Singer, Peter Okoye’s wife, Lola Omotayo, celebrated her husband and his twin brother on their birthday yesterday as she reminded them of being brothers despite their ongoing feud.

The businesswoman initially celebrated her husband Peter. Then, in another post, she shared photos of her husband and his twin brother Paul Okoye and she had some words of wisdom for them.

She wrote,

“Hmmm….to the twins @peterpsquare @iamkingrudy whether you like it or not, you are brothers; you are not only brothers, you are TWINS! I wish you both a very happy birthday! Life is short, make the best of it! Respect and Love should be sacrosanct! As we get older we should realize that life is precious and time waits for no one. My 2 cents!

Her message was apparently not welcomed by the other half it was directed to as he took to his Instagram page moments ago to out her over her message.

According to Paul Okoye, his sister-in-law is only putting up a front for social media to portray her as an angel, meanwhile people are not aware of “the evil things she does behind closed doors”.

On his IG stories, Paul accused Lola of being a manipulative person and is able to carry out her acts with himself and elder brother, Jude Okoye not in the picture anymore, which has been how she wanted it.

He wrote in part,

Aunty for 4years we haven’t spoken, but every 18th of November you come out as usual to type shit ….and they end up saying “awwww she’s a good woman” meanwhile they don’t know the evil things you do behind close doors … while in the outside you try to portray an angel ….

Former Big Brother Naija housemate, Neo Akpofure has spoken on his relationship with Vee, and his cousin, Venita’s interference in his affairs.

Recall that, Venita Akpofure, reality TV star and cousin to Big Brother Naija season 5 housemate, Neo, blatantly forbade him from having a relationship with his lover in the house, Vee.

In a recent interview, Neo was asked on the circle involving himself, Venita and Vee. In response he stated that there’s no circle, and he’s only concerned about Vee.

The reality TV star, noted that what matters is what him and his lover, Vee feels about themselves, adding that nothing else matter.

He noted that people are allowed to have different opinions about things, including his cousin Venita, but he won’t let it affect his relationship.

Meanwhile, there seems to be a family feud between reality TV stars and relatives, Venita and Neo as they’ve brought their conflict to the cyber space.

Venita Akpofure and Neo Akpofure have unfollowed each other on photo sharing platform, Instagram.

The chat read in part,

Popular Nigerian Prophet Jailed Over Multi-Million Naira Fraud

Popular cleric, Prophet Israel Oladele Ogundipe of CCC Global Genesis Church, has been sentenced to a two-year jail term for defrauding a U.K- based woman.

Israel’s conviction was sanctioned by a Lagos State High court.

The presiding Judge, Justice Olabisi Akinlade slammed a two year jail term on Prophet Israel who is the Sheperd-in-Charge of CCC Global Genesis church on Wednesday, November 18 after he was found guilty of charges leveled against him.

Oladele was charged with seven counts charges bordering on fraud and obtaining money by false pretenses, preferred against him by the Lagos State government.

According to reports, he defrauded one Mrs. Olaide William Oni to the tune of N17m which she gave him to procure some landed properties on her behalf because she thought he was a good pastor.

The victim said she first met the prophet 2002 during her visit to Nigeria, when she was taken to his church for prayers by her step-sister.

She said ;

“He told me something about my husband in one of his prophecies, that I should not have anything jointly with him because he was having an affair behind my back.

He gave me a liquid to drink and I started vomiting. I was asked to sit down and he lighted a candle and said I should be there until the candle goes off.”

Speaking further, she alleged he took her in company of her step-sister and cousin to a bush in Sango Ota area of Ogun State, where she was allegedly bathed with some concoctions near a river.

According to her, her misfortune started when she returned to London, the prophet asked her to invest in landed property in Lagos, which she agreed. This she did after consultations with some persons.

She allegedly sent N17 million in five tranches of N900,000, N2.5 million, N8.5 million, N2.7 million and £12,000 between 2002 and 2005 to purchase the property on her behalf, which turned out to be a fraud.

Following the release of results on Friday, November 13, social media has been abuzz with some exceptional candidates as well as abysmal result slips of popular schools and students.

However, a young lady who scored excellent marks in the exams has been gifted a brand new car by her parents.

In a video shared online, a woman believed to be her mother was seen presenting the new Hyundai Elantra to her.

Before the key to the new Hyundai Elantra was handed over, the woman was heard saying a prayer for the and encouraged her to replicate the same kind of results in future.

Soldier kept dancing while shooting at us – Lekki Shooting survivor reveals

A lady identified as Dabira Ayuku, who said she participated in the #EndSARS protest at the Lekki tollgate, has shared her experience from the event of October 20.

