matter of initiate deaths, when his wife walked into the room stark naked, oblivious that she was appearing on national television.
The portfolio committee chairwoman, Faith Muthambi, immediately reprimanded Ndevu saying this had happened before.
In her words,

In a recent report, a water vendor was beaten to death and his corpse set on fire by religious extremists in Sade village, Darazo Local Government Area of Bauchi state over alleged blasphemy.
According to the Nigerian Tribune, the deceased, identified as Talle Mai Ruwa, said to be ‘mentally unstable,’ was seized by a mob from a police Station in the village where he was being detained for allegedly blaspheming Prophet Muhammad, and lynched on Tuesday afternoon, March 30.
According to the report, the irate mob beat him to death, dragged his lifeless body around the village before setting it on fire.
A source in the village who spoke to Nigerian Tribune in Bauchi said that the late Talle who was hardworking and easy-going allegedly made the blasphemy on Monday March 29, when a girl came to fetch water from his water source, a borehole, without his consent.
The source narrated that the girl pleaded with the angry vendor in the name of God and the Prophet to allow her to fetch the water but he allegedly insulted her parents and the Prophet.
His alleged blasphemous remarks triggered outburst and tension in the village such that the village head took him to the police outpost station in the village where he spent the night.
“The next morning (Tuesday), the issue spread everywhere and everyone in the village was provoked. Later, a group of angry youths stormed the police station, subdued the police officers around and grabbed Talle. He was beaten to death and his dead body was set ablaze” the source said.
Another source said that the irate youths dragged him to the front of his compound where his aged mother helplessly watched his body being set ablaze and burnt to ashes.

Nollywood actor and philanthropist, Williams Uchemba has shared his opinion about those who believe rumours about a person without waiting to hear their side of the story.
In a video shared on his IG page, Williams opined that anyone who does such has been hating on the person and looking for a tangible reason to back their hatred.

A former Nigerian beauty queen and doctorate student has been shot dead while sitting in her car in front of her family’s home in Philadelphia.
24-year-old Najeebat Sule, who was known to her loved ones as Najee, was killed as she was texting a friend in her Toyota shortly before 6pm on March 12, just steps away from her residence in the 8800 block of Frankford Avenue.
At the moment, police have not found a motive and have made no arrests, leaving Najeebat’s family and friends searching for answers. They have also gone into hiding for fear of their own lives.
“I canāt think of anything that would make anyone want to kill her,” Najeebat’s close friend Habibat Magaji, told the Philadelphia Inquirer.
Magaji was among the last people to have seen Najeebat alive before she was shot. The two women had spent the night before at Magaji’s home, eating snacks and watching Netflix together.
Less than 24 hours later, Najeebat was sitting in her gray Toyota Corolla, exchanging text messages with Magaji, when an unidentified man walked up to the vehicle with a gun drawn and shot her several times.
Najeebat’s father, Adewale Sule, heard the gunfire and came out from the house just in time to see the suspect fire the last of the shots at his daughter.
Mr Sule said: “I saw the guy shooting my daughter. He shot the last round and I pursued him. He ran back to his car.”
Najeet was rushed to Jefferson Torresdale Hospital, where she was pronounced dead about 30 minutes later.
Her mother, Tawakalitu Sule, said she last heard from Najeebat less than two hours before the shooting, when her daughter asked her when she was going to be home.
“All of my children have been crying every day because of their big sister. They really miss her. I miss my daughter,” she said.
Najeet is survived by her parents and two sisters.
“She was very talented, smart and funny,” one of her siblings told 6abc.
The family are currently staying at an undisclosed location over unspecified concerns for their safety. Sule and her family moved to Philadelphia from Nigeria in the early 2000s.
Sule had only recently earned a Masterās degree in public health from West Chester University and was pursuing a doctorate.
In 2019, she was crowned a second runner-up at the Miss Nigeria International pageant.
The pageant organisers wrote on Facebook following her death,
“Queen Najibat was an amazing young lady whose presence at the Miss Nigerian beauty pageant left a great ripple that continues to resonate. She was a breath of fresh air and her presence added a distinct touch that made the event memorable. The Office of Communications in the United Kingdom (Ofcom), has sanctioned religious channel, Loveworld, owned by popular Nigerian pastor, Chris Oyakhilome.
The UK’s communications regulator reportedly fined the channel the sum of Ā£125,000 approximately N65.6m, over COVID-19 sermon disseminated on the channel.
Ofcom in a statement stated that the station was fined for breaching the countryās broadcasting code by disseminating misinformation on COVID-19.
The statement reads,
āToday we have fined Loveworld Ā£125,000 for this breach of the broadcasting code. This was the second time in a year that the broadcaster breached our rules on accuracy in news and harm in its coverage of the coronavirus.
On December 1 2020, Loveworld aired a 29-hour programme called the Global Day of Prayer, during which claims were made about the COVID-19″.
According to the agency, these claims included the notion that the outbreak was āplannedā, that the āsinisterā vaccine can be used to implant ānanochipsā that can control and cause harm to members of the public and the debunked theory that the virus was somehow caused by 5G.
The statement further read,
“Ofcom stresses that legitimate debate about theāÆofficialāÆresponseāÆto the coronavirus pandemicāÆis fundamental to holding public authorities to account during a global health crisisāÆ-āÆparticularly when public freedoms areāÆcurtailedāÆand complex policy decisions are beingāÆtaken.
āHowever, the inaccurate and potentially harmful claimsāÆmade during thisāÆprogrammeāÆwere unsupported by any factual evidenceāÆandāÆwentāÆentirelyāÆwithoutāÆchallenge. Ofcom was particularly concerned that this breach followed previous, similar breaches in 2020 during the investigation of which, Loveworld Limited gave Ofcom a number of assurances as to how it would improve its compliance procedures.ā
This is coming after the popular Nigerian preacher criticized other Pastors who are advising their members to take the COVID-19 Vaccine.
Pastor Chris said God made them healers and hinted that the vaccine is not needed because when one believes in Christ, there will be power in their mouths.
Bashir El-Rufai, son of Kaduna state governor, has taken to social media to gush about his wife, Halima Nwakaego Kazaure, while stating that she is the greatest thing that has happened in his life.
In a post shared on Twitter, Bashir expressed how glad he is to be married to someone who is a lot smarter than he is. Though it is not their wedding anniversary or his wife’s birthday, Bashir penned the lovely message to celebrate his wife’s contribution to his life.
He tweeted,
“My wife is the greatest thing that has happened in my life. Everyday I’m glad I married somebody a lot smarter than I am, upon all my big head. Men may not say it enough, but our women optimize our focus & many times they never get the positive outcomes of the focus provided.”
