A Nigerian wedding reception that recently held in Port-harcourt, Rivers State have gone viral on social media due to the number of attendees that graced the celebration.

The couple hosted quite a simple reception with few friends after exchanging their vows.

The couple’s friend, Mr Alayi, shared photos from the church ceremony and reception held under a canopy with a table at a backyard on Thursday, December 24, 2020.

As seen in the photos, the church wedding had only one friend and a little boy while the simple reception had about seven friends in attendance.

A Nigerian man has gone viral on social media after he offered free rides to residents in Port-harcourt, Rivers State, in his own little way to share love on Christmas.

Twitter user, Joshua Sampson shared the photo on his page and advised Nigerians to share love because it has been a hard year.

Veteran filmmaker, Chico Ejiro dies on Christmas Day.

Veteran Nollywood filmmaker, Chico Ejiro, has died.

HE passed on in the early hours of December 25, from a seizure. He only just concluded directing his new movie on Christmas Eve.

According to reports, Ejiro was ill about five weeks ago and taken to a hospital in Surulere where he was placed on admission. But he was discharged after a week.

His remains have been deposited at the morgue.

For many years, he held the record of the Nollywood director with the highest number of released movies.

He is survived by his wife, Joy Ejiro with whom he had four children.

May his soul rest in peace, Amen.

Blessing Aribisala, the Nigerian woman who went viral after she took to Twitter to hail her husband who works as a security man, for buying Christmas chicken for the family, has been offered cash gift in the spirit of the festive season.

Recall that the happily-married woman on Thursday, December 24, heaped prayers on her hubby, as she thanked him for bringing home the Christmas Chicken even though he had not received his salary since 2016.

Well, Nigerians have started making donations for Blessing as they hailed her for being a supportive wife.

Among those that supported her was popular singer, Simi, who revealed that an organization had sent in N200k for a #AsmileforChristmas program, which had been canceled due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

A Nigerian man identified as Obinna Nwosu, has demonstrated an act akin to appreciating his wife and showing how much he cares for her.

The romantic man prepared breakfast for his better half and served it to her whilst she was still in bed.

He served a simple meal of toasted bread and drink but the icing on the cake was that he also dropped some mint naira notes together with the food for his woman.

Governor Sanwo-Olu recovers from COVID-19

Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu has finally recovered from Coronavirus and is now out of isolation.

The Lagos state Governor tested negative for COVID-19 after 14 days of treatment.

The Governor addressed the press at the Lagos House, Marina on Thursday Decembr 24 and thanked Lagosians and the medical team for their care, prayers and concern throughout the isolation period.

Last week, the Governor admitted that the economy cannot endure a second lockdown and he pleaded with Nigerians to observe the pre-existing COVID-19 rules.

Minister of Labour and Employment, Dr Chris Ngige, has promised that he will not allow another long Academic Staffs Union of Universities (ASUU) strike.

The union announced the suspension of the 9-month old industrial action at a press conference held Wednesday morning in Abuja.

ASUU President, Professor Biodun Ogunyemi, who led other National Executive Committee of the union to the event where he made the announcement, explained that the suspension takes effect from today, Wednesday 23, 2020.

The decision to suspend the action, according to Ogunyemi, followed the resolution to that effect by NEC at its meeting held earlier.

The minister during his appearance at Channels TV, revealed his children are also in Nigerian public universities hence the reason why he won’t allow such to repeat himself again.

”I won’t give ASUU opportunity to go on strike again. I would not because I have three biological children who suffered from the lingering strike. I also have about fifteen people who are on my scholarship in Nigerian universities. My three biological children are here in Nigerian universities even though two of them have American citizenship, and can go to America to enjoy free education. I am committed, even more than some of the ASUU members.” he said

IGP bans flaunting of wealth on social media by Nigerians

The Inspector -General of Police, Mohammad Adams, on Thursday, reeled out fresh instructions and security measures targeted at peaceful Christmas and new year celebrations by Nigerians.

The IGP in a statement has announced that citizens should not flaunt their personal wealth on social media.

Adamu has also directed operatives to provide coverage for Nigerians on major highways, airports, railway stations, recreational centres, motor – parks, places of worship, financial institutions, etc to ensure crime-free yuletide celebrations.