She narrated how soldiers and policemen opened fire and allegedly killed Nigerian protesters holding flags on the night of October 20.

The lady recounted how a soldier kept dancing while shooting at the protesters.

In a petition she submitted to the Lagos State Judicial Panel of Inquiry into the toll gate shooting, Ayuku said; “The soldiers were asking people to run, whilst they shot at them. I remember a particular soldier that kept dancing whilst he shot.”

In the 29-paragraph affidavit she deposed to and submitted to the Justice Doris Okuwobi-led panel, Ayuku said the shootings started at about some minutes before 7pm and lasted for about 45 minutes.

She wrote, “The soldiers kept shooting at random and I saw people falling to the ground, injured or lifeless. I took cover behind the wheel of one of the trucks at the protest ground to shield myself from the bullets that were flying all over.

“A male protester, who identified me, walked towards me and attempted to sit beside me but was hit by a bullet before he could sit down beside me. I noticed more people being hit by bullets and with the help of others, we began lifting them from the ground to the stage truck.

“Among the people placed on the truck, I saw four lifeless bodies on the stage truck that night and two on the floor.”

According to her, a senior military officer arrived the scene in a jeep, raised a white cloth and ordered the soldiers to stop shooting.

She said, “He appeared to be a senior military officer and also well known to the soldiers because they recognised his authority and obeyed his orders.”

Ayuku said upon a visit to the Grandville Hospital, in Lagos, she met injured protesters who were being treated and operated upon at no cost.

She added, “The injured protesters with gunshot wounds that I met and interacted with in the hospital were people shot in the chest, head, ribs, hands and legs. Some concerned protesters and I started to cater for their welfare.”

Ayuku, who assured the judicial panel that she has pictorial evidence of the incident, said, “I am apprehensive about my safety as some strange persons have been noticed visiting my house, asking after me, with some concerned persons duly alerting me of this suspicious and alarming visits and movement, a situation which has forced me to move away in fear of my life.”

Recall that the Nigerian Army has on several cases, denied that soldiers shot at or killed any protester at the Lekki tollgate, insisting that only blank bullets were fired into the air.

Veteran Nollywood Actress, Genevieve Nnaji has taken to her social media page to thank DJ Switch for not staying silent about the shootings that happened at Lekki Toll Gate on the 20th of October, 2020.

The Nigerian youths had staged a protest to demand an end to the Special Anti-Robbery Squad (SARS), extra-judicial killings and police brutality, which was tagged #EndSARS.

On October 20th, protesters gathered at the Lekki Toll Gate to press home their demands once again, but there has been mixed reportage to the events that occurred that night.

DJ Switch had bravely gone live on her Instagram page even as the shootings were going on and in the process, exposed the gruesome to the world.

American Television channel, CNN has released its findings from an independent investigation carried out on the October 20 shooting and it further proved that so many things happened that were being swept under the carpet.

DJ was featured on the cable network and she once again reaffirmed her earlier stance about the shootings.

Talented Nollywood actress, Funke Akindele has replied an online prophet who prophesied that she would die if she ever undergoes surgery.

The Twitter prophet who claimed God sent him a message to the actress, took to the micro blogging platform to warn her ahead.

Popular Nigerian singer, Timaya yesterday November 17th, shared the first photos of his fourth child, Maya with his third babymama, Dunnie O.

The singer welcomed the adorable baby girl six months ago with his lover, Nigerian-American visual artist, Dunnie O.

Celebrating Maya who turned 6 months today, November 17th, 2020, Timaya shared photos of her on his Instagram page and wrote,

“Y’all meet my daughter MAYA. She 6 months old. @dunnieo U so special. Gratitud…”

However, Nigerians have expressed their surprise at the birth of Maya, since the singer two years ago announced he was done making babies.

CNN releases findings from its independent investigation on Lekki shooting, confirms it happened (Video)

American Television channel, CNN has released its findings from an independent investigation carried out on the October 20 shooting.

The Nigerian youths had staged a protest to demand an end to the Special Anti-Robbery Squad (SARS), extra-judicial killings and police brutality, which was tagged #EndSARS.

On October 20th, protesters gathered at the Lekki Toll Gate to press home their demands once again, but there has been mixed reportage to the events that occurred that night.

CNN, has however, conducted an independent investigation on the shooting and aired their findings.

They shared footage of what appears to be soldiers shooting at the #EndSARS protesters who had gathered at the tollgate.

The media house also reported that they’ve spoken with dozens of protesters who were at the scene when the shooting occurred. They claim the soldiers indeed fired shots at them.

CNN in its investigation spoke with a man, Elisha Sunday, whose brother, Victor, was murdered in cold blood during the October 20th shooting incident.

