Nigerian men cry as they’re brutalized by soldiers and civilians in India (Video)

A video that’s made its way to the internet shows some Nigerian men crying out in pain as they were being brutally assaulted by soldiers and civilians in India.

A Twitter user who shared the video revealed that the brutality is suspected to be in relation to Nigerians staging a protest days ago after a Nigerian man was killed while being questioned by the police.

The Twitter user revealed that his girlfriend lives in Vikaspuri, the area where Nigerians were rounded up and brutalised. He went on to add that a warning had been sent out over the weekend, asking all Nigerians in the area to flee.

Those who stayed back were forced out of their homes and were beaten by soldiers and civilians.

“What did we do now? We did not do anything,” one of the Nigerian men is heard saying as they are beaten with batons.

Nigerian radio personality, Toolz, has advised women to hire domestic helps to ease them of the stress that comes with having to do household chores alone.

According to the mother of two, women should not overwork themselves with household chores as it doesn’t prove their dignity or worth. Adding that no woman has ever won a trophy for suffering the most.

She gave this advise in reaction to a post that urged women to outsource chores to domestic staff if they can afford it.

Toolz who advised women on the importance of getting a help however, said they should learn how to do these chores in case the helps start acting up.

In her words,

“Suffering is not a badge of honour. Get a cook, cleaner, etc. But by all means know how to do all they do yourself in case they start acting mad”.

The mother of two’s advise to women has however stirred mixed reactions online.

The former Lagos state Governor made this submission at the 12th colloquium held for his 69th birthday celebration in Kano State on Monday, March 29.

Tinibu emphasized that Nigeria is under-policed to combat the increasing rate of banditry and robbery in the nation.

He went on to proffer a solution to the nagging problem. According to him, the government should enlist 50 million Nigerian youths into the military. He added that the recruits will eat cassava, corn and yam grown in the country.

He said;

“We are under-policed and we are competing with armed robbers and bandits to recruit from the youths who are unemployed —33 per cent unemployed?

“Recruit 50 million youths into the army, what they will eat —cassava, corn, yam, we grow here.

“Don’t talk about illiteracy, anybody who can hold a gun, who can handle a gun, who can cock and shoot is technically competent to repair a tractor in the farm.”

Thief trapped in hole in church wall after he broke in to steal (video)

An alleged thief who burgled a church building has been nabbed, after he got trapped in a hole he followed to gain access to the building.

The suspect identified as Agyasuo reportedly burgled a Catholic Church building in Techimantia, Tano South, Ghana.

It was learnt that the the suspect created a hole inside the ground floor of the locked storey building using a chisel and hammer but unfortunately got trapped in the hole.

Residents saw him making the hole but chose to wait and watch. After making the hole, he climbed in and stole some money from the church. He is also said to have stolen mobile devices.

He however couldn’t sneak back out and residents alerted the caretaker of the building after he had been there for a while.

The caretaker opened the door and found the suspect trapped inside the hole. As he begged to be let out, residents collected the offering money he stole.

He was also reportedly caught with a bag containing packed phones, computer and accessories he had gathered from the church.

Viral photos has captured the moment Borno State governor, Babagana Zulum stopped his convoy to help some women who were gathering firewood by the roadside.

It was gathered that the governor and his aides were moving to Monguno, the capital of the Local Government Area of Borno State when they spotted the woman and some young girls standing by the road side.

On reaching the women, Governor Zulum stopped the convoy, approached the woman and offered to help. The governor gave the women and their firewood a lift back to Monguno.

A Twitter user, @MrOdanz has taken to the platform to narrate how a wealthy neighbour bought a church building, and kicked out all its members over noise pollution.

According to MrOdan, the church was in the habit of disturbing the vicinity with noise. All efforts to keep the church members in order failed until a wealthy neighbour purchased the building and evicted the members.

Narrating the event on the micro-blogging platform, he tweeted

“There used to be a church located somewhere across my street that torment residents with noise/prayers. The man living on the other side of their fence bought their property last month and evicted them. This was after several efforts to get them to reduce their noise. God is good.”

Veteran Nigerian Actress, Patience Ozokwor has revealed that she got married at an early age and although it was a horrible experience at first, she had to endure so as to please her father who loved her so much.

On the decision to get married at quite an early age, the thespian said ;

I come a from a polygamous family where my mother’s mate, the daughter gets married and my mother too wants her own daughter to get married.

So the one that presented himself then, i wasn’t allowed to wait for LOVE, so i was forced into marriage.

When the presenter asked how being married at such a young age was for her, Patience Ozokwor said ;

It was horrible, our own time was a time where you don’t have a say in who you get married to.

Your parents can arrange a marriage and once they have done that, you are in for it.

When you are trying to please your parents, you stay in your marriage and manage it. IN my family you don’t come back from a marriage and another reason i endured was because of my children.

Nigerian man and his girlfriend arrested for cocaine possession in Thailand

A 36-year-old Nigerian man identified as Michael “Mark” Ikenna, and his Thai girlfriend have both been arrested and charged with allegedly possessing and selling cocaine in Banglamung, Thailand.

Region 2 Narcotic Suppression officers received a tip-off from a concerned citizen that the suspects were allegedly selling cocaine in the Pattaya and Bangkok area.

The officers captured Ikenna, and Nantana Chiewpanitch, 25, in a sting operation conducted by an undercover police who arranged to purchase 10 grams of cocaine in Takhiantia on Friday, March 26.

Ikenna was arrested outside his Takhiantia house and 9.8g of white powder seized from him. Police found Nantana Chiewpanitch inside the house but she denied involvement with drug dealing, saying she has only known Ikenna for a few months and worked in a call center in Bangkok.

Investigators then searched their apartment in Bangkok where they recovered nearly a gram of cocaine and hundreds of plastic bags police said were used to package drugs for sale in Bangkok, the East and Central regions.

Police said the Nigerian claimed he was an exporter of dried dory fish to his home country. Police countered it was a shell company used to launder his drug money.

They were taken to the Banglamung Police Station to face charges of illegal possession of Category 2 drugs (cocaine) with intent to sell.

Singer, Peter Okoye of the defunct music group, P-Square, for the umpteenth time has urged “heartbroken fans” asking that he and his brother, Paul reunites, to move on.

This is coming after a fan of the duo took to Twitter to state that he refuses to stream Peter’s new album until he gets back with his brother, and start making music as a group again.

“I’m not streaming any shit not until you bring back your brother”. The fan tweeted.

In reaction Peter shared a screenshot of the fan’s tweet on Instagram and in a lengthy post urged the fan and others hoping that the brothers would get back together, to move on.

In his words,

”Let me say it again! This individuals are not haters they are just P2 heart broken fans and i understand. Only PALOMA and JUST LIKE THAT dem don dey shake Dey shiver! I will still wish dem well this weekend! Sha I have forgiven them! it’s over 4yrs now! pls you people should move on. No come get High BP for person matter”.
