The gorgeous and excited mother of two who survived COVID-19 alongside her husband and daughter earlier in June, shared lovely new photos of herself on her official Instagram page this morning as she expressed her gratitude to God for making her see another year.
She wrote alongside the photos,

A lady who narrowly missed out on graduating with a first class has taken to her social media page to share how she overcame the sadness with the hope that it inspires someone out there.
The lady said she’d gone through every single phase: Denial, Anger and then final Acceptance. She was sad that she couldn’t achieve her goal and at a point she had to quit her job.
However, she later realized she had so much to be grateful because it dawned on her that she was ”graduating with a whole degree in Mathematics as the outgoing president of her department.”
Sharing photos of herself in her academic gown, she wrote ;
I finally mustered strength to do this after so long.
I’m sharing my graduation story. I hope it strengthens and inspires someone out there.
I went through every single phase: Denial, Anger and then final Acceptance.
I didn’t realize until then how so much of my self worth was tied to my grades. I remember asking God, why didn’t you just leave me on a 4.2 or 4.3? Why did you bring me so close to leave me here?
I had to quit my job cause I was losing it and I remember how dark those moments were.
Then something changed, I listened to a podcast by @sam_adeyemi titled “Gratitude, the ultimate attitude”. He talked about how we often tie so much of our identity to the things we don’t have.
He said despite the amount of goodness that was in the Garden of Eden, somehow Eve tied her identity to that one tree they were not allowed to eat and it became so much of a problem that she lost focus of all the other amazing fruits that they had.
The very one fruit that she couldn’t eat became a problem and her focus.
And right there and then, I realized I had so much to be grateful for, I had so much to celebrate. I was graduating with a whole degree in Mathematics as the outgoing president of my department.
I looked inward and I started to list every single thing I had that was worth celebrating and after doing this, I genuinely could not understand how despite all these things I had, somehow the one very thing I didn’t have became a problem that cost me my job and my sound mind.
And I just want to speak to the mind of those very few people who didn’t get what they wanted, maybe you didn’t graduate with the grade you desire or you’re not even graduating at all this year and you’re starting to doubt and question your worth, please look inward.
First thing first, you are not defined by your grades or the year you graduate. Choose to celebrate the littlest thing about yourself and remove your focus from the things you don’t have which most times you don’t even have a control over.

Big Brother Naija ‘lockdown’ housemate and current head of house, Erica has tagged Vee her rival as she said she’s trying to sabotage her.
Thus far in the show, Erica and Vee have renounced their friendship and they do not meet eye to eye because of Laycon and some issues related to her relationship.
Last night, Erica told her romantic partner, Kiddwaya that Vee is trying to make her lose by any means necessary. According to her, Vee’s approach to house activities in her reign is different as compared to other people’s.
Kiddwaya on his part, said she should enjoy her week, stay focused and disregard any foul play from other housemates. He added that she should allow Prince to handle the housemates.
A young man was caught after he tried to shoplift up to a dozen ‘canned fish’ from a supermarket in Lagos.

Dorathy, Neo, Lucy and the rest of the teammates were gathered, sorting things out ahead of Thursday night’s wager task.
However, Lucy felt her presence wasn’t needed at the table since her teammates refused to adopt some of her ideas in the wager task discussion and she walked out on them.
Dorathy was not happy with Lucy’s behaviour and thus berated her in the presence of other housemates.

