Afrobeat singer, Wizkid’s latest album has broken 21 records and garnered over 181 million streams on all music streaming platform within one month of its official release.

“Made in Lagos” was one of the most anticipated album of the year and the artiste born Ayo Balogun met his fan’s expectations.

The news of the singer’s new feat was announced on his official fan page account on Instagram on Tuesday, December 1, with photos enumerating the accomplishments.

The album has been streamed 181.34 million times on Boomplay, Audio mack, Apple music and YouTube. Made in Lagos has also broken about 21 records in one month.

The handler shared the photos and captioned it,

“Here’s a snapshot of what we were able to achieve in our first month of release! ❤️✨

Fans and followers of the award-winning singer has taken to the platform to congratulate him for the well-deserved feats.

In reaction to the accusation, the accomplished singer shared an old photo of them together and called for prayers for him because he strongly feels all is not well with him.

Popular Nigerian singer, Davido has reacted after he was called out by netizens, accusing him of celebrating killings in the north.

The “A Better Time” star had taken to his Twitter page to share a post celebrating the week, few hours after the news broke that he bought gifts for the children of Kogi state first lady, Rashida Yahaya Bello, at a mall in Dubai.

His tweet reads, “Fruitful week for us all”.

However his innocent tweet received backlash on social media, as fans and followers accused him of being in a celebratory mood despite all that is going on in the northern part of the country.

Recall that, over the weekend at least 110 people were reportedly killed in a recent Boko Haram attack on a farming community in Borno state.

In reaction to his tweet about a fruitful week, Davido was accused of not sympathizing with his fans who hail from the northern part of Nigerria.

A Twitter user wrote @ abubakar_sarawa wrote,

“Can’t believe you are doing this @davido you have a huge amount of fans here in the north, in a critical situation like this you can’t even sympathize with them shame on you man.”

In response to the backlash, Davido quickly noted that his activities with the Kogi governor’s children had nothing to do with situation of things in the north.

A young Nigerian man, Ayo Lex has taken to social media to reveal how his family assaulted him and prevent him from moving out of the house.

Ayo, 25, recounted how he was beaten to a pulp by his father and elder brother after he requested to move out of the house to his own apartment.

The young banker also disclosed that this will be the second time he is being assaulted by his family and the first experience was in February 2019 at a mall in Dugbe, Ibadan.

Taking to Twitter, Ayo shared photos of his bruised body and wrote;

“My own family brutalized me yesterday night all because i wanted to leave their house to rent my own apartment.

“This is the 2nd time.

“Yesterday night around 9pm i told my parents I’ve decided to leave their home to move to my new apartment and suddenly I was been ordered around like a kid to go back to my room that i can’t leave, mind you I’m 25 years old.

“My own father started getting aggressive with me and even went to the extent of demanding i release my phone to him, (phone wey i use my own money buy), I refused and then he started hitting me, punching me, slapping me, my elder brother joined him in this act.

“I suffered!

“My mum pleaded they stopped but they continued hurting me, slapping me and doing all sorts of harm to me, I screamed for help but they continued. This is the second time they’ll do such to me. The 1st one happened on February 28, 2019 in the evening at Dugbe Mall Shoprite Ibadan.”

Sex worker sells her 4 months old baby for N300,000 in Katsina

The Katsina State Police Command has arrested a 25-year-old sex worker. Zainab Adamu, for allegedly selling her four months old baby girl for N300, 000.

Spokesperson of the command Isah Gambo, who confirmed the incident in a statement on Wednesday, December 2, said that the suspect, an indigine of Adamawa state but residing at Kofar Kaura Layout area of Katsina, was arrested on November 26, based on a tip off.

“Zainab conspired with her friend, one Ruth Kenneth, 32, of Kofar Kaura Layout, an indigene of Delta state and sold her four months old baby girl to one Chinwendi Omeh, 43, of Ekwusigo LGA of Anambra state at the cost of three hundred thousand naira (N300,000:00K).” said Gambo.

“In the course of investigation another suspect, one Chukwudi Elias Nnali, aged 45yrs of the same address, brother to Chinwindi Omeh, was also arrested for aiding and abetting the commission of the offence. The sums of one hundred and sixty-five thousand Naira, (N165,000:00K) and eighty-ive thousand Naira (N85,000:00K) were recovered from Zainab Adamu and Ruth Kenneth respectively as proceeds of the sale of the baby. Investigation is ongoing.” he added.

I once also saw life from a place of lack and frowned on so many things cos I couldn’t fathom some ideas because I wasn’t earning that much. Today I judge myself first, make that money first before you judge anyone.

People have different priorities, theirs is not wrong, urs is not right. We are all adulting together. Pls don’t use conservative people as yardstick, they might wear a 5 dollars shirt but spend money acquiring planes, vacations, things that you’ll also think is a waste of money

Recall that, Taomma who got engaged in February this year, recently introduced her fiancé to her fans on her YouTube channel and acknowledged that she was indeed engaged.

Meanwhile in a recent interview with Saturday beats, Taaooma stated that she was excited getting her ‘dream proposal’ in Namibia.

In her words,

“It feels nice to be engaged at my young age. I did not know it would happen this soon because I was indifferent about it. Getting married early or late had never bothered me. I actually still do not believe that I am engaged. I did not see the proposal coming so I was very surprised and shy about it”.

Mercy’s friend who could not hold together the overwhelming joy screamed all through as dollar bills rained on her.

Popular Nollywood actress, Mercy Johnson and her husband, Prince Okojie have dedicated their fourth child, Divine-Mercy, in church.

The power couple, welcomed the addition to their family in May in the United States.

According to the thespian, he’s been feeling frustrated and he questioned the usefulness of the actor’s guild in Nigeria.

His IG post reads ;

Why is it right for Actors to not receive royalties and residuals for their life’s work in Nigeria.

Is it because it says so in the contract ?

Is there really always a contract ?

What the heck does the guild stand for really ?

He continued via the caption ;

I’ve really begun to feel frustrated in this CRAFT that I love so much. Remember that during the times of COVID lockdown, ONLY folks working in “essential services” were allowed to come out. Doctors, Nurses, Farmers etc etc.

Let me remind you that while you were holed-up in your home for upwards of 4 months, watching Television, The ACTOR participated actively, in keeping your sanity in check. That’s An Essential Service if you ask Me.

But for All that the ACTOR does (for society) all that accrues to him at the end of the day, is the upfront payment which he accepted. Which most of the time, comes at a Piecemeal drop, covering for a duration of A Lifetime….For Life!
