The excited sister who took her Instagram page to share a photo of the surprise gift thanked her sister, noting that no word can perfectly express how she feels.

This car gift is coming few days after the actress gifted her mother .

Similarly, Nkechi also shared a video of the car gift on her verified Instagram page and noted that family come’s first in all endeavors.

Aliyu, one of the sons of the former Vice President of Nigeria during Obasanjo’s tenure, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, is set to tie the knot with Fatima Ribadu, daughter of an ex-EFCC chairman, Nuhu Ribadu.

The wedding is scheduled to take place on Saturday, October 10 at the Ribadu’s residence in the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja.

According to reports, Atiku Abubakar has flown into the country for the wedding ceremony, after spending nine months in his Dubai home.

Lagos cancels independence day parade

The Lagos state government has cancelled the Independence day parade that was slated to hold on the 1st of October, in celebration of Nigeria at 60.

The governor of the state, Babajide Sanwo-Olu opted for a lowkey celebration due to the COVID-19 pandemic, and directed that the parade and other activities involving the gathering of more than 50 people should be cancelled.

Sanwo-Olu in a statement released by the Commissioner for Information and Strategy Mr Gbenga Omotoso enjoined Lagosians to keep embracing social distancing and washing of hands with soap and water.

The statement reads,

“The Lagos State Government opted for a low key celebration of the 60th Independence Anniversary due to the ravaging effects of the COVID-19 pandemic, which is still with us.

“Governor Sanwo-Olu directed that the planned parade and other activities that involve the gathering of more than 50 people should be cancelled.

“He congratulates Lagosians on this auspicious occasion and strongly advises that they should celebrate quietly at home and pray for the country. They should also observe the COVID-19 protocols, including wearing of face masks to protect themselves and their loved ones”.

Popular Nollywood Actor, Adedimeji Lateef has shared his opinion on the importance of time, in a new Instagram post.

The actor in his Instagram post noted that while people think ‘time is going’, they are actually the one going because they are finite and time is not.

Lateef also advised his followers to make better use of their time, while also pointing out that the worst thing to do with time ‘is comparing yourself to others’.

He wrote;

It is a mistake to think time is going. Time is not going. Time is here until the world ends. It is you that is going. You don’t waste time. Time is infinite. You waste yourself. You are finite. It is you that grow old, time doesn’t. So make better use of it. And one of the worst things to do with time is comparing yourself to others. The Chief Executive Officer of MultiChoice Nigeria, John Ugbe stated this on Wednesday at the prize presentation ceremony.

In other news, the comedian recently blasted a follower who queried him for opening an Instagram page for his daughter.

Apparently, someone hacked Tiwa’s Instagram page and Seyi Law took to his page to make his followers aware of this development.

Seyi was appalled when an IG user took to his comment section to ask him why the little girl had an IG page at her age.

Mavin records boss, Michael Collins Ajereh better known as Don Jazzy marks two years of being free from smoking, today, September 29, 2020.

The popular music producer who quit smoking in 2018, took to his social media page to celebrate two years of abstinence from intake of any form of harmful gaseous substance.

Sharing a time warp record of how long he has been off smoking, Don Baba J as he is sometimes called, wrote; “Hehe it’s 2 years now.”

As of 6pm on Tuesday, the image Jazzy shared read;

Big Brother Naija: Lockdown alumna, Lucy recently took a jab at some fans who inquired about Nengi during her friend, Wathoni’s live session.

Wathoni started a live session on her Instagram page and featured Lucy who was with her at the time — Lucy took control of her phone to talk to her fans too.

However, she in course of giving shout outs to the viewers, notice some comments inquiring about Nengi, and Lucy seemed to be displeased with them.

Lucy is heard saying it’s Wathoni’s live session and fans should be more concerned about the person holding the live session, not someone else.

“What is Nengi, Nengi, you people don’t have shame?” Lucy said.
