Nigerian baker gets married to architect who ordered construction site cake from her

A Nigerian lady has taken to Twitter to share photos from her wedding to a man she met and fell in love with, in an unlikely circumstance.

The lady known as @iam_chinko on Twitter got married to her heartthrob who is an architect that ordered a construction site cake from her months back.

In July 2020, the lady, a baker had made a beautifully crafted cake designed to look like a building site and revealed that an engineer ordered the confectionary.

“Since 7am I enter site say make I hustle my normal 2k to take hold body. Engineer don order for materials but we still Dey wait for @DangoteCement to bring our cement come. Foreman just they para since morning because iron bender never come work for two days. E go beta sha !!” she tweeted.

Three months after delivering the cake to him, @iam_chinko shared photos of her engagement ring and told her followers that the her beau is none other than the man who ordered the well designed cake.

“So I said YES to the love of my life who is an architect and also the person who ordered the site cake below. Thank you @twittindeecee for bringing So much joy to my heart, beauty to my world and love to my life. I love you,” , she wrote.

Over a month after their engagement, the pretty baker, again shared photos of she and her husband online and thanked God.

She captioned the photos; “So it finally happened!!! Thank you lord”

According to him, the prowess of Enyimba FC while he was governor has increased his passion for the sport and is also the motivating factor behind his intended investment in Arsenal.

Recall that during his two terms as governor of Abia state between 1999 and 2007, Enyimba of Aba won the Nigeria Professional Football League five times ( 2001, 2002, 2003, 2005, and 2007).

The local club also became the first Nigerian side to win the CAF Champions League back to back in 2003 and 2004 and the CAF Super Cup in 2004 and 2005.

The 60-year-old politician took to Twitter to announce his new ambition. He tweeted,

Woman accused of witchcraft and allegedly caged for three years by her husband and his family rescued in Delta (photos)

A Nigerian woman who was accused of witchcraft and allegedly caged by her husband and his family in Delta has been rescued and currently receiving treatment.

According to the Human right activist, Gwamnishu Emefiena Harrison who shared the story on Facebook, the mother of eight was locked up by her supposed husband and his family members for over three years, after she was accused of being a witch.

He further revealed that, the woman spent the past four years of her life locked up in a room and was feeding only on bread.

It was learnt that the husband usually visits the cage, to have sex with her. Hence, She had three of their children while in the cage.

In his words,

“She spent the last four years of her life locked up by her supposed husband. She was peeing and defecating in the same room where he fed her bread. Not the regular sweetened bread though. She gave the said man 8 children three of which she had while she was locked up by him in Orerokpe community.”

A pregnant lady (identity withheld) has cried out after her intended mother-in-law prevented her son from marrying her because she is not beautiful enough.

The 28-year-old lady shared her heartbreaking story with a popular influencer, Arike Ade Pheonix in order to solicit advise from people.

According to her, the introduction ceremony between her and fiance had already been conducted. However, his mother stated clearly that the family would not go ahead with the wedding because of the distance and her physical features.

The man’s family is from Anambra state and the lady is from Enugu state. Based on popular knowledge, there is a silent rivalry between states in the Eastern part of Nigeria.

The lady, who was about 3-months pregnant, told her boyfriend that she wanted to abort the pregnancy as she didn’t want to be a baby mama.

He, however, blatantly refused to allow her abort the pregnancy and said he would take care of her till the baby is born, even though he won’t get married to her

Court grants bail to #EndSars protester, Eromosele

The Nigerian youth, Eromosele Omosele Adene who was arrested over his involvement in the EndSARS protest against police brutality has been granted bail by honorable Magistrate O.A.Salawu.

Eromosele who was arrested in his home, in the early hours of November 7th, was arraigned at the Yaba magistrate court, today, November 17th. It was alleged that members and journalists were prevented from entering the court premises as heavy police men stormed the court area.

Following the court proceedings, the Yaba Magistrates Court has granted bail to Eromosele Adene and the bail set at N1 million with two sureties required.

The magistrate said it was important that Eromosele’s fundamental right not be infringed upon in the interest of justice.

However, before now it was gathered that Eromosele slept in police custody for 10 days after he was arrested from his home for participating in the EndSARS Protest.

The Governor of Gombe State, Alhaji Inuwa Yahaya, has presented a car and the sum of N2m to Dahiru Buba, who trekked to celebrate Muhammadu Buhari’s election victory in 2015.

This came a day after PUNCH published a report of the 50-year-old narrating how he was mocked for trekking from Gombe to Abuja in honour of Buhari’s victory.

Earlier in the month, it was reported that Buba developed severe limb pains after the trekking exercise and was seeking assistance for treatment. He also pleaded with the governor of Gombe state, Inuwa Yahaya and other APC stake holders to come to his aid.

Fortunately, he is currently undergoing treatment and has been gifted a lumpsum amount and a car.

The Senior Special Assistant to the Gombe State Governor on Media, Ismaila Misilli, confirmed the development to PUNCH correspondent.

He said,

“This is as a result of good journalism; giving voice to the voiceless. Your medium granted an interview to the man who trekked from Gombe to Abuja in celebration of President Muhammadu Buhari’s victory in 2015. He has been presented a Space wagon car by the governor. The man is a driver by training and was given the sum of N2m.”

A Nigerian man has taken to social media to share how he narrowly escaped being jailed, after he discovered weed in yams he was asked to deliver abroad.