“The IGP gave the directives to all Assistant Inspectors-General of Police and Commissioners of Police in charge of Zonal and State Commands nationwide to ensure a peaceful celebration.”

“The IGP equally directed the Strategic Officers to ensure massive deployment of intelligence and other operational assets of the Force particularly on major highways, airports, railway stations, recreational centres, motor – parks, places of worship, financial institutions, etc”

“They are also to ensure that personnel deployed are adequately supervised for utmost professionalism in the discharge of their duties. He warned that acts bordering on indiscipline, extortion and intimidation of travellers and other road users will not be condoned.”

While congratulating Christians in the country as they join other Faithfuls across the globe to celebrate the symbolic anniversary of the Birth of Christ, the IGP expressed profound appreciation to all Nigerians for their support to the Police and other security agencies in the fight against crimes in the country. He assured improved police service delivery and security generally in the incoming year, 2021.”

“Meanwhile, the IGP enjoined Nigerians to take precautionary measures to reduce exposure to security risks and the ravaging COVID-19 pandemic. He stressed that citizens should avoid night travels, over-speeding, over-loading, stopping on lonely highways and unnecessary flaunting of personal details/wealth on social media. Citizens are also enjoined to voluntarily adhere to the COVID-19 prevention regulations and protocols to prevent further spread of the virus.”

A Nigerian lady identified as Amarachi Reginald has taken to social media to reveal how someone gifted her a N2 million after she cried out over not getting anything for Christmas.

Amarachi had lamented over not having any gifts for the festive season on social media, wondering why nobody had asked for her account number to credit her with Xmas alert.

Popular Nigerian Actress, Stella Damasus has stressed that social media should never determine the strength of a friendship.

The actress also added that not following or posting a friend should never be the very thing to destroy it.

Damasus who noted that there is a difference between social media friends and true friends, averred that maturity goes beyond social media.

Nollywood actress, Funke Akindele-Bello, has opened up about her relationship with her husband, Abdulrasheed Bello, aka JJC Skillz while revealing that she extends the olive branch when there is a disagreement between them.

The actress who recently released her latest project, Omo Ghetto The Saga, made this statement during an interview session on the programme Your View which airs on TVC.

“When we have disagreements, I apologise first. You know me; it is mouth that I have. I will say everything and just let it go and my anger span is very short but Abdul’s own is longer, so, he takes his time before he gets angry. Abdul does not get angry easily, he takes things easy.

“And Abdul knows how to communicate better; so, if I am having issues with someone I am working with, I usually go and report the person to him. I ask him, ‘what do we do now because you know that I don’t know how to talk o.’ Then he tells me to calm down and goes to talk to the person,” the ace actress said.

The Jenifa’s Diary actress who co-produces most of her projects with her husband further spoke on their working relationship.

Akindele-Bello noted that she has the creative juice while her husband handles the technical aspect.

In her words, JJC Skillz is “very understanding and he is a very good man.”

She said, “For Abdul and me; I am the major producer, Abdul does not produce, he does not even like it. He is a director, he is so technical. I am very creative, he is very technical and he is very good.”

Giving a scenario as she mimicked her husband’s British accent, the diva said, “As a co-director with Abdul, if I do not want something, I tell him. Like I keep nagging, where is your shot list, where is your shot list? We have to get this shot list. I say it like two days before; I tell him let us talk about the shot list but he says, ‘Yo, Yo, I am coming.’ With his accent, but he has everything in his head. So, when we get to the set, I tell him what I want us to do but he will reply saying, ‘Yo, Yo see this place is small. We have to manage it’.

“I tell him, ‘Skillz, ma so be (don’t say so); let us do it from here.’ But he will say ‘Babe, please calm down, calm down.’ Sometimes I tell him, ‘Fi ooyinbo le, leave English’.”

Akindele-Bello described her husband as very understanding and a good man.

She added that she had learnt over the years to respect her partner no matter what.

“You should not command people to do things; you should communicate in a subtle way. You should not be defensive, you should not nag. So, I tell my husband things I do not like and he does so the same way,” Akindele-Bello stated.

