You have a sweet talking voice and it comes out in your singing voice but your performance is terrible. You are never going to make money being a singer. For songwriting, hit me up, we could talk but that singing, it is not going to work. Sorry Darling” she said

Quite a number of people —Christians particularly— on social media, have taken to the comment section of popular celebrity stylist and fashion entrepreneur, Toyin Lawani to air their displeasure over a racy Nun outfit she donned to a movie premiere recently.
On Sunday March 28th, Nigerian actress and movie producer, Toyin Abraham, premiered her latest movie, The Prophetess and had a theme for guests to dress like church workers.
The celebrity stylist chose to dress as a Nun — however, her nun outfit was nothing compared to what an actual nun will wear as hers had high slits that stemmed up to her privates.
A handful of her Christian followers felt offended by her fashion statement and expressed their displeasure. According to them, she wouldn’t dare make this fashion statement using a Hijab.
Toyin responded to some of the comments as well… See more photos of her outfit, and reactions below,

Quite a number of netizens trooped to the comment section of Billionaire wife and Nollywood actress, Regina Daniels to place a comment or two over a supposed purchase of aphrodisiacs from Nigerian sex therapist, Jaruma.
Regina took to her Instagram page to share a video of herself taking delivery of Jaruma’s products which was delivered by Jaruma herself — according to Regina, she’d been buzzing Jaruma for over two months for the products not until recently before she tended to her.
The aphrodisiacs popularly referred to as “Kayanmata”, which she ordered includes a waist bead and love chocolate worth ten thousand dollars.
In the video that was shared, Jaruma takes payment for her products from Regina in cash — Regina’s purchase of Jaruma’s Kayanmata products comes amid rumours that her billionaire husband, Ned Nwoko is planning to take a 7th wife.
The video she uploaded had her followers buzzing in the comment section, with some of them of the notion that she didn’t actually “purchase the items” but is just running an advert for Jaruma.
Others were of the notion that the actress is purchasing the products so as to curtail her man from having a seventh wife.
Nigerian Minister of Transportation, Mr. Rotimi Amaechi has stated that women are far more intelligent than men.
The former Governor of Rivers state revealed this while talking at the second edition of the Association of Nigerian Women Business Network (ANWBN) in Abuja.
In a statement released by his Special Assistant on Media Taiye Elebiyo-Edeni, Mr. Amaechi noted that women are capable of holding positions of authority in the society other than the mere 35 per cent affirmative action policy.
Amaechi said,
“I do not support male domination, neither do I support female domination. I believe that all of you seated here are qualified to rule this nation, I don’t believe that a particular seat should be set aside for a woman, reason is that, women are by far more intelligent than men.
“The Deputy Secretary- General of the United Nations, Amina Muhammed was selected not because she was a woman but because she performed excellently well in her previous position.
“When ‘I am invited to a function and women are gathered dancing, I just wonder why women should be dancing at a function; women should be taking more serious ly than dancing at a function. “When you get to the table, assert your authority as somebody who is brilliant, who is intelligent to get what others are getting.
“Don’t tell me you are on the table and should be given a position because you are a woman, don’t ask that any seat should be set aside for you, ask for your right, it is your right. Women in politics stay for meetings till 2am. So if your husband allow you to join politics, he should be ready to support you.
“Any woman I have ever given appointment merited it, but you are also a problem unto yourselves. If appointment is given to a woman, a fellow woman will start saying the man is dating the woman and that she did not get the appointment because she merited it, which is one of the reasons I stopped.”
A Facebook livestream captured the moment an Oklahoma prison officer was held hostage by prison inmates before one of them (inmates) got shot dead by police officers.
The hostage situation unfolded on Saturday evening at the Oklahoma County Jail and stopped after police officers shot and killed an inmate who took a correctional officer hostage.
Shortly after 4 p.m, a correctional officer was overrun by at least one inmate during pill pass and taken hostage. According to Greg Williams, the administrator for the Oklahoma County Jail Trust, the inmate took the officer’s radio and keys and released many of the other inmates on the 10th-floor pod.
In the livestream which took place on the Facebook page of the prison officer, an inmate looked into the camera and said that they were doing what had to be done because they have no food and cannot take showers at the jail. Another inmate is then seen standing over the crouched detention officer with his hand on the back of his neck, berating him.
The inmate holding the phone can then be heard saying that the water in the jail does not work and the toilets are backed up.
The shooting incident occurred after jail staff notified local law enforcement agencies, and officers with the Oklahoma City Police Department and the Oklahoma County Sheriff’s Office responded to the scene.
Oklahoma County Sheriff Tommie Johnson III claimed officers tried to de-escalate the hostage situation, but shots were fired after the inmate who had the correctional officer in a “hostage position” held something to his neck.
Johnson said;
“Lethal force was taken, and the suspect was shot on scene. We were able to get the detention officer out safely.”
The correctional officer was taken to a hospital for treatment. Although authorities did not release the extent of the officer’s injuries, they said he is expected to be OK.
Police Chief Wade Gourley said the department’s investigation into the hostage situation and deadly shooting is in the preliminary stages, and he didn’t have too many details as of Saturday night. Several investigators have been called in to conduct interviews, and the Oklahoma City Police Department will take the lead on the investigation.
After the incident, a group of protesters gathered outside the jail, complaining about conditions that inmates allegedly faced behind bars.