According to the unidentified man, his friend, Nwafor Onye-Igbo, had given him tuber of yams to help deliver to some other friends abroad.

The man who claims to be an ex-service man, revealed that he decided to take his time to properly check the items he was supposed to help his friend deliver abroad, when he found a weed, creatively hidden in the tuber of yam.

Weed popularly known as marijuana is an illegal substance that the immigration authorities frown at. If he had not found the packaged weed, he would have been convicted for drug peddling and probably end up in jail.

She said, “I wanted to buy another car for my dad but Uncle Mark now told me to save more money and build the house that I promised my mom. So, I talked with my manager and they built the house and furnished it. See the house now, is it not fine?

“If it is for my mom, it is for everybody; it’s for my dad too. My dad is married to my mom. After all, they are living together.”

Emanuella attributed all that has been happening in her life to “God’s grace”.

“Everything is God’s grace. I never ‘experrit’. When God wants to use you, He will use you at the right time,” she noted.

Popular Nigerian singer, Seun Anikulapo-Kuti has taken to social media to call out Lagos state government, over threat to shut down the New Afrika Shrine.

Seun, the youngest son of famous afrobeat pioneer Fela Kuti had scheduled an #Endsars movement meeting to hold at the Afrika shrine, on Tuesday, November 17th, 2020.

However, yesterday the singer shared a screenshot of a letter sent from the Nigerian police force, instructing him to suspend the scheduled #EndSARS meeting.

In reaction to this, Seun Kuti took to Instagram to state that the government may have succeeded in shutting down the gathering but the launch of his resistance group ‘The Movement of The People’ will still hold.

She threw a shade at her ex-husband with the statement as she insinuated that he was a liability in their marriage and she doesn’t need any more liabilities.

Maureen took to her social media page to appeal to men who are unable to pull down the walls she has built around her not to be infuriated as weak men aren’t her thing.

According to her, it will take a strong man to get her full attention, in a relationship context I presume, because she came out publicly few months ago to declare that she is now single.

A man identified as Jamel has been pleasantly surprised by his girlfriend, who showered him with 30 gifts for his forthcoming 30th birthday.

Jamel’s birthday is in 30 days and his bae specially planned 30 gift items in a room in their home, which he is meant to open one daily till his birthday.

According to his girlfriend, the “big surprise” took months of work and she did the major planning while he was at work.

The man’s girlfriend filmed the moment he walked into the the room where she arranged the assorted gifts in a corner.

In the viral video, there was a customized board on the wall with the inscription “Happy 30th Jamel”, which has 30 cups and gifts boxes arranged around it. The set up was like Santa Claus landed in the room.

His girlfriend noted that each cup contains a sticker representing one of the gift boxes and he is meant to punch one a day to get the corresponding gift.

Jamel was stunned and could believe his eyes when his bae unveiled the gift boxes. The first gift he unwrapped was a pair of sneakers and he looked thrilled.

Kiki Mordi, a staunch feminist then responded by writing “Multiple sex partners”.

According to her, so long as people practice safe sex, they shouldn’t be ashamed of having multiple sex partners.

A Nigerian man known on Twitter as Tare Brisibe has caused stir on social media following his wedding to a lady in Romania.

In a post he shared via his handle, he was seen in four pictures together with his beautiful bride in beautiful print as they both wore facemasks.

Many social media users wished the couple well, however, some Nigerians believed that the marriage could have been an arranged one for the man to secure citizenship.

Popular Nollywood actress, Mercy Johnson ad her husband, Prince Okojie were spotted enjoying family time in a pool, alongside their 6-month baby, Divine.

Make-up artist who went missing after leaving home for a job, found dead

A Nigerian makeup artist identified as Ijeoma Neke who was reported to have been missing after she left home for a job has been found dead.

The lady with the Instagram page @wake_n_makeup, was last seen on Wednesday, November 11, 2020, after she left home for a job from which she never returned.

According to reports, she asked to know the venue for the job but was simply instructed to meet the client at a bus stop in Enugu.

After, the client picked her up from the bus stop and was taking her to the job venue, the makeup artist reportedly felt something was wrong and immediately texted the client’s number to her brother. That was the last time Ijeoma’s family heard from her.

People started raising alarm on social media few days after she didn’t come back as the search for her begun.

Unfortunately, after the missing person’s report started going viral, she was reportedly found dead around Maryland, Enugu.

There are photos of a woman’s dead body making the rounds online claiming to be Ijeoma’s body. There are also reports that her body shows signs she was bathed with acid.

Families and friends of the victims are demanding justice for her, as they call on the Enugu State government and police to apprehend her killers.

Nigeria is not cursed, we deserve better than APC and PDP – Lawyer says

A Nigerian lawyer, Tope Akinyode has said Nigeria deserves to be governed by persons from any political party asides the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC and Peoples Democratic Party, PDP.

He made the statement in reaction to the clamour in some quarters for a return of PDP to the central seat of power (Presidency) in 2023.

According to Akinyode, Nigeria as a country is not cursed, hence there is no need to tie its destiny to the PDP or APC.

Speaking via Twitter, he stated that people planning to return PDP to power in 2023 are embarking on a lost cause.

“Those planning to return PDP to power in 2023 are embarking on a lost cause. Nigeria is not cursed. Our destiny is not tied to APC and PDP. We deserve better than the misrule of both parties,” he wrote.
