A Nigerian medical doctor has shared photos of his incredible “before and now” transformation after leaving Nigeria.

The doctor, identified as @wakawaka_doctor on Twitter, took to the micro–blogging platform to share photos of himself showing how much he’s changed since migrating abroad.

One of the photos was taken the day he left Nigeria and it showed him at the airport. The other photo shows him in the country he migrated to.

A Nigerian man simply known as Michael has taken to social media to share his experience after having a close shave with death.

According to the man, herdsmen allegedly opened fire on the train he boarded, but thankfully, the bullets missed him and other passengers.

Shaken by the incident which happened on March 2, he shared a photo of the bullet ridden window and some standing at the scene of the attack.

A first-class mathematics graduate of the University of Nigeria, Nsukka identified as Emmanuel Nworie, has won a fully-funded scholarship at a university in the United States.

Nworie bagged the scholarship after a photo of him tilling the soil in Ebonyi state owing to poverty and a lack of a platform to utilize his knowledge went viral on social media.’

Speaking on the hard times he’s faced in an interview with The Cable, he said ;

“I started having challenges in 2005 when we struggled with the health of my dad. I have long wanted to be a mathematician. But after my dad passed away, I was deterred because at some point when I was trying to save for undergraduate studies and after two years I couldn’t save enough, so I was frustrated.”

Nworie emerged as one of the 23 candidates selected from a pool of 1,509 applicants for the scholarship, covering costs for application fees and the Graduate Record Exam (GRE) — a requirement for the graduate application for some courses in the US.

He received three offers from universities in the southern part of the US. Taiwo who made the announcement said;

“Today, I am pleased to announce that Emmanuel Chinweuba Nworie has accepted a fully-funded offer to study for his PhD in Mathematics at the Southern Methodist University (SMU) in Dallas, Texas. SMU is a prestigious private research university. Emmanuel prefers locations with warm weather. He received three great offers, all from schools in the southern part of the US.

“Mentors are our secret sauce. It is hard to exaggerate the role Dr. Busayo Aworunse, Emmanuel’s assigned mentor, played in delivering the outcome we celebrate today. Busayo, thank you. Help me congratulate Emmanuel. I cannot wait to see what he does with a Math PhD from SMU!”

Oba of Lagos, Rilwan Akiolu has claimed that $2 million and N17 million were stolen from his palace during the #EndSARS crisis in 2020.

Popular Nigerian OAP, Victor Nwaogu, better known as Nkubi and his wife, Ofoegbu Vivian Nkeiruka, have shared their love story on how they met. The couple who revealed they’re married traditionally after dating for two years, told BBC Pidgin that they met on Facebook.

According to Vivian, she saw Nkubi on her Friend’s Facebook wall and went through his profile, and decided to send him a friend request. He responded and they began texting.

Though she reached out first, Nkubi said he was the first one to say, “I love you.”

Vivian admitted that people may give them funny looks because of her husband’s physique but she doesn’t care.

A young Nigerian man identified as Ango Adamu has died mysteriously just a day after his wedding.

It was gathered that the deceased got married on Friday, February 26 in Matumbi, Niger State and died the following Saturday, February 27.

A friend of the deceased identified as Usman Mohd Chiroma, said it was a “sudden death”

A Nigerian lady has taken to social media to narrate how a man dumped his girlfriend after asking her to quit her job and got engaged to another lady.

The lady with Twitter handle @Ayomiepat_ said she met the broken-hearted lady recently and she shared the heart wrenching details of her failed relationship.

According to her, her boyfriend pressured her to resign from her job because her employer was making sexual advances at her. She eventually gave in to the pressure and resigned in December, only for the deceitful man to propose to another lady in January.