The media house also tracked the bullets shells seen at the Toll Gate and the companies that supplied the Nigerian Army Weapons since 2005.

Not having children made me successful – Singer Dolly Parton reveals

Popular American singer and songwriter, Dolly Parton has revealed that the decision to not have children made her successful.

The 74-year-old singer has been married to Carl Dean since 1966, but the couple never became parents.

Talking to Oprah Winfrey in her upcoming interview for Apple, Dolly is asked whether she has made sacrifices in her career.

‘I’ve made sacrifices but I believe that I know what I’m supposed to do. But you’ve got to make the sacrifice,’ the Jolene chanteuse explains.’ Since I had no kids, and my husband was pretty independent, I had freedom.

‘So I think a big part of my whole success is the fact that I was free to work.’

Dolly also feels she wasn’t ‘meant’ to have children, adding: ‘I didn’t have children because I believe that God didn’t mean for me to have kids so everybody’s kids could be mine, so I could do things like the [book gifting program] Imagination Library.

‘If I hadn’t had the freedom to work I wouldn’t have done all the things I’ve done and I wouldn’t be in the position to do all the things I’m doing.’

Dolly also spoke of her husband and how she gets asked if he’s actually real.

She shared: ‘A lot of people have thought that through the years, because he does not want to be in the spotlight at all.

‘It’s just not who he is. He’s like, a quiet, reserved person and he figured if he ever got out there in that, he’d never get a minute’s peace and he’s right about that.’

Dolly has made a concerted effort to keep her husband out of the limelight during her career.

She said: ‘I’ve always respected and appreciated that in him and I’ve always tried to keep him out of the limelight as much as I can.

‘He said, ‘I didn’t choose this world, I chose you, and you chose that world. But we can keep our lives separate and together.’ And we do and we have. We’ve been together 56 years, married 54.’

Dolly actually thinks that not being ‘in each other’s faces’ has helped their relationship.

She said: ‘Our joke about the fact, when people ask me why it’s lasted this long, I say, ‘Because I stay gone.’ And there’s a lot of truth in that – the fact that we’re not in each other’s faces all the time.

‘But we do have a great respect and admiration for each other. We both have a great sense of humour. So, we have a lot of fun.’

Asked how they spend their time when they’re together, Dolly explained: ‘We have very similar tastes … we love to travel around our little RV, and we don’t like parties and all that stuff.’

A viral video of a Hausa woman speaking Igbo language fluently without any hitch, has stirred up reactions on social media.

In the video shared by PM News on their official Twitter page, the 37-year-old Enugu based Hausa woman shocked many as she fluently conversed in Igbo.

The Sokoto woman revealed that she had relocated to the eastern page of Nigeria at the age of 12, and has spent over 25-years of her life in Enugu.

According to her, her stay in the eastern part of the country has been peaceful, adding that her landlord no longer collects rent from them.

Reacting to the woman’s ability to speak fluent Igbo language, a Twitter user @mabdul5159 tweeted,

“This is what we call unity in diversity…! And this is how Nigeria is supposed to be for any citizen to be or live in every state in Nigeria no matter his background or religion. But here we are busy criticizing one another with hate-speech instead showing love & unity.”

Another netizen @Kayodespeaks wrote,

“Only those that haven’t travel wide in this country will be shouting divide divide this country without considering their brothers in potiskum, mongunno, azare, okigwe,badagry etc.”

”This wickedness is too much…shame on you all” – Singer Simi blast Nigerian leaders over incessant ASUU Strike

Popular Nigerian singer/songwriter, Simi has taken to her social media page to lambaste Nigerian leaders over what she tagged ‘wickedness’ for allowing the ASSU strike linger on.

The Academic Staff Union of Universities have been on strike for more than 8 months now and it has negatively impacted the youths.. most of who have nothing else to do.

Negotiations between the FG and ASUU to meet demands and end the strike have always been futile and more Nigerians are now begging for a quick solution to be brokered.

Simi is angered by all these and she took to her page to share her thoughts.

Higher institutions on strike for months almost, if not every, year. The odds are always stacked against the average Nigerian. You spend the first half of ur life just trying to survive. To eat. To catch up. When you finally decide to settle, you don’t have enough to do even that

Taking away the hopes and dreams of the youth. Destroying their futures so they’re ready to settle for crumbs. Just so they can live to see the next day and fight for more crumbs. Because they’re not your own children, their futures don’t matter???? Shame on you!!!

If the leaders in our own country can’t have compassion on their own people, then what can we really do? They get into power and abuse it, abuse the people they should be serving. The rest of the world laughing at the so called giant of Africa. Shame on all of you!!