According to a statement released by the spokesperson of the state police command, DSP Abimbola Oyeyemi, the suspect was apprehended when policemen attached to Enugada divisional headquarters Abeokuta who were on routine patrol with the Dpo SP Baba Hamzat saw the woman throwing something suspicious into the river. The suspicious behavior of the woman, after throwing the object into the river attracted the policemen who quickly apprehended her for questioning.

Nigerian writer, Moshood Adebayo, has opined that people should stop coming ladies in their neighborhood to World Trade Organization DG, Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala.
According to the writer, Ngozi came from a rich background and her parents were both professors so the access to education and connection in high places was easy to come by for her.

She also opined that most times, people don’t become “riffraffs” just because they were lazy but they instead become a product of the environment they were raised in.
Her post reads ;
Stop comparing ladies in your neighborhood to Ngozi Okonjo-Iwealla. Her parent were both professors and her dad a Royal Majesty. They’ve always been rich. She was just 22 when she finished from Harvard University. You know how expensive Harvard is, right? She was 27 when she earned her PhD, from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. Someone who worked at World Bank for 25 years, rising to the position of Managing Director. No, it would be unfair to measure your seriousness in life by that woman’s standard. Her brilliance is motivating, but her circumstances are different, If you’ve also had the same parent, you would’ve probably done better.
Most times, people aren’t reduced to riffraff and socioeconomic passersby because they’re lazy or stupid. Poverty and powerlessness are just merciless conditioners, that’s all. When you don’t have money, there’s not so much you could do, in the way of chasing dreams.
Your exposure level would be low, and when it’s low, your ambitions would be accordingly small irrespective of how big your dreams may be. Now, when someone with exposure and big ambitions sees you, he sees someone who isn’t serious enough nor brilliant enough but you are!
You’re a royal material only raised in the culture of slaves. To be continued..
If you’ve also had the same parent, you would’ve probably done better.

I don’t think there will be any problem because his family adores me. I have regrets going into porn but everyone learns from their past mistakes. I have learnt mine and moved on.”
Controversial Nigerian socialite, Tacha not too long ago, took to social media to attack the people who are condemning Rivers State Governor, Nyesom Wike, over his gesture to Nigerian singing sensation, Burna Boy during his homecoming concert over the weekend.
Following the report that the governor gifted the Grammy award-winning singer a land and enough money to build on it, Nigerians had taken to social media to condemn the gesture and even call the governor “irresponsible”.
Quite a number of people were of the notion that the Governor’s gesture was unnecessary and not even a priority because the singer won a Grammy — these sorta reactions caused the former Big Brother Naija housemate to make a video of herself lambasting such people.
According to Tacha, Governor Wike’s gesture is well justified because Burna Boy won “a whole Grammy” and not just some local based award… and as a matter of fact, the gesture even seems a bit little as she thinks a city should be named after Burna Boy and even a public holiday be declared in his name.
A Nigerian Catholic priest, Fr. Kelvin Ugwu has stated that most laws created in the name of religion are meant for the poor and poor women.
The Malawi based priest stated this on Saturday, March 27, following the ongoing Hijab controversy in Kwara State.
“If we are to be sincere to ourselves, most of these unnecessary laws created in the name of religion are basically meant for the poor and for poor women,” he wrote.
“You will not find the super rich kids in schools where there will be foolish arguments like, whether it is mandatory to wear or not to wear Hijab. What most of these rich folks will do, ordinary poor Muslims CAN’T do it and go free.
Even in parishes, the day one super rich man will come to church with his female kids all wearing trousers, even the church warden oppressing the young poor girls in the village because of trousers will be the first to greet the super rich children and compliment them with words like: “unu amaka”(you people are looking beautiful).
This is how some women between 1990 to year 2000 were condemned to hell because they wore trousers. Then between 2010 and 2021, women no longer go to hell because of trousers. Almost every woman now has trousers. Is it not a miracle? Mtchwww!
The way some of you make God to look like one jobless old man sitting down with broken glasses and looking and taking records of who will wear trousers and who will not, who will wear hijab and who will not, deserve to be in the Guinness book of records. I am not yet sure which category it will fall under.”