Singer, Oladapo Daniel Oyebanjo, better known by his stage name D’banj, has recovered his Instagram account after it was hacked.

The 40-year-old told his followers that his account was hacked between December 17 and December 22 on Wednesday.

My people, a big thank you for all for the support so far, the calls and messages are deeply appreciated.

My account was hacked by scrupulous people. I will like to give a big thumbs up to my technical team in conjunction with @csa.global and the @facebook team who worked tirelessly to retrieve my account.

Please ignore any DMs or comments that may have erupted from my account between 17th of Dec to 22nd of Dec.

We stand strong
Let’s keep winning , he wrote.

He also told his followers to ignore any direct message they might have received.

Benue state Government Adopts ZUGACOIN.

Benue state government has adopted Zugacoin as honourable Speaker to the Benue State House of Assembly, Hon.Titus Ubah alongside, Hon. Bem Mngutyo minority leader Benue state house of Assembly officially became registered members of Zugacoin.

This new feat was achieved during their courtesy visit to the founder of Zugacoin Archbishop Dr Sam Zuga who is also from Benue state, a Tiv man by birth.

The Honorable Speakers expressed excitement over the establishment and the progress of Zugacoin as the first Cryptocurrency in Africa founded by a Nigerian.

In addition, the Honourables said many members of Benue state house of assembly and other top government officials are already registered members of Zugacoin, assured Archbishop Dr Sam Zuga of the Benue government’s full support and backing towards the establishment of Zugacoin as the aims is also inline with the Archbishop’s vision 0202-2020. Which is to make the able Nigerian youths millionaire.

It would be recalled that few weeks ago, ZUGACOIN broke new records since its official launch into the cryptocurrency market on December 1, 2020.

The most valuable and expensive Cryptocurrency in the world joined the CoinMarket Cap making its CEO, Archbishop Sam Zuga, the first African to list his Coin on CoinMarket Cap.

It important to note that Zugacoin has continued to gain grounds, making historic progress in the world of cryptocurrencies.

Baba Tee’s Ex-Wife Dupe Odulate Makes Numerous Allegations Against Him

Nigerian actor, Baba Tee’s second ex-wife has slammed after he threw shade at her when he welcomed his first child.

Sometime ago, Baba Tee, said all those who called him “a man with small penis and a serial lover” have been put to shame.

He made this known while celebrating Father’s Day after welcoming a child with his third wife,

His ex-wife Dupe has now slammed him. She said she needed to set the record straight, then stated that her current husband did not “snatch” her from Baba Tee as the comic actor has been telling people.

She said Baba Tee left her and moved on with other women, then sent a message that he won’t return home until she leaves his house.

She asked him to stop slandering her current husband by claiming he snatched her from him.

“Shebi you said you have married, make i no marry too ni?”

Dupe, who called out Baba Tee’s first wife Yetunde after they divorced and she married the actor, said she won’t blame Baba Tee’s third wife because she’s innocent and he probably lied to her the way he did with her too when he left his first wife for her.

Regarding Baba Tee’s alleged infertility, Dupe, who is now expecting her own child too, insisted Baba Tee suffered infertility as a result of “low sperm count” when they were together but he refused to treat it.

She said before it was discovered he was the one with fertility issues, he used to call her a barren woman until tests proved the fault was from him.

She dared him to deny his “impotency” and threatened to release his infertility result online if he does.

She also alleged he once threatened to stab her with a knife in his hands and subjected her to different forms of abuses.

Dupe also shared a video of herself flaunting her baby bump and thanked God for shaming those who called her barren by blessing her with the baby in her womb.

Popular Nigerian singer, Chinedu Okoli better known as Flavour has given his aged father, Elder Benjamin Okoli a special Christmas gift.

The singer entertained his father with a mind blowing in house music performance specially for him.

In a now viral video the 36-year-old music-star is seen performing for his aged father during his visit to his family house.

The video captured moment Flavour played guitar and also sang a song for his father during his Christmas visit.

The Enugu born award winning music artist showered praises on his dad, described him as a legend who gave birth to a great man.

Elder Okoli the father of the popular Nigerian highlife musician affirmed the indeed he birthed a great man.