A 57-year-old man allegedly killed his wife and two teenage sons because he had a headache and was tired of their shout.
The man identified as James Lee Webb was arrested and charged with capital murder after calling the cops on himself on Monday, August 31, 2020.
According to the affidavit for arrest warrant, Webb and his wife, Victoria Ronack Bunton, began arguing at around 10am on Monday morning after he complained of having a headache and that her sons, aged 13 and 16, were being too loud.
During the argument Webb allegedly produced a handgun and shot his wife before killing his two teenage sons.
The suspect reportedly waited one hour before calling the police and confessed to the crime.
When cops arrived they took him into custody. When Webb was interviewed he allegedly told a detective that he was tired of his family yelling at him and telling him there was nothing wrong with him.
He is currently being held at Lew Sterrett Jail and his bond will be determined by a Dallas County Magistrate.
The couple’s neighbor, Chanel Lockhart told Fox4 that Webb’s wife was nice to everybody.
She said,
“Last time I saw her, she was getting groceries out of the car and the boys were helping her.
“You would never think that he would do that. And she had a heart. She was so sweet to everybody.
“You’d never think that one day he would call and say he killed his kids.”
Another neighbor, Justice Johnson, told the outlet,
“I’ve been knowing them for two years, going with their mama to the grocery store, helping with groceries, getting on the school bus.”
Her daughter, Sylvia, added,
“I didn’t talk to them as much. But when I did come outside, they’d speak. They didn’t just walk past me. They’d be like, ‘hey.'”
A pastor identified as Chukwudi Chukwumezie has been arrested by men of the Anambra State Police Command, Obosi Division.
Chukwudi, a 34-year-old pastor of Mountain Zion Deliverance Ministry, Ugamuma, Obosi, was first arrested on 23/9/109 for luring and having unlawful carnal knowledge of a 15-year- old girl at a hotel along Eze iweka road Obosi under false pretense of making a deliverance prayers for her.
Police detectives took the victim to the hospital for medical Examination where penetration and laceration of her hymen was confirmed by the medical doctor after which suspect was charged to Court for prosecution.
However, same suspect who recently jumped Court bail had on the 16/7/2020 and 4/8/2020 allegedly defiled another fifteen years old girl from iyaba Egbema in Ozubulu using same modus of false deliverance.
The victim was equally taken to the hospital for medical examination where penetration was confirmed.
A Nigerian lady, Laura [pseudonym] was set up by another lady, said to be her friend and got beat up by a group of other women because she was dating her friend’s ex-boyfriend.
One of our readers who shared information of the incident with us, revealed that Laura’s friend, identified as Toyosi called her to a particular place and had her friends gang up and beat Laura ruthlessly.
When we asked our reader what led to Laura being attacked by the ladies, our reader said it was because Laura was dating Toyosi’s ex-boyfriend. According to our reader, Toyosi and her boyfriend had ended their relationship a while back because he was tired but proceeded to date her friend, Laura, which prompted Toyosi to attack her.
Toyosi apparently wasn’t okay with their relationship and so she lured Laura to a particular in the guise of them talking about the situation properly only for Laura to be attacked by Toyosi and the rest of her clique.
The incident as shared by our reader, occurred yesterday, August 31st in an undisclosed location. Our reader told us of Toyosi’s alleged character, describing her as a bully who’s usually aggressive with people and feels she can get away with whatever she wants because her mother is a retired police officer.

The singer recently recounted how her church banned her from singing in the choir after she got pregnant.
Waje made the disclosure in a live chat with gospel rapper, Bouqui and she went down memory lane about her ”relationship” with the father of her child

“I got into a relationship in SS3 and the relationship went from ‘puppy love’ to sexual. At that time, I felt I

Viewers of BBNaija have appealed to the organizers of the reality show to disqualify Erica for indirectly campaigning for votes for Kiddwaya.
Recall that Erica emerged as the Head of House after the HoH challenge. Announcing a new rule by big brother, Erica told her fellow housemates that the usage of the words “votes” and “fans” is hereby prohibited in the house.
In a late night conversation with her lover, kiddwaya who was nominated for possible eviction. Erica was seen telling him to keep his mind at rest, as her fans will vote for him.

A young Nigerian Man has taken to his twitter page to share a terrible experience he went through after he was kidnapped by men of the Special Anti-Robbery squad in Oyo State.
According to the young man identified as Ralph, his covid-19 status saved him from further police harrrasement.

I left Oyo town around mid-day to Ibadan earlier today, we were barely 15mins to the journey when our bus was stopped by men of the Nigerian Police. Those who ply that road very well would know that there’s a particular
“check point” where police men normally extort drivers. I was seated at the 2nd to the last row of the 18-seater bus with two ladies and two guys at the last row.
When they stopped the bus, they ordered us to come down, I and one of the guys at the back row. We were the only ones that looked “fresh” in the bus according to one of the officers. When we came down, they started searching our pockets, I had a lot of pockets because I was wearing a Denim jacket, black shirt, black trousers (not ripped) and a pair of shoe. I was also holding a sling bag which contained, my camera, wallet, charger, my 2nd phone, a shirt and my work ID.
After the search, they told the other guy to enter the bus, apologized to the driver and passengers and told them to go (without me). My heart started racing because it was in the middle of nowhere and my voice literally started shaking.
They started asking me different questions after I had shown then my work ID and camera for photography but one of them said that I was lying and that because my voice was shaking, I was definitely hiding something.
He seized my phone and my ID and told a policewoman to take me to the car with a driver already waiting. It was not an official car, it was a “Micra” (popularly used in Ibadan as taxi) but this was a blue one.
I refused to enter the car and the woman threatened to hit me, that I was going to jail. Jail ke, who did I kill? I insisted I wasn’t going anywhere with them because I did not do anything wrong, neither did they find anything on me.
The other male officers saw I was resisting and said “Put am handcuff”. One of them came and pushed me into the car. While I was there, they had already stopped another car and picked another victim. I was scared because I have read stories of victims of SARS on twitter.
They asked the new victim to sit on my legs in the car while two of the officers sat on both sides then the journey started. While on the road, one of the officers collected my sling bag and took my other phone, which was a “Nokia torchlight” phone.
He opened my inbox and started reading my messages. He came across a message from NCDC that stated that I tested positive to COVID-19 about two months ago. He looked at me in disbelief and kept quiet.
I noticed his expression when he saw the message. I took the clue and said “I get Corona o”. The lady officer screamed and shifted away from me. I told them that I came out of isolation few weeks ago and I was still recovering.
The other officers started laughing because it seemed funny to them. They didn’t believe until the officer who held my phone confirmed that he saw the text. They stopped laughing and everywhere was quiet.
They drove us to a town called “Moniya” in the outskirts of Ibadan where there station was. When we reached, they asked the other guy to write a statement and they asked me to sit down. They gave me my phone to unlock, that was when I tweeted, they didn’t notice because
they thought I was entering my password. Unfortunately, the tweet didn’t deliver because my data was off. They started checking my phones and my ID. The lady officer was literally avoiding me now.
When they could not find anything incriminating, they asked if I could speak Yoruba, I said “No” which was not true. One of the SARS guy we met at the station even asked which country I traveled to that made me contract COVID-19.
That question surprised me because it only meant that he does not believe that there’s COVID in Nigeria.
About 15minutes later they agreed **in Yoruba** to let me go but I had to drop “10K for fuel”. I told them I had just 500 on my pocket and nothing else. They gave me back my belongings and asked me to go.
I told them I didn’t know the way to Ibadan and they described a place where I could get a cab to Ojoo. I was close to Ojoo when I noticed they didn’t give me back my work ID, I told the cab driver to stop immediately, I took a bike back to the station and collected my ID.
It was an quite an experience for me. But thank God it was not worse than that.

Cuppy recently revealed that animal sounds inspired the album, Original Copy.
In a statement to The Cable Lifestyle, Cuppy said she visited her family’s farm in Epe, Lagos, where she recorded series of ambient and animal sound samples used in the album.
“I went back to my roots, where I am from; Epe and mixed with the locals for inspiration, I visited my family’s
farm and recorded lots of ambient and animal sound samples.

The media personality took to her twitter account to share her experience. She stated that she was hounded and bullied until she was ashamed to even leave her house.
She added that she was labelled “Anorexic” and “Snobbish” because she could hardly socialize because of her predicament.
According to her, she battled depression for 8 years but has been out of that dark hole for 5 years now.

“When I was battling depression & lost weight, many thought I was on a death diet & hounded me till I was ashamed to go out. A News Daily called me Anorexic. I got labelled “Snobbish” cos I lost every ability to socialize….Hmm Things are never what they seem. Let’s be guided.
My battle with depression lasted 8 years. I have been out of that dark hole for some 5 years now & I wrote a book on my experience. I am fantastic thanks to my family especially hubby, God & my therapists. There’s a lot of self effort required on the journey to recovery.”
She also encouraged a “kindness culture” in her recent post on Instagram. Possibly related to the late Chadwick Boseman, who was bullied whilst he was sick with Cancer.

A Nigerian Photographer has taken o his social media page to call out Popular Singer and African Giant, Burna Boy for Intellectual theft.
According to @webgod30, he shared a similar picture in 2019 and he was convinced Burna Boy stole the idea for his album cover which was release in August 2020.
Sharing photo above, he wrote

The actress who quit her marriage three months in, spoke about letting go of the past and working out a better future for herself and her family.
She publicly apologized to everyone she has hurt in the past – friends, family, colleagues, business associates. She urged everyone to be cool with her, as she is ready to work with them again.
Speaking to her ex-husband, Abounce, she stated that the past is the past, what they had didn’t work out and they should move on. The mother of one added that it is nothing but love, peace and mutual respect.

An unemployed Nigerian man has ordered his girlfriend who pays his rent and caters for all his needs to be submissive.
A WhatsApp conversation between the couple has surfaced online and it shows the two of them arguing over what they expect from each other.
In the chat the girlfriend is seen complaining that her boyfriend always wants to show that he’s the man of the relationship by beating her.
According to the girlfriend although she pays his rent and foot all the bills in the relationship doesn’t make him less a man.
Kenechukwu drew his girlfriend’s attention to his inadequacy with regards to her funding of the relationship makes him seem like a weakling, hence his decision to constantly beat her.
He noted that because she’s the one providing funds, she has not been submissive in the relationship.
The unemployed boyfriend insisted that he doesn’t like it when any of his orders are not obeyed.
However, the girlfriend told her man that the days when women blindly follow their man’s directions without question were over, that if she thinks his idea or suggestion is wrong, she would speak up.
After the long conversation, the boyfriend refused to change his stance and the girlfriend ended the relationship.
An Arabic teacher identified as Ismaila Saheed, 38 and one Toliha Sabith, 20, have been arrested by the Ogun State Police Command for defiling a 15-year-old girl.
The suspects were apprehended following a report by the victim of their devilish act who reported at Redeemed Camp Police Station that Sabith forcefully had carnal knowledge of her on the 25th of August, 2020 at Imedu-Nla area of Mowe after which she went to her Arabic and Islamic teacher to inform him.
Having listening to her ordeal, the Arabic teacher, Saheed told her that she might have gotten pregnant as a result of the incident and offered to help her remove the said pregnancy.
Surprisingly, instead of removing the imaginary pregnancy, he allegedly took the advantage to also have carnal knowledge of her, after which he inserted a sharp object into her private part causing her a serious vaginal injury.
Upon the report, the Divisional Police Officer, Redeemed Camp Police Division, SP Bala Yakubu detailed his detectives to go after the two suspects and they were apprehended on the 28th of August, 2020.
According to the police, the suspects had confessed to the commission of the crime.
The victim is currently being admitted in a hospital for proper medical attention.
Meanwhile, the Commissioner of Police, Edward Ajogun has directed that the two suspects whom he described as animals in human skin, be transferred to the Anti-human trafficking and child labour unit of the State Criminal Investigation and Intelligence Department for further investigation and prosecution.
